  1. Yeah I'm pretty sure the past/present/future theory was behind the Singularity scene in Interstellar where Matt McConaughey saw his daughter. Brilliant movie btw. Edit: one aspect of the Daily Mail article I don't agree with is that laws of physics wiould be the same in a mirror Universe. I err on the side that theorises laws perse don't exist since the laws are created randomly at the beginning. In other words what applies to one Universe may not in another. That's part of the multiverse thing. Haha...that's optimism for ya.... we will eventually understand time and uncover the secret of the universe. lol Then the universe will change all the questions. Either that, or it will simply end. :D
  2. They can't regulate it, or prevent violence. It IS going to happen. When the immigrants were in the minority, they were controlled simply be being a minority. With the influx of millions of new immigrants from the destabilized middle east, they are going to become significant.... and be able to alter the course of elections, and such. Then it will be THEIR culture that starts subsuming the existing culture...... And from that, you just get more violence..... It will be interesting to watch, but, sure glad I don't live there.
  3. And the Russians and Chinese are already pushing the envelope with their fly-by's, and 'intercepts'...... China at least suspects that they can get away with quite a bit, as a significant percentage of american manufacturing is now IN China, or, territory they control. (or could control, in very short order) We have some financial ties to Russia, but NOTHING like we have with China. Granted, China does a fair bit of trade with the US, but, they actually do more with Europe. Losing the american market would hurt, but, it would be recoverable. Depending, of course, on how the war went...... Might become a non-issue.... (no one left to trade, or trade with....) Russians don't really have that ace-in-the-hole...... War with Russia would be just that. War. If we could avoid the use of nukes, it would look a lot like WWII.
  4. Not what I said. Special interests. You know, like the MANY large corporations that have huge staffs of lobbyists. Or the enviro-nazis, etc.
  5. Exactly. A rich white guy that isn't beholden to ANY special interest group for campaign money. He can piss off anyone he cares to, and doesn't have to worry about campaign funding. He paid for it himself.
  6. Actually, I think Washington DC could use a bit of a shakeup, and The Donald will most certainly provide that. (assuming he isn't assassinated...... :) )
  7. Trouble is, the average gamer is in his/her twenties...... So, appealing to the 'teenage boys' is only a... well, not 'small', but, not 'large' either, percentage of their audience. Me? I am 55, and still love playin' vid games. I don't care about romance in games at all. It's an aspect of role playing I have no desire to indulge in. I just wanna kill stuff. :D (only kind of kidding there..... a good story makes up for a lot of failings in vid games. One of the reasons I liked Morrowind so much.)
  8. Honestly, most people in the US feel the same way about Europe that Europeans feel about the USA. Neither side wants to be in the others position. Neither side likes the others politics. So there is a pretty huge disconnect culturally, and politically between Europe and the USA. Maybe not oil and water, but pretty close. I don't know enough about Europeans to really pinpoint exactly what the core of these differences are, but I can make a simple observation about it acknowledging that a disconnect exists. The political movements in Europe who are trying to curve or stop the influx of refugees are the only ones who make sense to me personally. This 'refugee crisis' is very much caused by US foreign policy, and warmongering. The governors of most States in the USA have refused to take refugees from Syria and the surrounding region. I don't think its fair that Europe has to shoulder the burden, and more Europeans should be asking the same thing. This whole "EU" thing is a foreign idea to me as well. I don't really see a benefit of a Nation like Britain, Germany, or France being a part of something like the EU when any of those countries could stand stronger on their own without an overhead of unelected EU bureaucrats, some might say oligarchs, breathing down their necks. So a party like the UKIP in Britain or a Front National in France would be the closest thing to a political party that I would support that I've seen in Europe. Labor parties are the US equivalent of radical leftists. They're even farther to the left than our Democratic Party. Even parties that aren't as far to the left as labor are still too far to the left for me. The USA hasn't had a viable Nationalist/Populist candidate for president for a very long time. The neoconservative