How do I remove swear word filter? So if someone writes f*#@ or s#*! it doesn't show up as "s***" or "f***".

I asked in another forum thread and some stuck up twenty year olds got their "sensitivites" triggered.

So please tell me how I fix that. I cannot find it in the settings.

Congratulations, mate - you found the correct forum. I was worried you'd gotten lost.

If anyone's curious, here's the other forum thread.

No, that one said "you don't" which is not a reply.

And I mean in the nexus mods, not here in the forums

that's the answer.

how do i ..... you don't.

you can't find it in the settings because it's not there. hence "you don't".

what are you missing?

Being able to communicate without using profanity is a basic social skill, sadly some people lack this skill which is why there is a filter, one that can't be disabled for obvious reasons.

From our Forum & Commenting Guidelines:

No profanity. It is perfectly possible to express yourself using civil language. Do not attempt to circumvent the profanity filter.

If there's some specific term that's causing some kind of issue we're happy to consider removing that specific filter, however if you just want to call someone a #@!#?& @%!#?\|# then there's just no need for it.

Also, I believe the filter alters the word as it's being posted, not as you're reading it. So, even if there was something you could turn off, it wouldn't matter. The original word just isn't there.
