  1. Hey what's with all the disagreeing, I said just sex nott necessarily sex scenes. Yipes.

And of coruse I'm more interested in just romance in general, our hero deserves to find his/her heart as much as anyone else.

  2. I only kill Loghain if I'm romancing Alistair (which almost always I am not). Any other time? Away with Alistair, Loghain is less of a p*ssy, I like befriending him and I feel a lot better about making him do the "ritual" as opposed to Alistair.
  3. Thank you for your help guys!

that's really frustrating about the meshes though... dont know how I'll fix it though since I couldn't find a program that can edit MSH/mmo/phy/whatever files :wallbash:

  4. Are you an honest person? I will be honest when I say I am not a very honest person. I'm not a compulsive liar; I'm usually truthful with my mum about things, just because she's my mum and I love her. But with anyone else, it's a pretty grey area. I will lie if it's for my own personal benefit or gain, or to protect myself from getting into any kind of trouble, or to get something I want. I will also be honest if it's for those same reasons. It all depends. But I will not lie about something if it does not affect me personally either way.

The reason I've shied away from honesty so much is because I've had all too many experiences in the past where attempting to be honest did not do me any good, and only made things worse, caused more trouble or problems for me. Like that time someone at school physically attacked me with a tire iron (apparently because they thought I called them a name or something, I don't know) and I attempted to fight back and protect myself from them. I tried to be nice and reasonable and truthful when explaining what happened to the vice principal... but guess who was the one who got kicked out of school for the incident? Oh Lord, I'm not even going to get started on that.

  5. ...Do you complete the main quests in? I know you can do them in any order you please, but I assume everyone must follow a certain routine out of pure habit...

Personally I almost always go save Redcliffe Village first, then go do the Broken Circle quest, go back to Redcliffe and save Connor, then do the Sacred Urn quest, go back to Redcliffe and save Eamon, then do the Paragon of Her Kind quest, then do the Nature of the Beast quest last.

It can vary sometimes but that's the standard order I do them. I've tried to break the habit of doing it that way and try to do them in a different order just to mix things up a bit, but it's extremely hard to do and so far I've failed...

  6. I was rather disappointed that there was no sex in Awakening, not even a brothel for our rambunctious young hero to stop off for some relief. Does anyone know if this will be remedied in DA2? (as in, will the PC be able to have sexual encounters and/or romances?)
  7. I still fail to understand why BioWare chose to make it so the PC's funeral takes place in the middle of a strangely deserted Redcliffe Village. :wallbash:

I really want to change this so the player's funeral cutscene takes place in a more appropriate place, like the Landsmeet chamber/throne room or something. But all I want to do is change the area but not anything about the cutscenes at all. I already know about editing areas and stuff, but I want to make sure the cutscene doesn't clash with the new area I'm placing it in.

Any advice? Is it possible to do this? I'd appreciate some tips on basic cutscene editing. :turned:

  8. EDIT: Nevermind, I figured out how to edit the tintmap to get it work right and now it's good as gold! ;D

But I still have the problem with the normal map... I did edit the map and erase/smugde out the imprint of the buckles but it's still showing them...

  9. Anyway I am really looking forward to DAO2 and seeing how she develops :)

Good luck with that as she probably will not even be in it aside from a possible cameo near Lothering

Yeah, have to agree with RB on this, and share the general disappointment at that. While Flemeth will have a (relatively) significant role in DA2, I've only heard one, totally unsubstantiated, rumour of Claudia Black being attached to DA2 at all, while we know that Kate Mulgrew is. That's a pretty good indicator of which characters might appear!

Personally, I'm thinking Morri and/or OGB might figure in a DA2 DLC someday, but that's the best we can hope for.

I feel your pain. I'm pissed that they're not even doing vague a continuation of the original story. And that our beloved hero and his/her amazing companions aren't even making a return... :(

  10. So I'm trying to retexture certain mage robes to make them look more practical, and like they would plausibly keep someone warm in Ferelden's cold climate. But so far I am experiencing failure.

Can anyone please tell me how to make it so the places where texture was added will re-color along with the rest of the outfit so I don't get an ugly patch that is still the default color? And how do I get rid of that 3D imprint of the buckles that are no longer there so it looks like a nice pair of pants??

  11. How do you script a character's inventory stuff so different equipment/armor/clothing is equipped at different times, for example, a templar's templar armor is equipped all other times, but then at one point you want his armor to come off and for him to be wearing some commoner clothing, but then for the armor to become re-equppied later?

I kinda want to make it so Shianni is nude when you find her in the Arl of Denerim's estate, but for her to be still be clothed before and after that...

  12. Actually, the codex says that the town of Lothering is part of the South Reach arling. Which doesn't make sense since Arl Bryland (South Reach's arl) always sides with the Warden at the landsmeet no matter what, meaning he must not have ever been on Loghain's side. I'm really confused, because if he was not on the bad guy's side, why would he bring his army north and abandon the poor, hapless Lothering?
  13. I still can't believe he isn't seen again after the Human Noble origin. And after the events of Ostagar I'm harshly told to just forget about him and give him up for dead.

But then he just randomly decides to come back in the last 5 goddamn minutes of the game to inherit my father's land and titles, even though he spent a whole freaking year assing around in the Wilds while I was busy saving the entire kingdom from an army of apocalyptic monsters. What an epic ripoff...

  14. I hope your right. I really want to find out what ends up happening to Lord Aeducan's second child... even if I won't get to play as or ever get to see my LA in DA2 (another thing I'm extremely unhappy about).
  15. I agree with just about everything, except what you said about Sigrun,

I think she's pretty cool. She's a tough woman but she has a good heart. A new headmorph to fix up her face a bit (most especially remove that awful makeup, which I feel is highly inappropriate for a soldier) makes her quite attractive alluring as a lady of valor and war.

@Lehcar; Hey now. I'm with Anders, I like Sigrun's tats! (Ok, he was speaking to Velanna, but the line always makes me think of Sigi...)

Don't you dare diss dwarven women! They're very loverly when done right....

    Damn straight! (See avatar)

But back on topic, I think Happy51 hit the mark. If you look at Awakening as, "You're the new Duncan", it makes a lot of sense. And dealing with the shortcomings of your companions just comes with "being the Warden Commander"! ;D

I was talking about just her makeup (esp the lipstick), not the tats :)

  16. Why is Zevran's sex scene with a male PC exactly identical to the one for a female PC? It looks a little not right.

Also, how come the thing with the dwarf noble PC happens so suddenly when they were so well loved and respected before?...