movement has typically had everything locked up tightly for a few decades now. And Trump has effectively defeated them. Its not really surprising that they were defeated, and the only reason neocons have had as much power and influence as they do is from the donor class in America funding them. Which pushed them ahead simply due to having more money and resources rather than having better ideas than the next guy. Trump is a viable alternative, and he doesn't need money from the donor class in America who likes pushing traditional war hawk policies like "spreading freedom and democracy" with military force. Overlooking Trump's rhetoric, because I'm not an emotionally driven reactionary, the policies he's supporting would be an improvement over what we've traditionally had for a long time now. If this was some other election cycle, Trump probably wouldn't have a chance at getting elected. But the left appears to be even more divided between more traditional American leftist policies (Clinton) and more aggressive Socialist policies (Sanders). Clinton is going to be the nominee, unless she ends up being indicted (Obama would pardon her if it came down to it). A lot of Sanders supporters are just gonna stay home, and a few might even vote for Trump in protest. I hate neoconservatism so much, that I'd just assume vote for Bernie Sanders over someone like a Mitt Romney or Jeb Bush, or Ted Cruz and I'm thinking maybe there are some on the left who feel the same way about Clinton. Sums up my feelings on the whole situation quite nicely. Thank You. :D
  9. It's because of all the political BS going on here, that Trump stands a good chance of winning.

  11. http://i66.tinypic.com/2rp7ka9.jpg And Elephants love to eat peanuts Myth. Elephants certainly don’t eat peanuts in the wild, and they’re not a typical diet for captive animals either. Elephants are the world’s biggest land animals and have to spend 16 to 18 hours a day eating. Peanuts, on the other hand, are tiny. True enough, but, I have never had an elephant refuse to eat them when offered. :D
  12. +There is a huge difference between the orogressive movement and what is going on on the left today. The difference is that progressive work for slow and stead change in society, which I agree with. What passes fro preogress today is a level of intolerance and argance that rivals many of the exploits of the most sanctimonious charletons of the last century. People are shouted down and are targetted for their veiws, even if they are working for the same causes. The bullwork of public debait which is freedom of speech is virtually unknown to these people who are growing up today and have no idea how much it is needed because the public has not had enough of their crap. Once the exploits of these petty tyrants reach a intolerable level they will quickly learn just how those they have targetted for so long have felt . It won't surprize me if a Trump victory will herald in the beginning of the end of this chapter in social reform. And if it does, it will fully make up for any other stupidity he perpetrates. :) Well, aside from getting us into yet another war......
  13. If one of your friends calls you an elephant. Don't worry about it. If two of your friends calls you an elephant, you might want to be concerned. If three of your friends calls you an elephant, buy a bag of peanuts. The 'progressives' want to force everyone to be open minded about everything. We should 'accept' people for who they are, regardless of how we actually feel about them, or, what our morals dictate. We have a small group of folks, that exhibit a behavior that really isn't considered 'socially acceptable' as yet, even though the politicians (some of them) are forcing us to accept it, whose rights are apparently more important than the majority. I have never really understood that.
  14. And of course, the criminals NEVER carry weapons in the park either. Heaven forbid a child should see them........ Other than that tidbit, I agree with you. :D
  15. I would bet real money that particular excuse came up when someone higher up the food chain at Blizzard asked why it was removed. :) (after it had been removed because one guy whined..... I mean, they certainly couldn't admit THAT, now could they? :D)
  16. When you copied over the stuff, did it go to the right place? Don't have a Data Files folder in your Data Files folder do you?
  17. Well, it all depends on how you define "available".......... :D
  18. I am having pretty much the same issue, but, am still at 1.4. (I leave steam offline....... until new patches have been proven reliable.....) Game and O/S also installed on SSD's. I run maybe a dozen mods. What I have noticed is that there is little to no hard drive activity for quite some time, then, it gets busy, and a few seconds later, the game loads. No clue what's up there.
