Vortex reactivates unneeded plugins

Well, Vortex doesn't know how to handle separate All-In-One plugins that replace original plugs. I have all three of the Bijin mods for SSE and added the separate AIO plug but when I delete the original and replaced plugins, Vortex says the plugs are missing and wants to delete the associated mods. In other words, I have to keep the unneeded plugins in the data folder and deactivate them in Vortex, where they get reactivated every time Vortex sorts load order in any way.

You're expecting far too much from Vortex.

I don't know of any mod manager that would know that an AIO ESP should replace 3 separate ESPs and leave them disabled.

What you're expecting is magic.

What I expect is Vortex acknowledging the AIO like NMM does. In NMM I can delete the original esp plugs from the game's data folder without NMM wanting to delete the mods afterwards. Vortex wants to delete the mods once the plugins are missing and doesn't take the AIO as the plugin for the mods. Again talking about the Bijin mods. Never a problem with NMM but for Vortex it's magic, eh?

Using the Bijin mods in question, I cannot replicate your problem. I installed the four mods, disabled all plugins save for the AIO plugin, and deployed. I then switched to another game altogether. When I switched back to Skyrim SE, everything was as I had left it. The AIO plugin was enabled and the other three remained disabled. (By the way, I prefer Bijin Hunks, but I can't find any.)

I have the exact same Bijin mods installed, 3 stand alone disabled esps, and the one AIO enabled.

I switch between SSE (311 mods 3 different profiles), Witcher 3, and Enderal, no issues, I also just switch between games, some people from what I understand like to PURGE first, then switch Games.

Did you read what I wrote? I cannot delete the plugins or Vortex complains and wants to delete the mods because the individual plugins are missing while the AIO plug is installed. Vortex also refuses to use the files when the individual plugins are deleted despite the AIO being installed.

Then, with the AIO activated and the three individual plugins present but disabled, when I let Vortex sort my plugs, it reactivates the deactivated individual plugins.

Yes, we both read it.

You CANNOT DELETE the Plugins, because Vortex will restore them, or delete the entire mod

Stop trying to make vortex do things it can't do, or turn it into NMM, then start a new thread, spamming the forums for every single problem you cause.

I post this stuff to help when you suggest things that are already IN Vortex, and instead you get irritated, so I'm done.

I'm very puzzled why Vortex reactivates when you sort. I wish I had a ready explanation, but I don't.

When I sort, the three individual Bijin plugins remain disabled while the AIO remains enabled. Vortex does not try to reactivate the three plugins. Meanwhile the AIO continues to use the assets of the three Bijin mods, since I've not disabled them on the Mods Page. In the time I've been using Vortex, I've always successfully handled AIO's in this manner.

Hi Jimmy,

You're probably referring to the "External Changes" window that comes up if you delete the files from your data folder.

Take a good read of this window. It's not talking about deleting mods, it's asking if you want to save the changes you made back to the staging folder. Vortex will always check when you do this as it's possible files were deleted by accident. Another method would be to disable the mod. Right click -> Open in file manager. Then delete the plugins you don't want, enable it again and deploy.

I could be wrong but I think you issue stems from not understanding the "External Changes" window.
