  2. You should definitely enable auto-update in Steam again. Version 1.8 does not have better performance than 1.9.

If you want the effects from ENB, you are going to notice a fps hit regardless.

  3.

There is also no indication that they rely too heavily on Nordic influences overall, as Dunmeri culture is highly influences by Japanese and Aramaic ideologies and styles. In fact, the Dunmer have received more love and attention from the developers than anyone, so if anything you could argue they are Wiaboos.

How so? I honestly don't see how they relate. I thought the races of the Akavir continent were supposed to represent Asian culture?

See, you are putting the races of Nirn into single groups. Don't do that. One race in TES is not a representation of one group/faction/race/culture in real life. They all have parts from different groups (granted, the Nords may be the most singular one). So, you may find that a race is mainly inspired by one real life culture, but that still does not make them a representation of that culture. In the next game, a race that was predominantly East-Roman in the former game, could suddenly be more Medieval Western-European, and then suddenly turn into West-Roman in the next game (i.e the Imperials between Morrowind and Oblivion, and then Skyrim).

  4. Everyone, please tone it down a little bit. This is not a history debate. Nothing in TES has anything to do with real life. Everything in the games are simply the developers take on their own fantasy universe. Whether or not the developers are more interested in Norse mythology than Roman history is not really essential, but if you insist on debating it, please be civil about it.

  5. Nexusmonster banned.

    Reason for the ban

    Piracy of X:Rebirth.

Side note : my advance apologies for i do not have a valid copy of X-Rebirth as i do not have the money nor do i currently do not think a broken game is worth the price they are selling. will purchase a better X series version with better reviews and outcome in the future. still glad to see some people trying to bring this game to life because this game has full potential.

  6. In response to post #21730874.

You mean the rude, demanding, entitled users? Yeah, if those users act like decent human beings instead, mod authors will act in kind towards them. Am I saying that all mod authors act kindly? Not at all! But the amount of rude mod users vastly outweighs the amount of rude mod authors.

When is dirt is thrown at a mod author, do you expect them to just stand there and take it? If so, you are part of the problem. They have the right to defend themselves, though preferably that would be through the report or delete button.

And one more thing; it is not demanded that a mod author should act professional. After all, they are not professionals (they are not making mods for a living - they are doing it for free). It is, in most cases, against the rules to be a professional mod author (you can't charge money for a mod in most cases).

So, bottom line, if you see someone being excessively rude towards another, whether it be a mod author or a mod user, report it. That is what the report button is there for. Do remember though, the mod author is on the home field.

  8. Megadarkspartan banned.

    Reason for the ban

Mod Theft - Uploading a French translation of 'TARDIS - Time And Relative Dimension In Space' (http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35774/?) without the permission of the actual translator (Sylom).

When confronted by Sylom, Megadarkspartan dismissed the notion that it was theft, and removed Sylom from the credits.

An offense like this would normally grant a warning, but considering the fact that Megadarkspartan simply ignored Sylom, and worked against their wishes, it became a special case. We do not want people with no respect of other peoples work on these sites. And as such, Megadarkspartan has been banned.
