Archive invalidation is nowhere to be found

I swear at one point it was their but now its either not working or broken. it says that its their in the extensions menu but that's all their is no way to use it and I checked in game (skyrimse) and its clearly not functioning as all vanilla textures that should have been changed remain unchanged

Skyrim SE does not need archive invalidation, so the option does not appear. If the BSA files need the dates updating Vortex will send you a notification when you first manage the game with a "Fix" button.

There was a report in the Skyrim SE forums that that method doesn't work with Gamepass. Manual Archive Invalidation is needed.

Not debating. I don't own the Game Pass version. But I am curious why that would matter. Isn't Game Pass just some sort of DRM?

My best guess is that Gamepass interferes with the changing of the file dates. The person making the report said that no loose files were loaded until they tried the old AI method that required INI edits.