  19. I don't think it officially releases until tomorrow?? (the 19th)
  20. Ah, so you are just playing semantics. I get it. And no, it would take more than just one of the major players to make it stop. Even if Assad resigned right this minute, the 'conflict' would continue. So, we have a variety of US backed "rebels", fighting against Russia backed Assad regime, in a conflict involve lots of guys with guns, artillery, and even aircraft.... Ya know, that sounds an awful lot like a "war" to me...... Yeah, that would be semantics, and also would be useless to argue on individual understanding of what "war" implies, so yeah, whatever, let's call it war. On the other notes, I have little idea of how they gonna keep this "war" up by themselves, probably with sticks and stones? Since they obviously are supplied with weapons from both US and RF sides in full, and if supplies cut then what? Winning wars isn't the idea after WW2 as far as I can judge, conflicts are lucrative, both for local warlords, who have power, and foreign military corps, and longer they last, more income they get. Regarding Assad, I have no idea what this guy is doing there and what he's hoping for? Since ground operations are commited mostly by Iranian forces with Russian airforce support, so considering more than half of territory lies in ruins and big part of population is spread from Turkey to Europe, I have no idea what will happen if conflict suddenly stops, this country will be torn apart in a blink I guess, and I doubt Assad can pull it together anyhow. Oh, I will most certainly agree that if Trump wins, it's gonna be interesting to see what happens. I suspect we are going to that opportunity as well. I don't see either the US, or, the RF cutting off war material supplies any time soon, as you say, too many folks making to much money to stop now...... But, the country is pretty much a write off at this point. Along with areas of Iraq as well. What a waste. Thousand and more years of history destroyed. Bummer.
  21. I usually just wander thru the presets, and pick one that I like. I haven't used body replacers/prettification mods since Morrowind. (as the bodies were REALLY bad.....)
  22. I have a friend who feels the same way as you do, but speaking for myself, playing (or rather running) female characters is not so much about immersion as "having the full package" when it comes to RPG video gaming. For example; I like FO4 cuz I like monsters, mutants, robots, exploration, action & adventure and Hot Chicks with Big Guns (both kinds...) so running a female character gives me everything I want during play. Female companions? Great - that means even more Hot Chicks with Big Guns! My settlements tend be dominated by Hot Chicks and Robots, with males being in the miniority (how's that for social engineering). When I play my games, I want everything I like... and I like science fiction, fantasy, horror and Hot Chicks. So, tell us how you really feel about hot chicks. :D Yeah, I play as female sometimes just to see if anything is different.
  23. Ah, so you are just playing semantics. I get it. And no, it would take more than just one of the major players to make it stop. 24. There's a sentiment I can certainly agree with. :)
  25. Hm, that might be a matter of perspective, but I don't see any "wars" going on right there. Regarding Ukraine, that was pretty much simple tradeoff, mr. Putin is craving for political rating points (or rather his image makers) for upcoming elections and he wanted Crimea for it stat, quickly and bloodless, so he traded entire western Ukraine for this, instigated conflict and now making money in this plus having, ahem, trump card as Crimea in his sleeve improving his rating. Same happens in Syria, such conflicts are always very good for business, US securing their part of resourses and RF theirs, plus one of last military bases on Middle East they have left. To be perfectly clear, mr. Putin is acting more like gas and oil companies top manager than real president, all his team is caring about are incomes from these sources and internal policy is non-existent in this contry, everything else is in stagnation and total degradation. Regarding this flyby, I seriously don't see what all the fuss is about, it's definitely wasn't intended as military act or middle-finger-something, feels like both sides had their share of fun judging by the video. You see, when military is threatened, they won't take out their cameras and comment "hostile" actions like they did. Feels more like guys were bored, both pilot and dudes on carrier, why not have a little show? Public and media take on this doesn't make any sense really. And regarding mr. Trump again, gotta agree with Vagrant0 here, it seems pretty much like political rethoric and nothing more, still, the point is: IF he becomes the president, drastic changes won't happen, if any at all... You don't see the war in Syria? Seriously? What do you call it then?
