  1. Yet another shameless PLUG. Teehee, I'm awful.
  2. This sounds like an awesome idea; Quite similar to EVE, if I may say so. I'm honestly disappointed that warriors are the only ones who get the cool finishing moves/effects; I was hoping mages would get some awesome death-blows, like impaling your opponent with an ice-spike or something. So I'm hoping someone makes a mod that's kind of a mix between EVE and Deadly Reflex
  3. http://www.skyrimnex...file.php?id=178 Here you go. It's not covered for the NPC bit, but this mod, and quite a few others turned up that let you have more than one rune.
  4. Um. That's called Alteration bro. Bethesda just neglected the awesomeness of the concept, and focused on revamping Destruction only.
  5. I, for one, think the final shout should be the one Alduin uses to resurrect dragons from their burial mounds; but to each his own.
  6. Truly these are the REALTrolls! Trollololololoooooo
  7. I don't think lights to ALL the trees in Skyrim would be a good thing, but hell yeah, I want some christmas lights in Skyrim. Particularly in/near Solitude and Winterhold. Maybe put some huge lights on the big tree in Whiterun.
  8. I want more "Boss" type enemies. Kind of in the same vein as a Dragon attack. Something big and threatening that comes out of nowhere. Which, I hate to bring up, is what Oblivion Gates should have been. A dangerous random encounter that springs from under your feet.
  9. I love this idea. In fact, I absolutely require it. You know how in the tutorial, there's this patch of oil underneath the Legion/Stormcloak soldiers that you can set on fire? When I saw that, I was thinking "Hopy s***! You can actually effect the environment like Bioshock! Awesome!" But NOPE. Shoot a frost or shock spell at water, and it does NOTHING. I'm not asking for like, every tree you hit with fire to burn down (Although that would be cool), but I am asking for the fireball you cast to NOT go through the water like it just flew through a cloud or something. Here's what I'm thinking: Fire spells should boil water as soon as they hit, dealing damage to anything near the surface, possibly tiring enemies, and dealing stamina damage.. If it's a huge spell like Fireball or Firestorm, then the water should explode a bit. Frost spells should freeze the water, and anything in it. If you hit a deer swimming in the water with Frostbite, he'd freeze and sink to the bottom like as if you had hit him with the Ice Form Shout. Also, you can walk on frozen water, making Frost spells double as waterwalking. Lightning spells, as normal, SHOULD FREAKING ELECTRICALLY CHARGE THE WATER! Not entire rivers, mind you, but if it's a tiny pool of water, it should charge up like it's an oil patch. Anything that's in the water takes health and magicka damage, and becomes stunned. EDIT: Oh man OP, you're getting into some Waterbender type s***. Although, using rain as a tactical advantage would be cool too. Like, the first spells; Frostbite, Sparks, and Flames, they should all become more powerful in the rain. Flames would turn the rain into steam, letting you blast your enemies like you're a Centurion. Sparks would essentially turn into a spray chain-lightning spell, jumping from each rain-drop to hit your enemies, essentially extending it's reach and damage. Frostbite would turn the rain into tiny ice-shards, and send them at the enemy.
  10. They did kinda screw up the yield system. There's no way to yield if you accidentally hit your companion or a guard and live. And even if you defeat them, not only may they not die if they're essential, but they'll make EVERYONE ELSE HOSTILE. It's shitty. Someone's gotta fix the yield system.
  11. +Approval I'm sick of it taking 20 ice storm spells; ICE STORM SPELLS, to kill an atronach. And my flames/frostbite/sparks spells are still at 8 damage a second. It's shitty such important things DON'T scale with you. Another thing: Magicka cost should decrease the higher you get in a certain school. Like how a Destruction mage can get more charges out of a lightning staff, than an Alteration mage. Like I said, it takes about 20 ice storm spells for me to kill a flame/storm atronach, but I cast 5 of them, and my magicka is completely depleted.
  12. Yeah, they aren't drawing everything from nordic/swedish/whatever, because otherwise, the game would be called "Viking" or "How to Train Your Dragon". The Elder Scrolls DOES have it's own lore, you know. Always going back to the lore... 'what if the lore has gaps... what if it feels inconsistent at times...' dont start thinking yourself... at certain rare places trolls would be most exquisit... the taste of more beasts and certain rare monsters... diversity of fighting tactics... savior the taste of blood... This style of troll would be cool; certainly a great addition. Hell, I'd kill to have the trolls from the Fable games somehow incorporated into a mod, however, the way the top post was phrased, it made it seem like the developers had made a mistake on their part or something; As if they had stated "We're going to have NORDIC trolls! And that's the way it's gonna be!", and yet they didn't deliver. I'm perfectly A-Okay with lore-breaking things, it's just the kind of "reparative" phrasing that makes my teeth itch. "Oh, the game draws from Nordic mythology; But they made the trolls wrong!"
  13. You could try doing texture recolors of the flame atronach, and replace the frost and storm atronach with the flame atronach mesh, that is, if that suits your fancy. Of course, I'm not sure how well the flame atronach models would work with the tanking, melee-attacker frost atronach.
  14. Yeah, they aren't drawing everything from nordic/swedish/whatever, because otherwise, the game would be called "Viking" or "How to Train Your Dragon". The Elder Scrolls DOES have it's own lore, you know.
  15. Have any of you ever been to Blackreach?
  16. This, please. I turned my graphics all the way up once to see if I'd leave footprints in the snow. My game froze. But I still didn't have footprints. :{ Someone fix this.
  17. I agree. It's very jarring for immersion.
  18. You could make a kind of cavernous forest grotto, like where you go to revive the gildegleam, or whatever the hell that tree was called. That place was pretty until the Spriggans showed up. f***ing nymphs. >:{
  19. I think that Ice Wraiths should have been a definite conjuration spell. However, to keep in with the fact that it's undead, would it be possible to maybe make it like a reanimation spell, where you require a corpse as the target, but instead of reanimating the corpse, it makes it into an Ice Wraith?
  20. A RIFT: Planes of Telara conversion. Even if it's just a retexture of Alduin to look like Regulos, it'd be badass.
  21. I miss the poison shaders from Oblivion. I mean, sure, it was weird, and it would conflict with any enchantments you have, but it's really hard to tell if you've poisoned your weapon or not, or even if you've poisoned the enemy.
  22. Screw what the console customer thinks! We are the **P_C** community and we want this CK utility NOW dammit! Oh and thanks for reminding me why I hate Micro$oft. Yeah. It's all so there'll be more incentive to buy the DLC and expansions and feast upon their console slaves, instead of let modders make better things for free.
  23. Sorry if this question sounds completely noobish, but where do you go to look for the skeleton files for Skyrim? Do you need another program along with NIFSkope to extract them out of a game file? It appears I am unclear in my issue: Where do you find the skeleton.nif files? I've done multiple searches, for hidden files and not, and have had no results.
  24. For online purchases It's called microsoft points, great little system where you can alter the value of anything at anytime and nobody notices  And the costs are always in crappy uneven increments that leave you with like, 10 points left over. Good gog I hope not. Because if they release it after the DLC or expansion or whatever, then EVERYONE will buy that instantly, and put it into their mods, leaving nothing that uses just the vanilla content. :C
