  1. Have you tried using fallrim tools on your save game??? I wonder if it isn't mods, so much as corruption of your save.
  2. I hate companions. I only use them when absolutely forced to do so by the game. I don't even take Dogmeat with me to Concord.... They have a nasty habit of getting in my way, or alerting enemies to my presence, LONG before I want them to know I am there. I play a stealth-based character, and tend to take out most enemies at a significant distance..... so it is generally pretty easy for ME to shoot, move, hide, lather, rinse, repeat, and clear areas, and the occupants don't even get a decent shot at me. Companions, even dogmeat, change all that... as as soon as I fire the first shot, they are running off to engage...... and giving away our position. I am frequently tempted to shoot them MYSELF. :D
  3. Interesting, i know plenty of females with double if not tripple d's that want larger tits, and technically anyone who goes around in "skimpy" wear today, is doing pretty much EXACTLY what you JUST said you wouldnt. If you EVER wear skimpy stuff then you have become a liar, since ANYWHERE you go, there is at least 5 rapists in every SMALL town, and weve dropped enough nukes, along side using nuclear power for so long, were kinda swimming in radiation. Your point is kinda invalid now as to it breaking immersion in the slightest since everything you said is wrong, is kinda right in todays society, while YOU may not like that kind of stuff, it happens irl making it pretty realistic. On top of that, its unrealistic that there is still the amount of radiation in the "glowing sea" for the fact that the 2 nukes we dropped on japan around 60-70ish years ago, are again liveable while the glowing sea isnt to anyone who wasnt "blessed by atom". This game takes place 100-200 years after the bombs dropped meaning its almost double or even quadruple the amount of years and still has the radiation equal to a little after the damn thing exploded. This game as a whole, doesnt follow a realistic path, so equaiting it to real life isnt smart at ALL. Wow. You dredged this one up from the depths, to hand out a comparison of FO4 to Today's world??? Seriously? Yes, there are likely rapists in every town. However, there are NOT organized gangs of them wandering EVERYWHERE, nor is radiation much of a concern for us today. (aside from sunburn.) We also have some semblance of law enforcement. Something that is distinctly lacking in the FO4 world. Sure, we DO have gangs, and they DO commit crimes, however, they do NOT freely wander wherever they care to go in the cities, they are restricted to specific areas. I live in what I consider a small town, and I could wander around in a crop top, and short skirt, pretty much anywhere, at any time, and not have to worry about rapists. (of course, I am male, so they would just kinda look at me funny in any event, and figure I am somewhat less than sane......) Of course, citizens/bad guys in this day and age, aren't nearly as well-armed as those in FO4 world either. :D Now, I DO agree that the radiation hazard in FO4 is dramatically overblown. After 200 years, it would be MUCH less of an issue than it is portrayed in the game. Except the barrels of waste you find just about everywhere, those would still be problematic. Something else to consider though, is that after 200 plus years, Boston would be indistinguishable from a primeval forest. NONE of the building would still be standing. There *might* be some remnants of the framing sticking above ground level, but, aside from that, they would ALL be GONE. Nature would have taken back any area that wasn't being actively maintained. So, there might be a few small areas where there are still buildings standing, but, for the most part, it would look a lot like wandering thru a national park. :D
  4. Go back and report the problem to Neloth.
  5. Now that IS weird. :) Are you using a mod manager? If so, which one?
  6. The limit isn't the number of ESL files.... it's the number of items those files add. So, merging them doesn't make any difference at all, there is still the same number of items, whether there is one plugin, or 12. I have no idea how many available ID's there are though...... That question is above my pay grade. :D
  7. I want to be able to beat the crap out of Braith, and then, for a while, when she sees me, she runs off crying, and hollering "Please don't hurt me." Mouthy little so-and-so. Would what be REALLY cool though, is, after a while of running from me, she would eventually cautiously approach, and apologize for being such a brat. :D
  8. It's probably doable, but, I would expect a lot of response to be along the lines of: "What?", "I don't understand.", "Are you crazy?", "I am not going to tell you that." Etc......
  9. There are a LOT of things I would like to say to some of the NPC's in my games. Several of them would be consider quite Rude. :D The problem is, coming up with an appropriate response from the NPC...... When you open up the field to anything..... it becomes rather unwieldy. :D
  10. There IS a hard limit on how many esl files can load as well. The way they work, they assign IDs to *stuff* that were unused in the Fallout.esm file. There are only so many, and if you go beyond that number, strange things start happening.
  11. I used NMM for the longest time, and it never really caused me any issues. For my latest installations, I am using Vortex, and while I am not as familiar with the layout, it does indeed work pretty well. It also makes removing mods much easier, and makes sure that EVERYTHING from said mod gets removed. So far, it hasn't caused me any issues at all. (I use it for both Skyrim LE, and FO4.)
  12. Its a free for all. Best bet is, read the comments before downloading/updating. There are FAR too many mods here for staff to test each and every one, and the number of possible permutations of load lists makes it impossible to predict what mod interactions might do. Or not do, as the case may be. Best be it to post in the mods comments thread, or bugs section, if it is used..... and report your problems there.
