  1. Static shot won't show what it's doing, its only when you are moving, turning your head, or, the sun is changing position. Shadows don't translate well. :D They kinda flicker in/out every few seconds.
  2. Are you doing the Brotherhood of Steel questline by any chance??
  3. Well, got my new monitor, got it set up, and things are cool. (MSI 34" 4K monitor.) Tweaked some settings in my Fallout 4 inis, so I can take advantage of all of that screen real estate, and I love it. Problem I am having is, when the 'sun' moves, the shadows do really odd and strange things, kinda disconcerting. I don't *think* it was doing that previously, (1080P samsung monitor) but, there is a LOT more screen to see, so, maybe I just didn't notice it previously? Anyone know of a 'fix' for that? Or, at least, a way to reduce the effect?
  4. And of course, the one you want is part of the 25%..... :) Can you scroll up/down, and find it??
  5. In game, open the console, and type is SQT, see what quests show up.
  6. Read the comments on mods that appeal to you. Any glaring issues will be pointed out in there. Don't have to read the whole thread, as some of them can run to way to many pages. :D If you don't see anything joy-killing in the first four or five pages, you are probably good. :D Having the right weapons, and sufficient ammunition is key to taking out the raiders. I usually scout around for a good, defensible spot, and then try and draw the raiders to me. I use PANPC though, so the raiders AI tends to want them to run toward the gunfire, and the dead bodies. :D It CAN get hairy, that's why a defensible position is pretty much a requirement. :D The marketplace is a tough one though, there is never a time when it is JUST the raiders in there, so, you have to be careful whom you shoot at, and the raiders subscribe to the 'spray and pray' school of gun fighting.... THAT spot IS a tough one.
  7. Still and all, worth a shot.... So far as I know, I haven't seen ANY "tutorial" that was a mod...... they were all about making, or installing mods.... Isn't that what tutorials are for???
  8. If you open file explorer, click on This PC, it will show all the drives in your machine. Right click on your D drive, then left click on 'properties' in the context menu that comes up. On the general tab, it will tell you what kind of file system it uses.
  9. Just because a mod is old, doesn't imply it isn't any good. Read thru the recent comments on the mod, and check out the bugs tab, if there is one. There are some golden oldies out there, that were great then, and still great now. I would love to see a mod that turned Nuka World into a trading center, without the hassle of raiders...... Supposedly, that's what it was intended for in vanilla, if you didn't the "Open Season" quest, but, once done, sure, the raiders are gone, for the most part, but, that is also the end of the storyline..... Would love to be able to build the place up, and have it provide a nice income. :D (and I don't even really care about the income.)
  10. Wow. LOTS of stuff I have no clue about there. Are you using F4SE? If so, install the Better Console mod, find one of your invisible NPC's, open the console, and click on 'em. Should tell you what the last mod to affect them is.
  11. I fail to see why that would cause staff here to remove it...... It looks to be a pretty comprehensive guide..... Have you tried contacting staff, to see why it was removed? That makes very little sense to me.
  12. Theoretically, you can use the file in a video, without violating any of those terms. It wouldn't hurt to at least ask the author for permission to do so, however, I don't think that is an absolute legal requirement.
  13. Missing textures. Any mods that change armor/wearables in your load order? Likely one of them.
  14. Load up your mods in FO4Edit, and search for "kill the traitor", should only be one reference to it, or, only one mod, at any rate.
  15. The forums/mods site seem to hide things every now and again... And its rather random what it chooses to hide. Look once, not there, reload the page, there it is..... Ghost in the machine. :D
  16. If you are installing with votex, it will automatically set load order for you.
  17. Next time you see him, open the console, and click on him. (having "better console" mod installed would make this even better.) See what his base ID is, and that will tell you where he is coming from, I believe it will also tell you which mod last affects him.
  18. Sorry, a "little" late, but I played Morrowind, Oldrim, Skyrim LE, SkyrimSE (all of them multiple times) and now SkyrimAE (Alltogether roundabout 15+ years) and yet i coincidently found out i dont need Customizable Camera e.g. to change the distance, thanks to your Post. Now I'm feeling like a Idiot. Thanks for that, works like a charm! If you play on PC, the mouse wheel will adjust camera position. :D
  19. I would assume (yeah, I know...) you would be able to do that like beth did. Use buttons for the various positions, just push the button corresponding to the position you want next. (multi-level elevators.)
  20. What about an above ground hoist? Also, I do tree work occasionally, and we regularly move multi-ton chunks with ropes. Granted, they are some pretty substantial ropes. :D
  21. It's ridiculous what the market's become for GPUs. Did it start during COVID or did another factor change the price standard? I think it was a combination of factors. Covid was certainly a contributor, (chip shortage and all) but the miners were buying them up wholesale as well. Nvidia then came out with LHR cards... (low hash rate) which weren't that good for mining, but, they did their magic in the driver, and the miners worked around that one pretty quick. According to theory, the next iteration of LHR cards, were done in hardware.... I don't know just how effective that actually was though. We sold a fair few cards to some local miners.... (one guy bought more than 30 of the 3080's..... holy smoke.....) More than thirty??? Oh my. I'm not too knowledgeable on mining, but it seems to have directly impacted the GPU market as the income methods shift. Mining sounds really risky, too, because you never know when the gain's going to drop. I hope people don't invest their lives into something that soon turns up to be not what they thought they were investing into. And that's why I am not into mining. Way too volatile of a market. Bitcoin pricing going thru the roof, the supply chain issues, shutdowns of factories due to covid, etc, all combined to make vid cards almost impossible to come by. For about six months, we were selling cards on ebay, as fast as we could get them. And our pricing was generally mid-pack. We could get 20 or 30 cards in, in the morning, and by afternoon, they would all be sold. It was a HUGE money maker, even with our lower prices. We managed to pay off our new building, and the shop truck, in the first year of being there. :D (we had to move because the folks that bought out our previous building (we were renting) wanted it... and were going to raise our rent to an unaffordable level....) The market has slowed some, but, we still have a hard time getting vid cards, and they still sell out within hours of being listed, but, the margins aren't nearly what they were. (the cards themselves have gotten more expensive.... simply because they can....) Thing is, I don't see much of this changing any time soon..... with the new omicron variant, covid seems to want to hang around and disrupt our lives for a while yet. I expect another year of 'screwed up', barring yet another variant coming out.
