  1. Try the Mudcrab dealer, failing that, just store it, I've noticed there are at least 4 categories of items in Oblivion that though you can buy them (if you've enough money) the shopkeeper can't by them back, these are: Adamantium Armour.Ebony Armour and weapons.Glass Armour and weapons, andDeadric Armour and weapons. The best thing I can suggest is to store them if possible, or if you have more than you need try to dispose of them - say in a tomb or such place. I have a great stack of Ebony Armour and weapons, Deadric Armour and weapons and glass armour and weapons; all this is over and above the stock of armour I need! You can either put it into the may barrels and crates lying about (don't let the guards see you do this) or even leave it in an empty building or on some spare ground, no-one will bother about it.
  2. I use Windows 7 Professional, 64 bit, and am having no trouble whatsoever. Could it be that MGE is the cause of this problem, not the fact that the user has changed to run as system administrator. That should not be a cause, as I am both system administrator and the sole user. There is a way that this problem could be bypassed however. I use 3 separate hard drives. C drive is purely for the O/S and the various drivers, and of course for some programmes that absolutely need to be on C drive, such as Java and Python. D drive is exclusively for other programmes - games, and programme files and other associated programmes. E drive is just for my personal data, such as Microsoft Office files and the like, as well as copies of my downloads.
  3. Simple really, all you need to do is create a new folder, either on the same drive of a different drive (I call mine "Games"), when you load the game, use the option to let you put in a different place. The result of this is that pesky UAC coesn't get involved, and you can still play Morrowind as normal. There's just one thing, to create a new folder you must have administrator privileges orknow the administrator.
  4. I use Windows 7 Professional 64 bit, and with a dual core CPU. I've had no problems running Morrowind. However, it may be something to do with the CPU speed, RAM seems to OK, can you update you laptop CPU wit a faster one?
  5. You don't say if it's Oblivion, Morrowind or what. However I do know that some mods are dependant on other applications, such as OBSE (or the Morrowind equivalent) OBMM and some even need Java! the best thing you can do at the moment is to look at THE REQUIREMENTS for that mod, it may be it needs on, or even all three.
  6. To be honest, I don't know what mod you're trying to load, but from that list of errors there seem to e a lot of missing meshes and a few missing textures. There are a couple of things you can do here, and also a suggestion: Don't try to load the mod until you have verified all is well - if you have already loaded it, then make use of the suggestion below.Contact the authors of that site and explain the problem - it may be a fault at their end! Suggestion Get TESfiles v3.06; you can use this to remove any faulty mod from your system. Also if you have saved the mod somewhere, you may want to delete it until you can get the proper mod.
  7. Hi Cadazz I Had a similar problem with The Morrowind Patch Project V1.6.5 Beta, I had a game freeze as well, All I can suggest is either ONLY use the original Morrowind/Tribunal/Bloodmoon with the official patches (it shouldn't need any), or get the Morrowind GOTY which already has all the necessary patches. It seems to me that you problem is caused by that The Morrowind Patch Project V1.6.5 Beta,so it's best to remove it pronto. I'm running the GOTY, and have completed nearly all the quests on it - including some that aren't even mentioned!
  8. No trouble, that's what these forums are for. Try here that's where I got mine from, one tip hough; look at the new and used section and get a new disk (it's usually a lot cheaper than the normal version and it's also brand new)!
  9. No trouble, I know where you're coming from as it's happened to me! Try here t hat's where I got mine from, look in the "new and used and get a new one - it's cheaper than the normal price!
  10. No trouble, I know where you're coming from, sinces it's happened to me! Try here,
  11. It could be that the problem is the disk, if it's been burned from a retail disk, you may well get that problem. It seems to start OK then immediately you try to play it you end up with a CTD. The problem is that thee is a sort of security device on the retail disks, so it's almost impossible to copy them (not totally impossible though) I would recommend buying a new retail game - they're cheap enough, in fact do as I have and get the Morrowind GOTY, that has both of the expansions as well as other things and automatically patches itself.
  12. Just look in the Fallout forum on TESNexus, you'll find system quite easy, and of course you CAN stert your own thread there - however, just one thing, it may well be wise to search for what you're looking for as someone else may have already asked the same question, and the answer to that may be what you wnat.
  13. I don't have McAfee on my system, I use a different anti-virus system. However it does look like this is possibly a scam, where do you normally update McAfee from? As a general rule, I find it useful to update my anti-virus daily, but then I use it on a daily basis.
  14. Thanks, yes I have it, but the nifs in Morrowind seem to be different. Anyway, thanks again, I'll set it up now.
  15. I was wondering, will the version of NifSkope I have for Oblivion work with Morrowind, and if not where can I get a version that works?
