If it is announced at E3, it will most likely be released this year as well. Bethesda likes announcing very soon before release, and Todd has actually said that when they announce Fallout 4, it will be released very shortly after. :thumbsup:

Then I am afraid you have bought an illegal copy of the game.
I would suggest getting it on Steam, as the only legit versions of Skyrim are the ones activated through Steam. Until you have a legit copy of Skyrim, no one here can, nor will, help you with any future (potential) issues.

Where did you obtain your version of Skyrim?
Skyrim is a Steam-Exclusive game, and as such, should be in a SteamApps folder.

I assume your running on a pirated game. If so, you should buy the game on Steam right away, and support the developers of the game you are enjoying.

Joezza, your game is on Steam, right? Open the Steam Library, right-click Skyrim, and click properties. Go to the "Local Files" tab, and click the "Verify integrity of game cache..." button.

As Postal said, Skyrim requires Steam, regardless of where it was bought. Either, you have pirated the game, or someone sold you a pirated copy. In either case, I would advice you to buy the legit game. Piracy is a bannable offense on NexusMods.
