HadToRegister
Someone just complained about accidentally hitting the purge button, which reminded me that I have the Purge Button enabled as well, and accidentally hit it once by accident, and ended up purging all my mods.It would be nice to have an ARE YOU SURE? Confirmation, or at least one that could be toggled On and Off for the people who don't want/need the confirmation.
rmm200
I will say Purge is one of the least destructive operations we have.Hit Purge by accident? Hit Deploy. No harm, no foul - and everything is as it was.Purge is one of the first things I recommend people do if they need to see if their game directory is clean. It's still pretty damned inconvenient for a non-stoppable process because of a mis-click, when you have a ton of Xedit hand edited mods, and 279 of them to boot, while waiting for the purge and inevitable redeploy to take place before you can click "Play" again

rmm200
Why is the fact that the mods were Xedit hand edited relevant? Did something about them keep them from Deploying successfully? Were your hand edits lost?
HadToRegister
A function that does what PURGE does, should have a confirmation. Imagine if DOS didn't have a Y/N? prompt for Format C:\I know, I know, Purge is different from format, however, it still needs a confirmation, because it can take a long time depending on the number of mods and disk space. rmm200
May I ask how long Purge takes on your system? On mine, with 150 mods or so, it is never more than a few seconds. It is not like mods are actually being moved; just hard links deleted.

It doesn't matter.A function like that, that is unstoppable, and/or has no confirmation is a bad thing in any program.
DoctorKaizeld
Yeah it needs a confirmation. Add my vote for this