  16. I understand your ideas, however, as this has to be an opeen book, it makes sense to have it all in one book. What i do intend to do though is to make an index at the beginning of the book, breaking down into the types of splles used, and the page number it starts at. The reason it has to be an open book is it is to be placed on a lecturn in the alchemy lab. Yes I could make several closed books, but then how would you access them?
  17. Thanks guys, just the sort of information I needed.
  18. This is a bit of a puzzler. What I want to do is to enchant some glass armour, partly to keep weight down and partly to get the enchantment I need. Does anyone know a way I can get "Constant Effect" enchantments? I've tried enchanting other items, but even with the strongest soul-gem (at present Grand Soul Gem) I can only get around 30 - 40 seconds duration, so I would be grateful if anyone can help.
  19. To MadMike710 I can see you point, however there is some things that makes Morrowind stand out. The actual game-play in terms of quests - far more than Oblivion. It is a truly "Open-ended" RPG, in fact at the moment I have 11 sets of quests available, not counting the Thieves Guild, The Camonna Tong or the Dark Brotherhood! add to that i've already finished one set!Whilst I do agree that the graphics are NOT the best going, you have to remember this was Bethesda's first foray into the Windows systems - the previous Elder Scrolls were all made on DOS (Disk Operating System), so please excuse them for not getting things right at fist.I bought Morrowind just after it was released, and bought the expansions as they were released (of course I downloaded the various patches as well). However I have played Oblivion and although I like the graphics on it, that's not all there is too it.Remember, many things in Oblivion are referred to, such as the Neverarine, and other things too numerous to mention here. Suffice to say that Morrowind provides quite lot of background information to Oblivion! My advice is to get a Morrowind GOTY, play that - then play Oblivion.
  20. With respect to posters, my position is this: OK, Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind (ant the two seperate additions now ccombined in the GOTY versiona) was noty too great on graphics - and some of the NPC 's arem't what what they were supposeded to be, but reember, this was Bethesesda's first crack at a Windows game, all the others had been DOS fgames. I i know that Oblvion has got better graphics, but remember this, it is not only a later game, but there there is a lost of "back-stoyy" or "behind-the-scenes" informatinon in Morrowind that when you play Oblivion, you are constantly comeig up against something that is explaiined in Morrowind! In other wordI buy it. Whist I agre that the graphics aren't the best, they werew getting there! You have to remember this was thier first foray into Winows - all the provious ones were made on DAS (Disk Operating System), and the graphics were even worse on those! My adivice is to buy the GOTY; load all three games AND the Construction Set just in case you want to make a mod or two). Theyr'e not expensive if you know where to too look, I got mine from Amozon.o.uk
  21. Thanks Mr Hammond Yes there is indeed a section in Wiki for Morrowind, it's on the same page as the Oblivion data, but a bit farther down. Unfortunately it only gives a list of the various books available, not the formatting or colours. Whist these are OK, and do give some information, as you say there are no images to give a little help of what he/she is talking about. The main problem is that some of the items (it's a book of potion recipes by the way) will need sometimes two different colours at the end , the basic text being black. So on any line you could have several different colours. I do see you point about looking at other books for the various formats, but unfortunately there are only a few that seem to give the length I think I'll need, and since it is to be an open book, there are even fewer, though i was interested in on comment in the Silgrad Tutorial, namely that if the weight of the book is increased, it will be able to contain more text!. I have managed to find an RGB hex and triplet set on Google, but I don't really want to put colours in that the system won't handle.
  22. I understand your meaning, but to be honest, this volume has to have several DIFFERENT TEXT COLOURS, it will also need an index. In fact I am intending to write TWO books, the long one will be on a lecturn, whilst the other - thankfully very short - will sit on the shelf nearby. As you will see images are NOT an option, since I have often several (3 or more) text colours on the same lin! I realise that Morrowind uses an abbreviated form of HTML, but there are four issues here: I don't know what that abbreviated HTML is.I also don't know the text colours that Morrowind will accept.Do I need to use the </font> at the end of a text colour? As I will be using Magic Cards 3 throughout, can I set I set that at the beginning of the text, so that it will continue all the way?
  23. By the way, you may want to remeber that in Oblivion anti-alising doesn't work either.
  24. I seem to have sold a propylon index that I need, As you some items tend to "disappear" after a while, so just in case, could anyone please give me the cheat codes for the various indexes. The set of cheat codes I have are only about half complete, so I would be extremely obliged if the necessary codes could be found.
