  1. Are you kidding me?! I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE dwaaarfiess!!! <3<3 The women are adorable and there's just something about the men that makes them lovable too. Well, at least the nice ones who don't act like pompous jerks. Like the Warden. hee hee <3

The only thing I don't like is how so many people get treated like crap in dwarven society, and how everyone is constantly killing each other over the pettiest sh*t, and all the damn favouritism and crap... and, you know. Just about everything about dwarf society, I hate.

And I especially don't like how a dwarf Warden gets an extremely cold, and even downright nasty reception upon returning to Orzammar later in the game (regardless of whether you're a common or a royal dwarf, but naturally the common dwarf gets treated the worst.)

  2. How is it that Morrigan gets pregnant "naturally" if you sleep with her, even though Grey Wardens are supposed infertile because of the taint? And especially if the Warden is not human, because isn't it supposed to be extremely difficult for elves and dwarves to crossbreed with humans, even without the darkspawn taint inhibiting reproduction? Especially dwarves, since it's a well known fact that infertility is on the rise among their race. All of these factors make it so it would be next to impossible for a Warden to conceive a baby without the assistance of fertility drugs or something so umm... what the heck? How does Morrigan always get preggers if you do her, despite the odds being beyond astronomical?

Of course I'm talking about if you sleep with her at any point before the ritual near the end... the ritual is an exception since it's accomplished with the assistance of magic.

By the way, speaking of dwarves, why are Leliana and Bella the only ones who actually bend down on one knee in order to kiss a dwarf Warden? All other characters just seem to sort of come in at a weird angle for the smooching to happen. Why is this?

  3. Well, unfortunately (and its really pissing me off, cause I've tried it 6 times now!) my game decides to go and crash when the epilogues start up. However, if you do a search on yahoo or google, you can shift thru the thousands of posts, and find references where ppl have complained, or commented that Morrigan is still pregnant, despite not having completed the ritual.

    So.

But yeah, I do have to agree, that the vanilla morph they used for Mora wasn't all that. The makeup was horrible, and they did a poor job of shaping/sizing her eyes. And tbh, looks NOTHING like the RL model that they patterned (!?) her after. Tho the sacred ashes version is considerably better looking, IMO.

Myself, I think the only real screw up with Morrigan by BW was all the scenes and content that was CUT from the game regarding her. Which denies us a great deal of the stuff that the Actors know about her, that we don't. and doesnt give us the full insight as to why so many of them fell so in love with the ideal of her character.

Regardless... my opinion is that she'll be back in DA2. I've stated the reasons for that, on more than one occassion, so why do so yet again.

I totally agree with you about her appearance. Honestly, I wonder, "What the heck was the point of bringing in a real live model if the finished char looks absolutely nothing like her??" Aie. :ermm:

And I also totally agree with you about the cut scenes. I real wish they'd just left that stuff in there, would made things a lot better with her character development in the story.

But nonetheless, romancing her made for a very interesting story experience... even though her ditching of my char at the end was really spirit crushing. I just hope she'll be good to the little one.

  4. Either suffer a fate worse than death and have someone's soul get destroyed, or have you, your boyfriend, your friend, or the queen's father sleep with an impregnating creepy girl with a child that could grow up to be a danger to the whole world for all we know... horrid choice to make. http://thenexusforums.com/public/style_emoticons/Dark/down.gif

also I don't understand why guys are so attracted to Morrigan. frankly, I think her personality stinks and she's really ugly (in vanilla game anyway).

  5. Only thing that sucks about Dwarf Noble origin is that either failure or stupidity are your only options. Whether the Dwarf Noble PC is stupid enough to readily trust that Bhelen has no underhanded motive in "helping" them, or refuses to listen to what he tells them and plays the smart politician who decides to wait and see how things develop, Trian ends up dead, everyone sides and testifies falsely against them and the PC gets exiled into the Deep Roads. The 'everybody' includes a man you could have fought in an honorable fight in a Proving the day before, and even selflessly given the reward for his valor in battle... ouch.

