SirSalami
Hello there. It's possible that Vortex was not configured properly for Morrowind, as our internal testing has shown that Morrowind modding via Vortex is functional. Please ensure that the "Install Path" found in settings under the "mods" tab is set to a directory outside of your game installation. This may resolve the issue for you. If not, please try to describe in more detail the issue as well as your workaround, with screenshots if possible, so that we can diagnose the issue properly. Hope this is helpful. Thank you! Zanderat
Morrowind veteran here. Many MW mods were not packaged in a standard way. that might be the root of the problem, depending on the mod.
HadToRegister
Morrowind, and Oblivion, and I've been running into that with Fallout 3 and Fallout: New Vegas, which were all before and during, when mod packaging was starting to develop standards towards moving away from Manual Installs in favor of Mod Manager installs
Krystel14
Yeah back in the day we all had to install mods manually, skyrim and fallout 4 kinda changed things on that.
