This is my thoughts about Vortex and feedback

From your second screenshot, I've actually seen a situation where the dropdown for mod versions showed the same version. (I think I mentioned that earlier in this thread) I don't remember how it happened, but I wasn't sure which to keep or if either one would work, so I ended up just removing both archives and re-downloading the mod to make sure I had the right one.

Voila. Well done capella6707 !!

Glad to see I helped someone out!

Looks closely capella6707, there are 2 versions : 3.0.7 and 3.0.6 and on the last screenshot, where you have to remove the archive, it says : Cutting Room Floor ( 3.0.6 ) ( Archive Only ) .... so your procedure is perfect so that is why I added those screenshots to help others ( on your behalf ) to apply your procedure. The last step of your procedure was unclear to me so I had to figure it out. Others won't have to do anything but following yours and the last step screenshots added by me.

Thanks a lot for helping us. We have some people participating in this forums that are really helping others and that is all about, help each other to understand Vortex better and have less frustration. New Vortex users ( especially now that we are in Beta stage ) will appreciate this. Again, thanks so much capella6707 ...

You bet!

(I didn't know Vortex was officially in Beta now - great news!)

Yeah, sorry about the confusion. We have two channels you can get updates from (see settings), named "beta" and "stable" to indicate that with one you get early pre-releases for bugtesting and with the other we distribute only releases that were previously tested on the beta channel. The about dialog shows the channel from which you got that version.

This was not meant to indicate that Vortex has left alpha state. We will announce publicly when the alpha ends, you will not have to learn about it from the about dialog...

Did someone make a typo? When I select 'About' from the upper right menu, the title line says 'VORTEX 0.15.0 BETA'

As of 8:00 am Central time on 5/17 mine still says 0.14.3

Oops - just saw Tannin's post about the two channels. I'm set to the stable channel.

Then you do not have the latest version. Probably set to "Stable" channel.
