  1. AH1: What mods do you share in common with me?

     

    ShimoOkami: It worked before, but like I said, I got CTDs and T-Pose bugs. But again, that was SUPPOSEDLY caused by installing FNIS before PCEA.

     

    I don't know, I'm really stumped. I didn't even re-download PCEA or anything, I've been using the same zip file since forever(it's the most up to date one though). I downloaded the newest version of FNIS though, which was suppose to work BETTER with PCEA, but maybe ITS clashing with SkyRe somehow?

  2. First, I have to agree with the first reply. I think your text is hard to read. It's too big, green is not a good color for text IMO, and being centered instead of on the left side is no good. Then again, I realize this is just an opinion.

     

    I would like to know what you plan on doing with the textures. I think the Tropical Skyrim Overhaul looks like it does a great job of changing the look of the game. It not only changes textures, but flora models as well and maybe more. You should consider doing the same. I think that a creature replacement mod would be awesome. I think the Earth creatures (horses, wolves, bears, etc.) being replaced with something more creative could add a lot to the game.

    Well, I wanted it to look 'alien' , it was that or neon green. I suppose I could do purple or something. And I think it being centered makes it easier to read, but maybe I'm just weird. I just know the default grey on grey of this site hurts my eyes.

     

    And I intend on doing something like what tropical skyrim does, in fact it inspired me a lot. But I probably won't be quite as extensive. I would like to change the trees and bushes so they look more, well, alien. As for the monsters, I do intend to make a good bit of changes to them too, eventually, no changes to the meshes likely, but texture and maybe name changes. I intend to keep compatibly to a maximum so as not to mess with other mods that mess with load orders, or animal pelts/meat, etc.

     

    My current project is an ENB and lighting change though, I'll get to the texture changes after that. I may ask around for permission to use another ENB as a base, which would save a lot of time.

     

    The eventual 'plan' for the textures, is to make skyrim feel more.... uninviting? not quite 'scary', but I want things to be more threatening, foreign, and at the same time, totally beautiful. I already have some ideas I've been messing with involving giving glow maps to dragons, to make them feel more like gigantic alien monsters, then big pokey lizards. I also have some cool ideas with the dwarven stuff. When it comes to wolves and bears and such, I'm still scratching my head though.

     

    I don't have any specific 'order' I'm doing things in, so if I make a working texture for something, I'll release it as a demo as soon as it's playable! ^_^

  3. Does a mod exist that remove level restriction from deadthrall spell ?? real problem is whenever the player reaches high level those lower once hardly spwaned, so dead thrall won't work on them anymore.

    You should be able to change this yourself in the CK, just see if you can find the spell in question, and poke around on it? should be simple enough, if I'm correct, most spells have a 'level cap' type setting.

     

    But I'm not the best at the CK, so I could be wrong.

  4. Hey, I have to ask, do you mind if I try and include this (once it's released) in my 'more alien skyrim' compilation project? For the time being, I'll simply make it dependent, so they have to download your mod first.

     

    If not, I understand, your mods new and you may not want to let other people play with it. XD

  5. I am using WATER 1.6 and what you talk about is the ugrids to load.

     

    Sadly i can not set higer than 7.

     

    To put it simpley. Skyrim has 3,2 GB memory it can use at max while still being stable.

    And this limits how much you can actually do with skyrim.

    You only get a certain ammount of mods u can use before skyrim reaches this limit. (this dos not include addon mods only graphical)

    And with 5760x1080 resolution, my handpicked custom texture pack(4k), enb series + the other lighting mods I have reached that limit.

    Leaving ugrid 7 the max i can do. If i try with 9 the game tries to use more than 3,2 and the game wont load at all.

     

     

    I thought the cap was 4g? I have 16g of memory to, so I feel your pain, 12 gigs just sitting there, unused..

     

    and I never got the multi monitor thing, but then again, I sit like, 6 inches from my monitor, and it's like 2 foot wide.

     

    I'll see if I can track down the mod I used, I know there is a good mod out there to replace the waterfalls, cause I have it. Other then that, water is about the best there is sadly. (not saying water isn't great)

    Sorry, I have a very defense personality....

     

    The sites I use to spend a lot of my time on people where very mean to me for my... life choices? (yeah I know, boo-hoo, the internet was mean to me) That, and I have a very sarcastic-funny type of attitude, and what is meant mostly as a joke just comes off making me look like an a**hole over the internet.

     

    You would think I would learn sarcasm doesn't work on the internet, but whatever.

     

    EDIT: There, I edited away my rude comments. No need to leave them up and make me look bad because I was in a fool mood. I've been up all night, and have a good working version of the demo of this mod out now, so I am in a much better mood. ^_^

  7. AFT use is own animation may be the conflict come from this mod

    ASX too, for EX AP isn't working at all with PCEA

    in fact i didn't find that PCEA works good with anything at last even you run FNIS, always glitch and ctd's, so i del the folder and evering was fine, no more Tpose or ctd

    Hmm, AFT is something pretty recent I installed, I'll look into it. I've had ASX for a while, I have to do the load-a-vanilla-then-custom-race work around, but it works.

