Microsoft asserts that Windows 11 will increase gaming performance. I am not sure of this claim as it may be limited to newer titles. Has anyone here that may see this installed Windows 11 and played FO4? If so, can you share your thoughts about the claims made by Microsoft.

I won't 'upgrade' to a newer version of windows, until the 'new' version has been out in the wild for at least a year. MS tends to change too many things under the hood, and cause all sorts of havoc from program compatibility. It will be years before MS stops support for windows 10, I figger, by that time, they should have *most* of the bugs ironed out of 11. :D

The main thing I would be concerned about is not the actual game, but all the tools that mod makers use!

I personally won't be switching to windows 11 on my "gaming pc".

Never change a running system.

Funny reactions for a modding site.

I can install it as my chip is newer, BUT, like the rest of you, I have my doubts. Microsoft went from no more new Windows to OK, here is one more. The declaration that it improves gaming is interesting, but then again they made the same claim with their Game Bar which actually impacts my performance with FO4. I never like to be as early tester of OS as they prove to be more of a thorn in my side than a nice spring rain.

BTW, what is better then roses on your piano?

Just had to do it. Had no crashes yesterday so I am in a good mood.

Microsoft makes a lot of claims that are simply untrue. And yes, they love to use the general public as beta testers. Terribly sorry, but, I am not going to volunteer of that. :)

My machine supposedly doesn't meet the requirements for 11, no TPM 2.0, which I could fix with a firmware update, but, I am not going to. If that prevents MS from *sneaking* windows 11 on to my machine, like they did to a LOT of folks running windows 7, forcing them to 10, so much the better.

Just read an article basically bashing Microsoft's claims that the upgrade is game friendly and efficient. Apparently, it is not playing nice with AMD chips. Will wait a long time before I update.
