  2. Check the dialog conditions for her greeting, and that the quest with her dialog in it has started.
  3. Where is your game installed? If it's under program files, which is the default steam directory, that is probably the problem, not the geck itself (thouh it could use work, sure, but it's free so what do you want). Google or search this forum for UAC for more info.
  4. Are you enabling the reference directly, or does it have an enable parent that you are enabling? Use an enable parent, and set both items to the same parent. On item 2, tick the box that says something like 'set state to opposite of enable parent. Then whenever the parent is disabled, it will automatically enable item 2 and vice versa.
  5. It depends how severely you want to tweak them, and their beginning state. Most likely nothing you want to do takes years of training.

  7. I agree in principle, and I don't drop things in Goodsprings very much because it is so crowded. But if I did, and I posted something out of the goodness of my heart, and someone came along and complained about it, hypothetically speaking, I would tell them to become less helpless or else to keep their complaints to themselves. As for your CTD, if there is a conflict, FNVedit will show it. So it could be something with your save, a conflict you haven't seen yet, a bad mesh.. who knows. Need more info.
  8. Say wha? I don't get what copyright has to do with anything. They published the mod in the first place, I assume, so they wanted others to use it. I don't see the point in asking for permission to use it in your game and no others. Just do it. If you just can't bear to do it without consulting the person you would have to know of another way to contact them, outside of this site. As an aside, what do you mean you own 2 copyrights and "they aren't cheap"? Copyright exists at the act of creation and costs nothing (in the US anyway. Defending one is another issue of course).

Pretty sure I have male versions in all my NV stuff also. I also remember a thread, either here or on beth forums that was a pretty good list of armor mods that had male versions, so you could try to find that as well.   11. You could try editing the PipLight Base Effect and set the light to none.
  12. I don't know of an existing mod, but in geck under lights is an entry for "PipboyLight640". You could edit that so the RGB values are all 0 (which I would assume to be black), or edit it in some other way to suit your taste.
  13. Can you rephrase please? That sentence didn't quite make sense. Are you saying the mask covers the head but not the neck? If that's the case you can just put a "fake neck" there. If you want to send me the model I can show you what I mean.
  14. Sounds like too many plugins. How many are you running? Over 140 or so? Disable or merge and the problem will probably go away. You don't have the textures installed properly, or you don't have archiveinvalidation enabled. There are many other folders under meshes. You would only be overwriting the contents of another mod if those paths match. Most likely that is not the case, so no, no other mode will disappear unless they are changing the same thing.
  15. As I recall, rename to masterrestore and it will undo master update. Exact steps are in the doc.
  16. Is there a particular reason you did master update? NV doesn't have near as good results with that as fo3 did.

  18. If it is an NPC, make sure the plugin is an esm, not an esp. You said your character so I guess it's not that. If it is just with a certain armor, it could be shader settings. If it's not either of those work,look in fallout.ini and set bloadfacegenegtfiles to 1
  19. Is part of the player's head visible through the mask? If not there is no reason to keep it. Just make the mask use the head slot and it will replace the head altogether.
  20. That's because when you extract \data to \data, you get \data\data. Plugins only show up in the launcher if they're in \data, and you're putting all yours in \data\data. Move *everything* out of \data\data and into \data. When it asks to overwrite, say yes.
  21. What is her aggression set at? If it's the highest (frenzy I think) she will attack anything regardless of faction.
  22. The only reason you have to do DLCs before completing the main quest is because the main quest ends the game. As for how many, you could do all of them if you wanted to. I don't know how many there are.
  23. Don't know what you're talking about but modding is one thing, making merchandise or using trademarks in any way without a license is not something you should expect to be able to get away with for long. It might seem like shabby behavior but if you don't defend your trademarks, you will lose them.
