Skyrim removed/missing and unable to re-add

Good Day all,

I have been playing the skyrim standard edition for a few days now and I was successfully using the vortex mod manager and the nexus website to install and run mods.

This afternoon i logged into the vortex app to find skyrim is no longer listed as a supported game. I tried to search/scan for the file to only get the message: 1 game discovered (0 new). and now I cant get my new mods to install via vortex as the app does not see I have skyrim standard edition.

I have verified the game files via steam and I would like to avoid a complete re-install if possible, does anyone know what I can do to resolve the issue?

I also have the skyrim extension enabled.

Go to GAMES---->SHOW HIDDEN GAMES

Anything?

Yes that was one of the first things I tried with no resolve. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both vortex and skyrim with all my mods to no avail.

It was just random, I did not add a mod prior to the issue occurring.

Would you have any other advice/options?

Go to "Extensions" and look for "Game: Skyrim" in the list. If it's been disabled it means you either did it by mistake or Vortex encountered an error and had to temporarily disable it.

I did with no luck. I have tried turning it on and off. I am a little lost as to what to do.

I re-disabled it and restarted the vortex program and the skyrim game is listed again. I have no idea why that resolve did not work last night or first thing this morning but it seems to be working again. Thank you for the quick reply and help/direction.

Sorry to have wasted your time! Thanks again though.

If you go to the games tab in Vortex, in the bottom right corner, you will see a "search for games" button. What happens when you try that?
