Was trying to locate the default character/character assets/female to attempt body/dark face bug fix, and cannot find the location when stuff is installed by Vortex... Did a search of the ...\Skyrim Special Edition folder, the ...\Data folder, and the mod staging area. No luck, and now I am just looping through the same solutions all over. I know it has to be pretty simple, I am just not seeing it. Thanks!

Weird bug that may be interfering with quest
7531Leonidas replied to TheAntiV's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
I think that I would suspect something happened with your Stunning Statues mod... There is one comment on there about textures not updating properly on a game save installation. -
If you use Steam, you can open the 'Library' view, then right-click on the 'Play' button, and go to 'Properties'. From there, click on 'Installed Files', and hit Browse. This will take you to the Skyrim Special Edition folder. You should be able to copy/paste the directory information, as long as you have windows set to show the directory.

SSE Fishing-Creation-Club Draugr Weapons
7531Leonidas replied to LusterCab's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
There is this mod ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/58783 ) - it also has a version to remove the 4 'free' CC mods. -
As far as I can tell, crash log interpretation is pretty much related to divination practices of many religions ;) At the very top of the crash log, it shows your system specs. It states: PHYSICAL MEMORY: 9.42 GB/15.81 GB. That is how much memory is used/total, I think. This would only affect the game if your graphics card needs more memory to swap out textures and other game-related information, as far as I know. That is why I stated that you could be having problems if large amounts of textures and other data are being moved around. Riften is known as a resource-heavy, demanding area. Also for consideration, Dinya Balu is an NPC found in the Temple of Mara and sandboxes (wanders) around Riften. Maybe something is not ordered/loaded properly by your JK's Temple of Mara. If you know how to use SSEEdit, you can look for conflicts. If you use Vortex, you can use the plugin list to look for LOOT errors. I think that if you use MO2 instead, you just check LOOT itself for error messages, I only used the SE version of MO a looong time ago.

Do you have the SKSE tool installed on Vortex, or do you use MO2? As long as you have the correct version of SKSE, it is usually just a matter of telling the tool where to look for SKSE, and the SKSE launcher where to look for SSE. Going AWOL is often a symptom of an updated Skyrim, so check your SSE version. First, is your skse64_loader located in your \Bethesda\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition folder - the same one as the SSE executable? Next, is it the proper version for your SSE executable? (2.2.3 for the 1.6.640 .exe) check ( http://skse.silverlock.org/ ) if in doubt. If you use Vortex, the tool must be set to find SKSE. Locate the 'Edit' function in the three dots to the right of the tool, look for both the 'Target' and the 'Start in' entries. Use the folder icon to the right of each to tell them where to look. The Target line must be directed to the SKSE64_loader.exe, and the Start In line is only directed to the folder the loader is located in (for me, that is the Skyrim Special Edition folder, which is where your SKSE64_loader should be installed). Things should now work.

AFAIK, ARM64 version is for tablets, etc running on ARM cpus (maybe some few laptops). X86 is for older, 32-bit processors, and X64 is for most modern CPUs found in most desktop and laptop computers.

Playing Anniversary Edition, can't load
7531Leonidas replied to KevinSmith7's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Did you look at the SKSE logs? They can show if certain SKSE .dll are not loading properly. -
Another consideration - you only have about 4 GB of memory free to work with for loading of information/textures/etc during the game. I do not know how well some of your mods work under such restrictions. The game may be crashing partly due to not being able to load enough data fast enough.

You have two different plug-ins listed plainly in the crash report. HDT-SMP and MuJointFix. Check Nexus for updates, maybe reinstall if there are none. Furthermore, it also shows you on v. 2.02.02 for your SKSE64. For your version of SSE (1.6.640), the latest version of SKSE64 is 2.02.03. First, I would try to update the SKSE to the latest version, 2.02.03, then start SSE again. Make sure that you look at the SKSE logs in your Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE to look and see which ones are starting properly. Any that do not, reinstall to enable the new SKSE, or d/l an updated version. The modding wiki ( https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins ) may be of some help finding updated mods/plugins. -
Via Google Translate - I hope that it did a good job. Beide Mod-Manager bieten jede Menge Hilfe an. Wenn Sie SKSE-basierte Mods sehen, die Sie interessieren könnten, gibt es eine Website, auf der Sie feststellen können, welche Version zu Ihren installierten Skyrim/SKSE64-Versionen passt (https://modding.wiki...rs/skse-plugins).

Hey, Anjen - have you checked the drive's file system integrity, or for disk errors? That would be my next step...

When I try to start a new character, many of the choices show lightened diamond or triangular shaped regions that are lighter in color, on the neck and chin areas. I use Tempered Skins and Expressive Facegen Morphs with the Racemenu plugin. Anyone have ideas on cause/remediation? Thanks!

As Skyrim starts up, it should show the version number 1.6.640 (Steam version) or 1.6.659 (GoG version). You can also right-click on the Skyrim .exe file and check its version through the Properties tab. There should only be 4 'free' Creation Club titles added for the base Anniversary Edition, or a LOT more (>30?) for the paid AE. Modding? Mod managers are a necessity. I think that you should use Vortex, it helps more directly with mod conflicts in a 'fire and forget' sort of way, but a lot of people use Mod Organizer 2 because of its increased flexibility, but with some increase in complexity. Both of these mod managers have a lot of help available. If you see SKSE based mods that you might be interested in, there is a site to help determine which version matches your installed Skyrim/SKSE64 versions ( https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins )

Haven't used it yet, but the mod QUI ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/65343 ) says it contains an additem feature.

7531Leonidas replied to KevinSmith7's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Before you hack on your install any further, did you check the SKSE logs, both the one in ...\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE and in the ...\Skyrim Special Edition\Data\SKSE folders? Might be some necessary information there. The crash log can list routines/script executions/etc. I usually look for mod-related info there. There is a Crash Log Analyzer ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/89860 ) recently made available here on the Nexus, I haven't tried it yet. -
What Could cause this (any fix for it?)
7531Leonidas replied to Iskela1's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Have you checked your game graphic settings (the Options on the Steam game launcher) to make sure that your DOF is properly set? If you are not running the latest version, do not try this unless you have used the appmanifest hack to prevent upgrades upon launch. -

Have you tried loading an even earlier save, and using a crash logger? What about copying the save, and checking it with a save cleaner (Resaver is the one I see mentioned most, I have not used it.)? Are you running any of the engine fixes mods to help with save corruption?
