  1. Any idea what happened to these retextures for the Nightingale armor? They were very VERY nice... the best ones out there imo. But... they seem to disappeared from the Nexus and the file no longer exists on here... what happened? :(
  2. So... why did those Imperial Legioners assume the PC was a Stormcloak?

He/she was hobbling across the border alone, unarmed, barefoot and in clothes that were fashioned from potato sacks. The actual Stormcloacks are always armed and always wearing unique and very easily recognizable Stormcloak armor. The PC had neither weapons nor anything that even remotely resembles the Stormcloac tunics.

How do the Legioners fail to see that indiscriminately killing innocent people in cold blood is only give others a huge motivation to join the rebels? Seriously, you do not win over new recruits or allies that way, and without either of those things, your military force is toast.

And why would anyone who is not a Nord be with the Stormcloacks anyway?! I don't think there are any non-Nord Stormcloack NPC's whatsoever. Especially an Imperial, High Elf, Dark Elf, Orc, Argonian or Khajiit - anyone of those races being involved with the Storecloacks, uhhh sorry, that just wouldn't happen. The Stormcloacks would absolutely not accept them (the fact that they accept the player regardless of race is just gameplay and story segregation). The rebels want all of them dead.

It doesn't make any sense why they wanted this unknown random person brutally killed.

Also, if they so badly wanted Ulfric dead ASAP, why did they not kill him first? That would be the most logical procedure, and that's how it's supposed to be done, in order from the most to least important person. Why put the random unknown hobo ahead of the most important and potentially dangerous prisoner present? (since is very skilled in the Thu'uml; the fact that he's gagged doesn't mean they are completely safe..)

  3. OMGWTFBBQ....

THE SPECTRAL ASSASSIN YOU CAN SUMMON AFTER GETTING SO FAR IN THE DARK BROTHERHOOD QUEST LINE IS... LUCIEN LACHANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh maan I swear, I actually cried. Lucien forever. I love you LuLa <3

Thank you so much Bethesda <<33

  4. I'm with the Imperials all the way.

The bit about Ulfric I actually found kind of heartbreaking. He has all of these people at his back, all of these people who've invested all of their hopes in him, thinking that in supporting him they are opposing the Imperials and the Thalmor, when in truth he's actually secretly working FOR the Thalmor himself.

The Thalmor are trying to divide and conquer and Ulfric is in on their plan. His victory is exactly what they want, so once Skyrim is no longer under the Empire's protection, they can storm in and take over.

Talk about a chronic backstabber. He is a traitor to everyone, he must die so the Empire can be restored and people can be saved from these rogue Altmer, many of whom are clearly mad as hatters. (I still don't understand what went wrong with the Altmer, two hundred years ago they were just fine and dandy. What the hay are they trying to do with the world and why??)

  5. Just saw a tweet on the steam forum bethblog someone from bethesda apparently was answering a question from someone on tweeter regarding the release date of the ck and they tweeted that the ck will be released towards the end of this month. This was posted 8hrs ago.

Right when I have final exams? Oh great.

Bethesda. I absolutely hate you right now.

  6. Is it possible to transplant the face data of the PC from one save to another? I want to start a fresh game as a character of the same race as my old one, but really want to keep his face because it was really tricky to make a decently attractive male elf.
  7. An Altmer is supposed to be able to walk around the Thalmor Embassy during the related quest and talk to the (normally hostile) NPCs there freely, though this is supposed to only work while wearing the Hooded Thalmor Robes. When I did the quest as my Altmer character I just got attacked so I just killed everyone and didn't try to interact with them. Didn't discover until later that it was because Bethesda is dumb as dirt and placed the *non* hooded version of the Thalmor Robes in the embassy for you to take, which do not work. So therefore I didn't get to experience any cool dialogue. Darnit. :(
  8. The issue is with the fact that they've broken their word repeatedly now. They said it would be "soon after the release of Skyrim". Didn't happen, two months later and counting is not "soon" (especially since it's literally right before final exams). Then they said between November something to early December... did not happen.

My philosophy? If you cannot keep your word, do not say anything at all.

  9. There's already ones for females but I haven't seen any nude mods for males around yet, has anyone else? Or are we not yet able to manipulate the meshes to give the the men proper "equipment"?
  10. That's the weird thing with video game characters, when the devs don't want them to be absurdly attractive, their only solution is to make them absurdly ugly.

IMO Hadvar is fairly decent looking. That guy who runs the inn in Ivarstead isn't too bad either. Marcurio is haawt.

  11. So does the whole Dragonborn thing still work the same as it did before? If the PC (dragonborn) were to have children they'd be Dovahkiin too?

Just curious. Not that I would WANT that to actually happen, especially if it's going to be forced to involve demon diseases, demon sex, demon dragon offspring, or being raped by schizo psychotic ghosts... http://www.thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/dark/wacko.gif

  12. What are your plans for changes if they ever release the modding tool? I think I'm definitely going to fix some of the animal behaviour. Yes, I'm a nerd.

Also, something to fill in those empty wall spaces outside Whiterun!

  13. No. Morrowind's hero never got such deplorable treatment and neither will my Oblivion hero. I never played SI and I never will. That is not the Champion of Cyrodiil (which my PC never even became), that is NOT my Malcolm darnit! Never! I refuse to believe it! It's hinted at, but he may just be saying to be a plain old weirdo, or making it up to fun, or in an attempt to drive mortals mad, which the Daedra of Madness naturally would be. That IS NOT Oblivion PC. NEVER NEVER NEVER.

No, I refuse to let them ruin Oblivion for me. Not going to happen.

  14. ...Sheogorath?! Please oh please tell me that IS NOT CANON... that IS NOT REALLY THE OBLIVION PC.... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No it can't be. I refuse to believe it. That is NOT my Oblivion character and it never will be, I refuse to accept that idea.

I never played the entire Shivering Isles quest so my character could never become this wretched.

He was an immensely powerful Breton wizard, and a vampire. The only guilds he ever became master of was the Dark Brotherhood, which I will believe still thrives in Cyrodiil because my PC was very very intelligent. And a vampire. He also become leader of the Mage's Guild, but eventually saw it for the waste and lost cause it was, and left to pursue his own interests in life. Because he's incredibly awesome.

He's still out there someplace, as evil as ever, continuing to thrive from his eternal salvation of blood.

My secondary character was a Bosmer rogue, also a very powerful vampire. He joined but never became the leader of the Thieves Guild; regardless I will believe Oblivion's Thieves Guild is not the same as Skyrim's, and the Cyrodiil one is still alive and well. He still leads the Black Hand and the Brotherhood, which again I will believe is still alive and well in Cyrodiil. He too is still out there somewhere, draining blood from unsuspecting victims.

I won't let Bethesda ruin the entirety of Oblivion for me.

  15. How often are you likely to encounter multiple dragons at once and how does this happen? Do they spawn from the same nest or something? And what's the largest number you can possibly encounter? I have yet to meet more than two in the same spot.
