Oblivion Mod Detectives

Hey I'm new to Elder scrolls and decided that Oblivion should be my first ES game... I played an absolute ton of Fallout 3,NV,and 4... I decided to do Oblivion before skyrim because I don't have alot of free time to be at home with my desktop, but do have a ton of time put and about in town on my laptop and my laptop can't run Skyrim SE or Fallout 4... So Oblivion it is... one issue I am finding is the lockpicking, it sucks but I don't want to cheat... is there any mod that makes lock picking like Skyrim, and fallout 3, nv, 4?

Anyone know of a mod that prevents everything from attacking my horse?

 

Bear attacks horse, horse runs, I chase bear, wolf joins in, troll joins in, bandits join in...end up on other side of map.

 

If I can't stop them attacking the horse, is there at least a mod that will play the Benny Hill music for me?

Have you tried using the CS to set the horse's personality to a ridiculously high value? Personality affects disposition and high enough values will cause enemies to stop being hostile. I know it works for the player, never actually tried it with NPCs or creatures.

I used the console to up the horse's personality to 200. Didn't seem to have an effect.

 

I then added the horse to the faction that comes from the KOTN boots so it would have the "one with nature" benefit. That seems to have helped, but only works on natural animals.

 

I wonder how high I can pust the personality and whether that would benefit?

Horses are in the Prey faction (you can confirm this by checkling any horse with the console command getfactionrank 5d556). You can remove any horse from the Prey faction with setfactionrank 5d556 -1 (after you've selected the horse in the console of course).