That why I side with Harrowmont in the Orzammar quest later on when I play a Dwarf Noble just so I can get revenge and kill that power glutton snake Bhelen for utterly destroying my life. That son of a gun.

  6. I just want to find out what kind of creature Urthemial reborn will turn out to be, and if it will be benevolent or not... because the ending with Morrigan's "ritual" leaves the most interesting possibility for a sequel so they can't possibly leave that out, can they? I also really want to know WHY she had to run away into the wilderness with it, even if she was in love with the Warden...

I also really wonder what happens if the Warden slept with her at some point, but turned down her ritual, and yet survived at the end by allowing Alistair or Loghain to take the sacrifice. She ends up being pregnant anyway if that's how you do it... so I wonder, since she's left with a normal child that has nothing special about it, you refused to give her a god baby, what's she going to do with it then?

  7. Do you think the kid will end up become an insane monster or something? That's what I'm hoping.

Man, you really hate her don't you Lehcar?

I just think it would make a really good villain background story

  8. *gasp* OHMIGOSH I CAN'T BELIEVE I ACTUALLY FIXED IT!!!!!!!!! :biggrin::biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:

I have a working toolset again!

Went over hell and high water to get it working again tho... took a heck of a lot of fiddling around with settings and such

  9. Nevermind, I got everything to reinstall again, but now I'm still getting the "cannot connect to database" error again! I think the problem appears to be because the data files are missing... any idea how to get them back? Can I download them somewhere? How do I restore them?
  10. Damnit, I still can't install the SQL server thing, keep getting the error "SQL server service failed to start" and no matter how many times I click Retry it will not work
  11. So your choices for dwarf character are to be either at the very top of dwarf society, or at the very very bottom. For some reason I kind of find myself wishing for something in the middle... like, why couldn't I be one of the middle castes? I think Warrior caste would have been neat... or maybe a Miner or Smith caste dwarf who was taught how to wield weapons, and gets recruited into the Wardens by Duncan happening to walk by and witness them fighting someone or practicing their moves or something like that? That would have been cool.

And I actually get a warm welcome upon returning to Orzammar later in the game, and everyone still likes and respects me. (whether you're a Dwarf Noble or Dwarf Commoner, everyone still treats you like complete crap upon your return. Hate that...)

  12. Please have a look at this very short page on TVtropes so you know what I'm talking about: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/TheFogOfAges

We are clearly told this "Fog of Ages" thing affects golems, because they are immortal and their memory supposedly can only go back so far.

But, if this is so... how is it that the Paragon Caridin, who has stayed alive as a golem for over 1000 years (which is longer than most)... can still remember everything about his life when he was still a dwarf? How does he still remember who he was, and the names of people who lived and died aeons ago, and how does he still remember the events that led to his becoming a golem so clearly?

  13. I really hope so... but chronologically, when is DA2 going to take place? One years after Awakening? Two years? Five? Ten? Sixteen? Will Morrigan even still have any feelings left for my char by then?
  14. So uhm... WHY hasn't the Of Noble Birth quest been fixed yet? Why can't anyone de-bug this quest??

I'm SO disappointed that I can't complete it successfully, because if you do complete the quest Mardy comes to your funeral if your char dies at the end. But since it still registers as failed even if you did succeed and do everything right... it impossible

  15. I hope the devil child tears its way out of her rotten swamp-water filled uterus and kills her in the process. Or just ends up turning insane and killing her at some point. Hate that ugly, evil, black hearted b*tch.

I think her ending up dying at the hands of the Urthemiel reborn would be epic awesome story fodder.

But then again, why does the Warden HAVE to have sex with her? Why can't he just ejaculate into a cup and then give it to her to syringe into her swamp disease ridden vag*na so the Warden doesn't have to get his penis covered in her foul slime...
