Vortex: texture-mods do not work, all other mods work fine. Any ideas?

Hello forum,

after searching the web for similar problems, watching nearly all related videos and reading through all threads here in the forum which seem to be similar to my issue, I still cannot find the reason for the problem and decided to open an additional forum post.

Hope you can give me some advice.

I currently face a problem with modding fallout 4 in combination with Vortex.

Problem:

I use Vortex to install and manage my mods for Fallout 4.

Most of them are working fine but nearly all texture mods I install have no effect ingame.

Does not matter where I place them in load order, always vanilla textures are used.

Tried to create a group and added some texture mods there and set them to be the last load group but no change.

I already tried to reinstall most of them without success. After installation I enabled the mods of course via Vortex.

All .esp and .ba2 files are visible in my data folder after pressing enable.

I am also a little bit confused, when I use two different texture packs which both overwrite the same texture, shouldn’t there be at least a notice in Vortex about which mod should overwrite the other mod?

I have this option when two non-texture mods are conflicting, but never had this with any texture mod.

I added all necessary entries in my config files, in the fallout4customer.ini under C:/user/mygames/fallout4… for example I added the lines:

[Archive]

bInvalidateOlderFiles=1

sResourceDataDirsFinal=

Do you have any idea why none of my texture mods works? What am I missing?

Any help is highly appreciated. If you need any further information please let me know.

Thank you in advance ð

If one of the two or both are BA2 archives Vortex can't see what's inside, so you won't get an overwrite message

Hello,

i added some files which include my ini-files and some screenshots of my plugin list.

I highlighted some mods which do not work.

Furthermore i added a screenshot called "vortex groups" which shows mit loot groups.

I resetted the groups and now it does not look like before, the user-interface group is splitted from the other ones.

I hope those are not to much files or information but i think its better to provide more then less info ;)

@HadToRegister

i install the mod and then i enable it, do i miss something?

Because i havent done more for other mods before and they were working..

Thank you for your help, really really appreciate it.

In general i try to find this out by myself but i spent so much time troubleshooting without success.

(Because i cannot upload all the files i put them on google drive, hope it is allowed to post links here)

Did you click on the PICTURE ICON in the toolbar, then paste the URL of the image in the box?

Any way, I can't find the "SavrenX" mods, but I have a feeling that they are all conflicting with each other.

Also, not sure WHY the Texture mods weren't just made as loose files, then an ESP wouldn't even be needed

Well i already disabled all but only one, still no change. I think there should at least some textures be loaded, shouldnt they?

Thank you in advance.
