rmm200
Could I ask you to try a different browser and see if you get the same popup. Maybe Firefox or Chrome.
HadToRegister
You must've changed the file association for NXM links in your browser, since I don't know which browser you're using, I can't tell you how to change it
H311St0rm
I use Chrome.I have most definitely not changed the association. At least not on purpose :)
HadToRegister
I use Chrome.I have most definitely not changed the association. At least not on purpose  Since you use Chrome, did you also click the FIX NOW for the "Fix Nexus Mod Links in Chrome (Only required for Chrome. Requires Chrome to be closed.) Button? Tannin42
Ignore the way chrome phrases it. When it says "Open Vortex" it means to say "Let Vortex handle the link" but apparently that's too many words for google's average user... This is something google have changed in chrome 77, previously you had a checkbox "yes, now don't bother me again with this" which has been removed: https://support.google.com/chrome/thread/14194567?hl=enIf you have an account, feel free to vote appropriately on the issue... H311St0rm
@HadToRegister: I did use the Fix now button but it did not do anything. It just gave me a message saying no change was necessary.@Tannin42: It doesn't matter what the phrasing is. It asks me that every time i click a "mod manager download" link with Vortex open or not. Dark0ne
It asks me that every time i click a "mod manager download" link with Vortex open or not. Yes, because a recent Chrome update removed the ability to "remember" your preferences. It's a Chrome issue and nothing to do with us, unfortunately. H311St0rm
I also have a laptop and this does not happen on the laptop.Going to check what version of Chrome i have on the laptop but i usually keep things up to date.
Spellshade
To circumvent it would an extension or userscript be in the cards? Just something to send the nxm URI to Vortex in a way that bypasses the typical protocol handler?Edit: Given Chrome controls 60~% market share in browsers especially. H311St0rm
So on my laptop which I am using right now, i have "Version 77.0.3865.120 (Official Build) (64-bit)" and it does not behave the same way. It works as intended, when I click the mod manager download link it just has Vortex do a download. No pop-up. So it can't just be Chrome's fault. Something else is also happening . . .
