HadToRegister, you get one message if you change a file and another message if you delete a file. I just tested with v1.1.1 and I got both types of message, depending on editing or deleting a file in data-directory.

Ah, ok.

I've never really paid attention to the pop up before, mainly because I'm always editing and changing the contents of the ESPs in my load order.

"Links were deleted . . . ."

"File content modified . . . ."

I find each of these current warnings and instructions perfectly intelligible. Am I the only here who thinks that?

I already said I made a mistake

Anybody else want to join in?

I wish to join you in saying how much I appreciate you and your contributions to these discussions and to this forum.

How about just saying " keep changes, yes or no?"

The problem is that - at least when the file content was modified - I only know that the file in staging and the one in the game directory differ, I can only guess which one is the old content and which is the new, so I have to describe what the change is that Vortex has picked up and what it will do for each option so that the users, who should know which files they edited, can see if Vortex is mistaken.

With a yes/no or ok/cancel kind of query it's way too dangerous users would simply click yes, yes, yes which in your case for example would be fatal.

This dialog needs to be a little bit intimidating to ensure the user takes a moment to try and understand what's going on and what effect each click will have - the easier we make it the easier it is to shoot yourself in the foot.

Regarding your actual problem: Unfortunately I'm not able to reproduce it. Is it possible Vortex was killed/crashed in the middle of a deployment? That's the only way I could see this happening. Could you provide the log from when this happened please?

Hi, Tannin42. I will be glad to provide the log. But I am not sure where it is. I see five vortex.log files in AppData\Roaming\Vortex. The earliest is from 11/24 and issue I encountered was on 11/22.
