Modded? Skyrim.

Non-modded? Can't choose just one, but...

Final Fantasy VIII, X, XI, & XIII-2

Morrowind (when it came out, now? I doubt it unless Bethesda totally remakes it with Skyrim's engine at least...)

The Legend of Dragoon

Xenogears

Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time

Demon/Dark Souls

My current all time favorite is Modded Oblivion, loving it to death.

However there are several other rpg games, which have been hugely enjoyed by myself , and may or may not of been my all time favourite at some point in time including

Diablo 2 LOD

Final Fantasy IX (am I the only person who liked that FF the best)

Star Ocean: Till the end of time

Lionheart Legacy of the Crusaders

Dragons' Age Origins.

I am also hoping the Dagger XL thing comes out of alpha one day, so i can try Daggerfall without needing to use a DOSBox.

It has to be Demon's Souls or Dark Souls for me. I'm leaning towards Dark Souls because there are almost no load times, but both are excellent.

Oblivion gets an honorable mention because it was one of my first rpgs, and it made it impossible to play most other rpgs. After Oblivion it was a long time before I found another rpg that I didn't hate by comparison, lol.

My top 5 CRPG's are as follows:

1st = The Baldurs Gate series

2nd = Fallout 1

3rd = Wizards Crown & The Eternal Dagger [sSI made these very early CRPG's]

4th = Betrayal at Krondor

5th = Jagged Alliance 2

Kotor 2, the Wizardry series, Morrowind, followed by Deus Ex, PST, DA series, ME series, Fallout 1 and 2 and BG series.

Never considered The Witcher as a RPG, it felt more like a action/adventure game with RPG elements.
