What could cause mods to not show up in MCM?
7531Leonidas replied to jordangamer007's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
I believe that there is also a setting in Vortex to deploy a mod automatically when it has been enabled. -
Crash to desktop on new game and loading a game
7531Leonidas replied to JaxonHellsing's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
You can check the modding.wiki ( https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins ) for SKSE version compatible mods, just to make sure you have the right ones. You should probably post your full crash log in the spoiler next time, so it will show more of your game/system information. Also, take a look at CLA SSE ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/89860 ) it helps parsing the crash log from Crash Logger SSE, if you are using it. -
If/when you get them back this time, you might want to try the console command 'resetAI'. Like before, open the console, click on one thrall, then type in the command and hit 'Enter'. Sometimes it seems to work better if you 'disable' the NPC first, then resetAI, then 'enable'. This might help keep them from wandering, but if you have any follower managers, YMMV.

Crash to desktop on new game and loading a game

I saw this: C:\Games\Faster HDT-SMP\skse64_2_02_02\src\skse64\hdtSMP64\Hooks.cpp:314 ?onFrame@UnkEngine@hdt@@QEAAXXZ. If you are on Skyrim SE 1.6.640, the latest SKSE64 is 2.2.3, and this may mean that you are having a problem with a mod using (or trying to use) an older HDT-SMP. Another recent poster had something very similar, and he tracked it down to Skyrim Immersive Creatures - Addons and Patches having a problem with USSEP. Even if you are not running SIC, it may be a similar mod structured in a similar way. Maybe this gives you something to start with. Good Luck! -
The route to consequences for the events of Jan 6 are polluted in the minds of many Republicans, they - 1. do not believe that the mass media works in a manner that promotes full, impartial fact finding and dissemination, just like COVID information, 2. do believe that a large portion of the 'movers and shakers' in the various federal agencies maliciously work to attack them, 3. and that those same 'movers and shakers' will do every thing in their power to conceal, alter, or remove any evidence that might contradict their own biases and policies. Oh, and there is also the problem that if any of those in 2 or 3 are caught out, the prosecution/trial is held in the DC judicial district, where the neutrality of the process is very much doubted, as in the case of the agent that falsified an official report was not held guilty by the jury.

If your old save has your thralls in it, you could use that save to open the console, click on each thrall, and find its RefID, so you can write it down. Then use the console and the prid command to enter the RefID , followed by the moveto player command. If it doesn't show up, try again, but this time try the console command "resurrect 1" before you use the moveto player command. Since thralls are not alive, the resurrect command may not work, I don't know. FWIW, I made a folder in in the game saves folder, labeled 'Save Locker', so I can spam full saves, and move all but the last three or so into it after each gaming session. I don't move autosaves or quicksaves, making sure I make a full save before leaving the game. A shortcut to the saves folder on the desktop makes this a lot easier.

Have you double-checked that you have both the SKSE64 and Address Library versions for GOG Skyrim? Have you checked the SKSE logs in both your ...Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition/SKSE folder and in the ...steamapps/data/SKSE folder? These might have information on mods that might be breaking your game. The comments thread at ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/59818 ) doesn't have any posts about problems working on the GOG version, I searched it for "GOG". Maybe look there for help getting it to run on your setup. Also, check out the Crash Log Analyzer ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/89860 ) - it cleans up the crash logs a bit, and does some problem solving. Also, are you running any 'fixes' mods, those sites might be able to help you sort this out. Good Luck!

I am running 1.6.640 with v. 8 of Address Library and SKSE64 2.2.3 (Steam Version) - not seeing any problems. Anyone who is, check the modding, wiki @ ( https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins ) for appropriate mod versions/replacements for your SKSE mods.

Location Based CTD (visiting certain area causes CTD
7531Leonidas replied to Adonsa's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
There is Actor Limit Fix ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32349 ). There are also Papyrus settings in the Skyrim.ini ( I think that fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS is one of them - look them up) in your Documents\My Games folder, that can give you a little more time for loading data. You could also just browse the mod categories for 'bug fixes' and 'utilities' to help you find more modsthat might help. -
I was just trying to suggest a mechanic that might help you with your divine gems, you could talk to those authors to get ideas on how to script it, if you wanted to. I just thought that it would be a more 'immersive' mod in the sense of devotion and self-sacrifice. I hope that you get things worked out.

