Another Mod Site Stealing Mods?

I'm simply tempted to put "NEXUSMODS.COM" tags in all of my preview images now since those are ripped so cleanly, as well. Would this be in poor taste?

It's not in poor taste at all. I advise you to do it. I also advise mod authors to add a readme to their rar archives telling people to only use copies of the mod downloaded from nexusmods. Unaware people could easily be getting not only stolen intellectual content but also malicious code added to the original packages.

I actually like their site, not as bloated as nexus, I'ma browse theirs instead from now on.

they also stole my mods but I don't care, let there be some competition and maybe nexus can fix their laggy outdated website.

I'm happy to let people mirror my work elsewhere, but they won't have much luck finding my attention for support. I'll update my mods to show they're from the nexus, though.

Mine on google are first found on that site. As mentioned from others, it doesnt bother me that my work is used from others but they could at least have asked before uploading it. On nexus

people upload their work willingly.Apart from that, i will help users here and upload here my works so it is up to them keep uploaded.

At the end no one will ever beat Nexus Mods.

Nexus will always be first in Search results just simply of the traffic.

 

All these small sides will hit the dirt sooner than later cause no one will ever use it.

 

You are assuming that everyone uses Google or speaks english. My dad is Russian and he uses Yandex, because it's a popular Russian search engine. If I use Yandex to search for fallout 4 mods Nexus is actually the 3rd listing down, not the first.

Or if I use my native language to phrase my search, Nexus wont show up until the 3rd page of results: "fallout 4 моды", or fallout 4 mods in english.

There are countless search engines out there and many of them don't have nexus listed as the first mod site.

 

Yep today after rethinking all that i realized that too that it doesn't work at all

 

I like the idea of branding,watermarking screenshots videos and stuff.

 

But in a consistent way,like the "Forever Free Logo"

Instead of everyone doing their own,someone could make a for example "Exclusive Nexus Content" Logo ...you name it.

For better recognition and uniform branding for everyone.
