Guest deleted34304850
did the California Office of the Attorney General class that as harassment, or is that you, in your official role of standard bearer of the downtrodden?
showler
"harassment" has a very specific meaning when the discussion is about the internet. "Strawman", on the other hand, can mean absolutely anything apparently.
Dark0ne
You're still being a clown, unfortunately. It is not up to us to prove it is the user's browser addons and/or privacy settings blocking our own site's login cookies (i.e. not tracking cookies) from working. They can choose to try and troubleshoot the issue or not. Ultimately, it's their choice, and if they don't want to take our advice and try our suggestions then that's that. Prattling on about laws that have absolutely no bearing on this issue is simply daft.
Arthmoor
One should also keep in mind what OP wants: Control of another person's account. Can you imagine the privacy implications of that should Nexus allow this to take place? IMO, OPs request should be denied on the grounds that it's absurd, but it's also certainly something that would violate privacy laws. Not just the silly ones passed by California. ScytheBearer
Just a note for all the folks who pooh poohed the California Law and any effect notification of the California Attorney may (or may not) have had, look what we have here. Nexusmods allowing users in California to block tracking cookies in accordance with California privacy laws.
showler
Glad you brought this back up. What did the California privacy boss tell you when you reported the site? Or are you trying to use the site/advertising service adding an option to block advertising/analytic cookies as proof that you were right about the site functional cookies? Pickysaurus
The message you see there is from the ad provider. I don't really know why you felt it necessary to necro this thread, but I'll lock it now.