7531Leonidas replied to Avengersrule2002's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Something that I had to do with my Engine Fixes.toml (.ini of latest version) - there was some sort of option to make sure that tbbmalloc, the Engine Fixes memory allocator, was enabled. I had to create that line under the [Experimental] section, even though I thought that it was there before, just had to set to = true. If you want to try, put this "UseTBBMalloc = true" under the Experimental section. While you are at it, make sure that "MaxStdio = 8192" (the maximum) under the [Patches] section. Maybe check the defaults for the entire .toml on the Engine Fixes page? That .toml is in your ...\Data\SKSE\Plugins folder. BTW - when removing mods, check out the 'Remove Related' command - check the Vortex information - supposedly removes/uninstalls dependent mods at the same? time as the parent mod. I haven't used it yet, but it might help you bug check w/o crashes from missing dependencies. -
Do/can you use xEdit (SSEEdit) to find conflicts? Which mod(s) that you have alter conversations/interactions/AI? I would look at these mods, and find the conflicts in your (entire) LO first. Depending on your mod manager, you should be able to classify them by the mod type, to help yourself check which mod(s) might be culpable.

Yes, I have seen your posts, and I am sure that many others have also - Things you are missing to get help- Windows version - usually less important. Game version - critical. Mod manager you use and its version - critical. Mod list/Load Order (not really the same thing - texture only mods do not show up in the load order normally) LO is generally more useful for troubleshooting. - absolute must have. SKSE version (if you have SKSE based mods) - absolute must have. Also - use the spoiler tags to hide You can use the third icon from the left at the top of the post window, selecting the spoiler BBCode, or simply use the tags (spoiler) and (/spoiler), using brackets [ ] around each, in place of the parenthesis. A clear description of what is occurring, what you have tried, including complete error messages displayed. The vast majority of posts you have made are missing this. Comments like "I crashed - help me" or "Game won't start - help me" gives nothing to work from, nothing to analyze. Try to get one problem resolved before moving to another i.e.: Game won't start - solve first, game crashes during start up - solve next, crashes during play/other glitches - solve next. Once you get the first difficulty solved, THEN you might think about starting a new thread in the Technical Support section, or the Mod Troubleshooting section, if it is a specific mod you are having a problem with. Also, do not keep adding mods trying to fix/change something, until you have solved the earlier problems. It looks to me, from your many posts, like you have tried to take on too much, too early while building your mod list. I suggest you start from vanilla, then add on the unofficial fixes, engine fixes, etc. Then you can add a few mods - NPCs, armor/weapon mods, quest mods, then try the skin mods and body physics stuff. Once this is all working, then add more. Quit making a lot of posts in several areas/forums (I see you have 71 posts, and I don't think that I have seen more than two posts on a single thread) - stick with one thread, so everyone can follow what has transpired. Other users will try to help when they see stuff they are familiar with/have had problems with themselves. Give them something to work from.

[SSE] Not so much a Mod Request as a Mod Style Request
7531Leonidas replied to GrimstaffToo's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Maybe you should try the mod I'm Walkin' Here ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/27742 ). Removes collision between the PC and followers. Especially useful when near a cliff, and one of your helpful NPC's bum-rushes you from the rear. -
Have you looked at the SKSE logs? One set is in your .../Documents/My Games/Skyrim Special Edition/SKSE folder. The second can be found in your game's Data folder, in its SKSE folder. Look at both, see what, if anything, is not loading properly. It may not be Address Library, but one or more old/bad/corrupted SKSE mods failing. Just saw your other post, saw the comment about the 'missing .dll'. What is the exact message? You may have to go and d/l and install the latest C++ redistributable, AND reinstall Engine Fixes part 2 (is nothing but .dll inside). Also, you do have the 6.1.1 version of Engine Fixes? One last guess - when you reinstalled Part 1, did you go to the Engine Fixes folder in the Data/SKSE/Plugins folder, and make sure that the proper settings were in the Engine Fixes.toml, especially the MaxStdio setting (might consider setting it to the maximum, 8192)? That might do it, as well. Also, I noticed that the 'UseTBBMalloc =' line is no longer in the .toml under the [Experimental] section, and I was having some crashing until I added it, and set it to = true.