  13. so you are, genuinely that thick? wow. does it hurt? Being thick would imply I am insulated from pain ... no ? But what am I being thick about ? Is it the unifying power of most people viewing Putin as Hitler to hopefully ensure people are on the same page with what to do about it ? Which I can see ... but thinking beyond what that could produce ... looks more like a dangerous group think state to be in imo . Missing key nuances that could help sort out better solutions ... whatever they may be ??? That can possibly get missed by dealing with Putin as a Hitler stand in . Which sort of asks the question ... Is that motivated by the emotional charge produced from pouring over the history of Hitler and there was no closure for society so to speak ? But I am in no way saying to let Putin off the hook , just asking why do we need the Hitler boogey man to define him ? Also he is using the guise of freeing peoples of Ukraine from white supremacist groups . I guess implying Ukraine is run by them ? Which sounds like a script flip attempt to me ... tapping into the recent one here in the USA ( err at least I only noticed it the last few years) That the democrats and liberal thinking of today ... is one in the same and responsible for the white supremacist ideology pre & post civil war. How much traction that idea actually has among real people here in the USA ... hard to say ? But I think what is pretty far spread among right wing America ... is the idea of the left being the current fascists , and not to believe anything in the media from a left wing perspective. So IMHO ... getting everybody on the same page about Putin with a historical Hitler view point ... not so easy , and maybe dangerous . Would you say that would be more dangerous than ignoring him, and letting him run roughshod over Ukraine? Possibly encouraging him to press even further? Back in the late 30's, no one wanted to go to war either. So, 'diplomatic' solutions were proposed, implemented, and and eventually, led to Germany taking over most of Europe..... Do you want to see Putin do the same in former Soviet countries?? Why would you assume I am advocating to ignore the situation ? And question back at ya ... Are you implying the only solution is through scaring everybody with the Hitler boogeyman ? But if we are going to view the decisions back then to avoid war and when they gave in to Hitler as wholly ill-conceived. Remember the constrictions put on Germany post WW 1 coupled with the great depression devastated them economically. Which of course the League of nations could see happened ... thereby they could be thinking ... Gee maybe we were to harsh , so lets give them some leeway ... especially because we aren't going to cough up the aid they need. And also the last world war was so fresh in their memory. Which was a big stale mate with the trench warfare. So I'm sure that scenario was on their minds for what a new one would entail. Obviously France thought that with their investment in the Maginot line , and how they fell to Blitzkrieg. Invading Russia might be the answer ... but I would hope we would do it with clear vision , and not jaded by past grievances . Unless it's a case of ... Ya ya we see that ... but the state of the world is worse than you think , and the only way to get anything done is in a nice tidy box for everybody to think about ? Which I can see ... if something doesn't get sorted out by next election time here in the US , and we are still in the same holding pattern so to speak. I'm sure tRump or tRumplicans will use it as a saber rattle moment to get some votes. Well, the idea is, if we DON'T do something...... then we are simply going to be repeating history. And we see how that turned out the last time. Of course, I fully expect things to go pretty much the same way this time...... I would not be at all surprised to see the rest of the world let Putin get away with 'annexing' Ukraine..... everyone is too terrified of the prospect of nuclear war..... Which we may get to anyway, if things continue to go badly for Russia in Ukraine..... No one wants WWIII, that would really and truly suck.... Putting it mildly.... That said, yeah, I am quite sure the republicans will use whatever happens in Ukraine against Biden, that, and the price of gas...... But, I would sincerely hope the republican party isn't stupid enough to run Trump again...... He did an OK job last time around, but, toward the end, his personality flaws were showing quite well.... and if he gets elected again, that will only get MUCH worse. I really don't wanna see that. He WOULD be the one that wouldn't have a problem using nukes...... Which DOES scare me. :D Would be nice if the republicans could run a candidate that would actually have a chance of winning.....
  14. So, it seems, the more I accumulate, the slower it is to transfer to my inventory. If I don't have a lot, say, under 1000, everything is good. Go over that though, and the transfer starts taking longer and longer, regardless of how much I am transferring to my inventory. When I tried to move about 11K to my inventory, the game froze, and I got a "this program is not responding" message from windows. I don't have any mods that change Pre-War money..... But, modern firearms seems to distribute it a bit more liberally throughout the game world. I can transfer 10K of pretty much anything else, almost instantly. It is JUST pre-war money that gives problems. Any idea what that's all about?
  15. Thank You. :D I think I am going to need to spend some time, and figger out just what it is doing. :D
  16. So, revert would clear all script added categories, (which would be all but one for me, I think....) But, it would be possible to read thru the form list, build an array with all categories, and then possible dictate the order in which categories were added, and where to put them?

  18. Apparently, it is indeed possible to read the items from a form list. What I have NOT found though, as a function that ASSIGNS an index to an item on the list.... Is that possible?
  19. is it possible to shuffle that form list in-game?? Is there a 'master' list somewhere??
  20. Trouble is, script-injected categories won't show up in CK/xEdit..... they don't exist until run-time. The game engine has to have a list of categories somewhere, question becomes, is it accessible/manipulateable in-game.