     

    Also, try installing PCEA FIRST then FNIS, this fixes the CTD and T-Pose glitches for most people. I fixed those issues, but something else is now conflicting with PCEA, making it not work. I'm assuming it's SkyRe races. I'll get around to deactivating it and see if that makes PCEA work.

    I actually think it would be kinda neat. ALl you would really need is animated bolts with sound effects. Tag it so they produce tons of blood, and/or keep doing damage after they hit. You would need one of the 'blood overhauls' to make it look really good though! ;P

I know there is a setting you can change so that more 'cells' are loaded around you, I think by default it's set to something like 3 or 5, and you can set it up to 9-11, but it creates pretty bad lag on lesser computers (I tried putting mine at 7 once and it worked, and my computers less powerful then yours.) I know it makes ALL save files using another setting of this invalid. I can not remember the ini setting itself though, sadly. I'm sure someone else will know though.

     

    other then that, look into mods like 'WATER' I don't know exactly what mod I used to do it (I have like 200 installed alltogether) but all my waterfalls and water look simply amazing even really far off. I had a similar "flip the table" moment with waterfalls a while back and how ugly they looked in my pretty game.

     

    Try searching the phrase "LOD" and you might find a good mod, it's what I did.

  10. What do you mean when you say SkyRe has worked before? Do you mean it used to work with PCEA? Also, I'm not too familliar with BOSS since I don't use it myself, but this does seem like something that BOSS should be able to detect.

     

    You should be able to make these mods compatible by either changing the animation paths for the SkyRe races to use the PCEA folders or editing the PCEA races to include the changes made by SkyRe. I'm not sure if this would actually work since you're getting CTDs when PCEA is loaded after SkyRe. I might have to take a closer look at these mods tomorrow, or rather, later today since it's 2AM right now.

    Yes that's what I meant. Before I did the reinstall, PCEA was working great, minus the CTDs. I tried to fix the CTDs and started having the T-Pose glitch.

     

    I'll look into editing SkyRe Races, I'm not about to edit 11 different ESPs. xP

     

    BOSS and TES5EDIT normally report an error or conflict if there is one (TES5EDIT normally gets missing esps/esms, etc) and both of them come back squeaky clean.

  11. I've fixed the black grid in the sky! thank you photoshop and your miracle one click tools! Bwahahaha!<br /><br />EDIT: I have a DEMO ready! This just makes some changes to the sky, that's about it.<br /><br />Already have one d/l and 100 views on the demo! woot!
  12. PCEA is incompatible with anything that edits the vanilla races, so it won't work with SkyRe unless you fix this in the CK.

    But I've ALWAYS had SkyRe and it's worked before? Also, BOSS doesn't list them as incompatible?

     

    How would I go about changing it? I would think I could just disabled SkyRe Races, but I want to keep the changes it makes.

     

    Also, moving SkyRe races to ABOVE PCEA just makes me CTD on load every time.

  13. PLEASE IGNORE THE OTHER THREADS I POSTED IN THE TROUBLESHOOTING FORUM! They really need to let me edit my post title so I don't have to keep making new ones for slightly different issues...

     

    Anyways, I was having really bad CTD and T-Pose issues with PCEA, I was informed to uninstall it and FNIS, and install PCEA first, THEN FNIS. I did this, then re-ran BOSS, and the FNIS tool. The result fixed all the issues I was having!

     

    BUT - Now PCEA simply doesn't work. All characters in the game now have my animations.

     

    Is this a Load Order problem? I ran it through BOSS, but maybe it's something BOSS missed? Maybe I'm putting the animations in the wrong place? The only thing I can think of, is moving "SkyRe Races" ABOVE the PCEA mods,. but I know SkyRe is finicky as hell, and I'm scared to do that. x_x

  14. i would assume the cdt's you are getting are from a or several mod conflicts this would often happen to me. if you have lots of animation mods installed chances are two of them are incompatible and are causing the cdt's. look closely in the description of the mod most of them have a list of incompatible mods that must be completely uninstalled for them to work. or you have no got the required patch for the mod to work (skyrim patch version 1.9 is in beta and i suggest you download it ASAP if you already haven't) as for you're character and the sarthal thing i have no idea

    Boss checks for this, and I do thorough checks myself, it's not a simple "incompatibility issue". From what Iv'e been checking, it's related to PCEA and FNIS though, it seems that people are reporting CTDs if they install FNIS first (which FNIS is SUPPOSE to be installed first)

     

    With nearly 150 mods, the fact that I can track down my CTDs at all is a miracle.