Can't download SSE Immersive & Adult collection
7531Leonidas replied to tomahawk96's topic in Vortex Support
Maybe something as simple as an adult content filter on your system/antivirus or on your ISP is misconfigured or misbehaving? -
Which version of Skyrim are you using? Make sure that you have all of the required files for Papyrus Extender installed for the version of Skyrim you are using. There is a modding.wiki page ( https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins ) that helps to summarize (and give links to) which SKSE and SKSE-dependent files match each version of Skyrim. If you install a version that does not match, it does not matter how many times you uninstall and reinstall. I use Afterlife in my game. If your error message is telling you to use version 4.5.6 or Papyrus Extender, that implies to me that you do not have the proper (version matching) files installed, since there is a newer version of Papyrus Extender.

[SSE] Birth and Labor Animations.
7531Leonidas replied to RyuTakahashi117's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
FWIW, I think that the crouch position is usable, so the pregnant PC/NPC can push the baby out easier. I think that several cultures did it that way. Not all births are with the mother reclining, especially in hazardous areas. -

7531Leonidas replied to Avengersrule2002's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Maybe you should go to the downgrader page, and post the error message there - might be something with a specific quirk with the downgraded versions, like a fix file (or anything else). For the Engine Fixes, you might be in some sort of catch-22 situation, where Vortex expects the latest dll, but you need the dll for 1.5.97? Changing the pagefile size - if you are on W10, hit the windows key, click on Settings, then open System, then About. Once there, select 'Advanced system settings'. You should be on the 'Advanced' tab of the system properties dialog, click on the settings of the 'Performance' item. Once there, again select the 'Advanced' tab, where you can change your paging file size under the 'Virtual memory' dialog. Hopefully a similar scavenger hunt will do the same thing under W11... Looked at the mod comments thread for Engine Fixes, code 126, and it says 'if you think you have it (C++ Redist) installed, think again' - did you make sure that you grabbed the x64 version, and not the ARM64 version by mistake? I did that in the past, the MS d/l page is easy to misread... -
Force booted to the main menu mid game
7531Leonidas replied to UnsaidColt's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Net Script Framework ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/21294 ) is usually used for 1.5.97, and Crash Logger SE/AE ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/59818 ) - needs SKSE, make sure that you grab the proper version of each for your version of Skyrim. -
Just Another Crashing Skyrim Game when loading Save File
7531Leonidas replied to Jinjoed's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE

Just Another Crashing Skyrim Game when loading Save File
7531Leonidas replied to Jinjoed's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
At first glance, I am wondering why the error statements contain "Faster HDT-SMP\skse64_2_02_02" when the current SKSE version is "build 2.2.3 (game version 1.6.640)" - from SKSE site. Also, XPMSSE just got an update in the last day or so... -

Well, that was my 'best' shot, but there was also a recent post about a too-small Windows swapfile causing a CTD. If I recall correctly, the author had severely limited the size, thinking it was ok because of their amount of installed RAM. Check the size of your swapfile, make sure it is more than just 2-4 GB. Depending on your installed RAM and disk space, maybe even try for 24 GB or so... Have you tried using the profiles feature to make your mod swapping a bit faster? That way, you could 'freeze' your original install, and disable/enable mods in the new profile. Just don't install/uninstall mods, as that can cause them to be removed from the staging folder, and break your older profile, I think. I haven't tried profiles much, I misunderstood how they work, and messed stuff up early on. You have verified your game files, right? (Assuming you are not 'downgrading' - if you are, it is real easy to get the wrong version of SKSE mods and cause problems.)
