Oh my gosh Erellie is so cute!

And wow, you converted the forsworn armor with only nifskope? That's pretty cool.

Thanks.

There is still a little work that needs to be done with the Forsworn armour. From certain angles, such as the side, you can see the behind of the mesh, which is invisible, making it so you can see through it. Might try and put it in Caliente's Outfit studio and use it for something other than CBBE outfits.

Oh no, bummer that the eye morphs aren't working correctly. On the bright side, Braith looks muuuch more her part, and the forsworn children look great.. not to mention Erellie. :D

I'm just going to use the now spare eye sliders for something else. Probably altering the angle of the eyebrows.

Regarding Braith. Because I've altered the skin texture (but not output everyone's facegen data) I now have kids with super light heads and dark shoulders and hands running about. It's amazing that I now found out that the kid that sits in Bits and Pieces is a Redguard. I could tell by his dark hands. Confirmed it in the Creation Kit.

The vanilla texture for children is so light, that even though the Redguards use the same skin colour as the adults, it barely has any effect on them.

I'm not sure how I'd even start with beast races. I know there are a few that add some, but I have no idea how in-depth they are though.

Thanks for the comments everyone.

Thought I'd give a little update. Sorry, no pics today.

I've started work on the esp proper. The old one I was working on was mainly for testing morphs and such. Apart from some tweaks to the Orsimer, they're pretty much done.

I'm going to list what I still want to do.

1. Finish tweaks to race morphs, then start altering the male and female versions so that there's a bit of variety between the sexes.

2. Add in worn looking clothing for use with the children in the orphanage.

3. The huge task of finding every child NPC, and making them look more unique.

4. Finish the main file, and make it an ESM. then add plugins that will add elven children to the world (they will already exist in the esm)

5. Make plugins for hearthfire and Dragonborn support.

Also, while looking at Jarl Balgruuf, I found that his son Nelkir is marked as his brother, and his other two kids aren't even listed as relations. Wondering if I should fix this.

^^ Thanks.

Okay, I'm going to put this out there in case anyone's interested and able to assist.

I'm going to list what I would like to add (but don't have the ability/time to figure out how to do). This is more of a wishlist than anything that's required.

1. New hair selections. Simply put, there are scarce few hair selections for the children. The new hairs can be something as simple as mesh edits of the existing children's hairs. I've already duplicated and re-textured the short imperial hair to make curly and slicked back versions, but I would like medium hair. Also the girls need more hair selections. It doesn't need hairlines, just in a similar mesh style as the default hair is.

2. More clothing selections. Most notably rich children. I feel Balgruuf's kids need better clothing, his daughter's spoiled and her attire should reflect this fact. This also includes shoes.

That's pretty much it. While these aren't a necessity, it would be nice to be able to have them.

Thanks all.

Who's up for a little update?

I believe I found all the children. Had some help with some wiki's, but they were missing some such as little Pelagius (from the Sheogorath quest)

Just the vanilla kids right now.

Braith and Lars.

The Balgruuf kids. I think that they still need a little work, but are okay for now. They really need clothes that befit a Jarl's children. Can add some for the males, using vanilla assets, just not dresses as there aren't any that can be easily adapted.

Riverwood children. (Note the hair Dorthe has, and 2 of the Redguard female hair are the only vanilla hairs that'll fit unaltered child head without looking totally awful)

The Orphanage.

Now with the pics out of the way, onto some insight I've gained while doing this.

It has become very apparent to me that the children were neglected badly. For instance, the "shoe feet" aren't affected by colour gradients. Tried changing the "Skyrim Shader Type" in nifskope to a skin tint, but that didn't seem to work. So what you end up with is different coloured feet when wearing shoes. Might just retexture the foot part of the body texture to make it look like they're wearing socks or something.

Also the clothes. Unlike other clothes where in creation kit you can alter the textures, you can't do that with the children clothes. You have to have a different .nif for every colour variant (at least it didn't work when I tried)

Another thing. I wasn't going to include a childhead.tri because I didn't alter the vanilla .tri in any way. Turns out when a kid has the imperial hair style, and has the "DialoguePuzzled" and "MoodPuzzled" facial expressions, part of the head moved out, clipping through the hair (Just a bit, like a little square). I had to extract the .tri from the BSA and fix it.

And the last thing is tintmasks. I cannot include things such as warpaint, because I cannot get them to reliably work. Often I get a big mark across the forehead, and if I export the facegen like that, then in-game, they have the big brown forehead. It's annoying but there will be no warpaints. As for Forsworn children. I'll probably just have a tattoo on the detail map (which is what wrinkles and freckles are on.)

Just a note. Even though I've output all the facegen etc, doesn't mean that these are the final versions of how they will look.

That's all for now.

Wow. I'm seriously impressed with all you've done so far and I'm looking forward to the mod's eventual release, I think I'll dump my original clone faced potato monster replacer for this!

One thing that might be worth pointing out is, I think children have proportionally larger heads and larger eyes than adults. Here's a few reference images I thought might help.

Eye placement in relation to rest of body of various ages.

and finally a head only reference pic

Great work... and such fast progress! @_@`

Ah, I'm confused about what you mean by the children's clothes and color variants.. hmm. I actually have been working on a children's overhaul, too (quite different though and not as true to lore! OTL``) -- and for their different outfits I've managed to get their color variants to work by using the CK, and not having to duplicate the .nif itself. How I've been doing it is by creating the ARMA, ARMO, TXST and outfit type (forgot what the abbreviation was), then assigning it to a child as his default outfit in their inventory..

Also, I believe that tktk1 allows his assets to be used - and he created a few hairstyles for the boys and girls (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49756/?) if you haven't considered it :D

There is a mod that add outfits that may fit what you want. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/54580/?tab=3&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmodimages%2F%3Fid%3D54580%26user%3D1&pUp=1

I didn't know they where so rash with the kids that much. It would be nice to see more colors and shapes of them. They look like twins.

What you doing is amazing, I hope it will reach a stage where everything works. Thank you for this.
