Mok214
A hearty thank you goes out to VirusTotal for helping NexusMods stay safe and secure. As far as NexusMods users go, beware of "Required Files" that cannot be downloaded from NexusMods or other trusted servers.
Faralai
Trying to download a mod but it says scanning for virus's, 6 hours later and its still scanning...is this just a rare occurrence or is it going to be like this for every mod? wickedGRL
In response to post #16546849. I would think it's going to be like that for every file because you have to consider the amount of Skyrim mods uploaded daily on Nex-Sky and then you have to keep in mind that it's under queue due to other files taking priority in line before it and then other files prior to that so it's all a mix with a ETA. Thandal explained that it isn't just files from here, it's from any website that uses VirusTotal for it's file scanning. It's a good idea, but it could have a huge impact later on when a popular modded game comes out and it's just blowing up uploads left and right. playingskyrim
You mentioned staff being able to upload files to user's accounts in the past. Does this mean they had access to our password?

Thandal
You mentioned staff being able to upload files to user's accounts in the past. Does this mean they had access to our password? No, no access to user passwords. Ever. The file system simply allowed the Staff to act as the mod author and add/edit things. (Plus a few things authors can't do, like set a file to "Moderator Review".) One of the more common actions is setting the "Adult Content" flag when an author forgets.
