Suggestion: Changelogs should be compulsory

All mods that get updated should include a detailed changelog on description page or risk a warning or the mod removed.

Some mod updates ain't for everyone,  we shouldn't have to ask for changes when it should be included with every update.

A lot modders do keep people informed but others don't care or lazy. There should be some consequence for last 2 groups.

Nothing about mod uploads can be compulsory. Mods are uploaded by mod authors voluntarily and come without any warranty or support. If a mod author chooses to provide support, it's an extra and not a requirement. If you feel that a mod isn't good enough one way or the other, then do not use it. It's that simple.

Im suggesting something that's not unreasonable and should be a requirement when sharing mod updates not only is it right thing to do, it could implement something not for everyone s liking or could break / conflict with other mods.

What your saying its ok keeping changes to mod updates secret just be grateful you got it otherwise don't download it 👍

No, what I'm saying is that users are not entitled to mods, as is stated in the rules of Nexus Mods. Mods are not products made for consumers. They are mostly made for the mod maker's personal use. Of course, there are exceptions and other attitudes, but in any case users should not treat mods as products with warranties and support.

I think the reason lots of people, myself included, don't do proper change logs, is because they're on a separate page from the actual file upload.

It's super easy to upload a file and just forget to update the changelog, because that requires going to a separate page.

I list my changelogs on the main description page because of that. They are more likely to get seen there.

Accurate changelogs are nice, but I say nay to them being enforced/required.  How and why would it be enforced to older mods, mods who's publisher/author stopped modding for whatever reason(s)..?  I have several mods by authors who are dead, many more by others who have quit.  Accuracy or not of the information in their mods' changelogs, or lack thereof irrelevant.  Their uploaded work should NOT be removed just because of lack of accurate changelogs.

Personaly I see more problem if an update is problematic and I can't revert to older version. Changelogs are fine, but what percentage of users actually read them? Making them compulsory will do more harm than good in my opinion.
