I'm trying to play Skyrim with mods.

I downloaded vortex, installed SkyUI and i already had SKSE installed on steam.

Loaded the game to a vanilla save

"SKSE not detected, SkyUI will not work without SKSE"

so I download SKSE and install it to my PC.

Same error message

NMM was a better program. Eff Vortex.

You did not ask for help so I will not offer any.

I will however make some observations.

It is not Vortex' job to detect SKSE. It is your job to install it correctly.

It is also your job to make sure your game is updated, you have a matching SKSE that supports that version, and SkyUI and all other SKSE mods are updated to the current version.

Now go back to NMM.

Too bad you missed the part about setting SKSE to PRIMARY in Vortex so it would actually run, but hey, you know best.

If I read the OP's post correctly, I can summarise it thusly;

  1. I didn't follow any instruction.
  2. It didn't work.
  3. It's Vortex's fault.

Is that correct?
