    If you installed the mods with Vortex originally, this article may help: https://modding.wiki/en/vortex/users/migrating-to-a-new-pc If you install them manually or use any other tool, Vortex will not recognise them.

    It's probably something to post on my extension page rather than here as it isn't part of the core app. I have no idea why it wouldn't be working but I haven't looked at that extension in a long time.

    Once you place files in the game folder manually it ceases to be a "mod" anymore, it's just a bunch of files which Vortex has no idea how they got there. So it can't report those files accurately.

    Reinstall those mods - they were probably installed when Vortex installed everything relative to the root. Failing that, provide some specific examples of mods so I can check it on my end. I've just reinstalled the Starfield Community Patch and didn't have any issue.

    Yes, this is beta only. Seems a lot of users have opted into the beta without realising it. It's marked as solved to highlight the response from one of our Vortex devs. It's a known issue and we're looking at a fix, but it's important to let it finish the process. Interrupting it mid-way can corrupt your Vortex state which will more than likely cause problems going forward.

    It's come up a few times in a few different game communities. Probably the most recent/relevant example is in Skyrim VR. The new SKSEVR plugin that allows light plugins to be loaded includes a Game.pex script which is also provided by SKSEVR itself, causing a cross-modtype conflict.

    The user refers to the mod page pop-up that tells you you need at least Windows 10. They misunderstood that the "Download" button would proceed to download Vortex.

    This isn't likely to be caused by the update. It generally means something on your PC has corrupted the Vortex state. You can try downloading 1.9.12 from the Vortex download page, but if that doesn't work you may have to rename the %appdata%\Vortex folder to something else to stop Vortex trying to boot with bad data (this also completely resets the app).

    We can confirm that Cloudflare blocks users with Quest 2 and Quest 3 headsets from completing the captcha - they appear to have reverted their previous fix. We will feed this back to Cloudflare but this is beyond our power to fix directly.

    I don't know what to suggest. Did you try the Community Patch test I did in a previous post. If that works then it means the mods ARE loaded. Also, make 100% sure you're starting the game via SFSE_Loader.exe

    Can you provide a screenshot of what's on the screen when it's frozen (if possible)? Something in your setup is likely to be causing the problem but at which specific point it freezes is quite important. I would suggest installing .NET 6 and the C++ Redistributables as this covers a lot of these problems.

    The message does imply your INI files are broken. Have you tried deleting the INIs for the game and re-generating them?

    Sounds like your setup is really borked up. Do you have any third party antivirus apps? They can cause this kind of thing

    Can you provide a link to a specific mod you're having this problem with? At what point exactly does it freeze? What is the message on screen during the process? My guess from the limited info provided is you have a security app on your PC interfering with Vortex's installer.

    If you have nothing installed to Vortex yet. Delete the folder at %appdata%\Vortex to completely reset the app.

    Try completely deleting the SFSE and plugin enabler from Vortex, restart the app, and enable plugins (which prompts Vortex to install it again itself). If it still doesn't work you have something very odd in your setup.
