Skyrim SE starts then wont load when clicking new game
SMB92 replied to SanHolo13's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Have you actually uninstalled the mods ir just unchecked them in NMM? -
Have you actually uninstalled the mods or just unchecked them?

Surely Sony would allow such a thing! I mean, look how leniant they were with the modding. The damned bleeding hearts they are. Sarcasm aside, good luck getting either of them to get on board with it :D
-
The big reason for me using Wrye bash was to manage the files myself. Take UHD Fire FX, SMIM, HD Embers and SKHD, you have to install a certain way. NMM you have to keep good memory :D

Even in vanilla game I have noticed that flame and shock animation is going static and showing "box" edges of the mesh. Other than that, are using MXAO version by any chance?
-
I would be looking for Lucians inventory list, apply a filter then look for list under "leveled list". You might find it easier if you look up Lucian himself and see the name of his list. Sorry can't be of more help right now, on my phone :/

Very bizarre that. Have you tried the beta update through steam?
-
Mmm I spotted an issue last night, on vanilla in Breezehome. A single object started to cast a striped shadow along the wall. I am also looking for secondary shadow distance, setting from Fallout 4 not working here.

You'd think so :D. Just mentioned it just in case that is the answer

By optimizing I am talking about the gfx, but not as much as I mean going through the mods in xEdit, patching accordingly and removing entire entries that are not needed, lowering amount of data and keeping very clean. I am also talking about respecting that CPU limit will occur with the single-threaded renderer, you can't win against the API. DX11 in SE is better, but by no means massive in scale like DX12 or Vulkan would hope to bring. Sure if you must have 4k and pointless 144fps go buy your second and even third gfx card, it is not necessary "must have" like it is claimed, these are over-the-hill luxuries for the cashed up. I would agree that 30fps and 60fps is a world of difference, after 60fps is just fan boy brag points. Gfx companies claiming "true 4k cards" and all the BS, yet none of them acheive this at the Ultra settings in modern games without. So they sell you 2 cards, you paying double the price for what kind if scaling? Rarely any where near 100%. Peter make a good point that you can have the second card for PhysX where needed, but then you only need a lower end card for that luxury. TL;DR Point in case, claims of SLi necessity is a lie, true 4k age has not begun (only companies continuing lies of progress), very little to gain over 1080p for massive price point. CPU will cut you off long before the gfx in this game should you keep to sane practices Also, why not go ask Boris what he think of SLi/Xfire. Get same answer as here.

Well if this is really in practice, then yes it's dishonorable and immoral way to attract viewers, and if the mods have no substance then pure click-bait trolling. Lot of mods are bring" ported", by that I mean reupladed to SSE Nexus by their authors, basically in a Alpha/Beta state (hoping it will just work). Have patience, it always take some time before you see the good content dominating the top of the charts. That and get fixed :D
-
This is a joke, one can run more mods on OG Skyrim if you are wise to optimizing and understanding that DX9 will become a CPU bottleneck. SSE with 240 mods already. So you place the second card to make up for your lack optimizing what you have. Why we need to run over 60fps is beyond me. Victim of youth-marketing numbers hype set by viscious corporate scammers.

Like building? Probably not as comprehensively, you'd have to look for mod like RTS if they ever come to exist. Apparently Skyrim uses 64-bit HDR whereas F4 32 bit so thats a plus. SSE doesn't use LUTs apparently, seen some ENB modders mentioning this (I think it makes it harder for them to acheive color balances easily). Weapon/Armor modding, have to pray for mods... What other things?
-
Wrye bash 4 life! Always used that for Oblivion and OG Skyrim. NMM isn't so bad, it'd be nice if it had an info panel for actual file conflicts, so we can see the overrides.
-
Possibly they are flagged as adult content?
-
Perhaps an item added to his inventory is bugged, maybe have a look in xEdit
-
No problem. It caught me once too :D. That and drinking my potions instead of storing them lol.
-
They should just have gone wav and been done with it.
-
Has Wrye Bash been updated for the new SSE? I would assume that is the reason why your getting this message if it hasn't. Possibly your blackscreen is from a mod, is this at startup?
-
Blame mod number 1: Populated Cities. Reported crashes in various places. But let it be said also it seems a pattern is emerging with NPC type mods. Follow above advice from wim1234 and prosper :D

But then i don't understand, I can't tell any discernable difference at 4k than 1440p with the TAA but I do understand wanting 4k in OG Skyrim with ENB due to lack of TAA, but only that. But I am biased of opinion because mine is that I see no reason for above 60fps or 4k for general gaming, some games I am running 4k simply because my single card will do it so why not but not going out of my way for it. To me it's all marketing ploy to buy more gfx and over the top monitors. All good for the rich who don't need to care, but not really anything to write home about. One can build a great gaming rig for under 3000 now.

Pretty sure thats the one.

It'd be interesting if someone created a mod where you could travel back in time with that scroll, and Snow Elves/Dwemer were still there. Hell of a lot of work to get it consistent though! I always wanted to see a game based on the time Alessia was around...

It's nothing. No open source, no freeware. Since MS bought it from Intel, you cannot have havok for free in any way or shape. OF course a game dev working for a company that acquired a license for it would have access to the code, but that's one hefty amount of money the company pays. We're stuck with nothing. Sorry that was meant as a joke :D. Thanks for the info though. Hey also some guy posted on the forum they found some tool in the creation kit in the tools folder that supposedly converts the old Havok stuff to "new" havok stuff. I have no idea how this works, so if you's didn't know it was there maybe it could be worth a look!

Mmm I find this incredible that you have ENB running with the SLi. Both XFire and SLi produce problems for me, virtually the same, whether I change AFR or not. @PeterMartyr- if you find the use for 2 cards, good for you, for the most part it is not worth buying that second card, might as well invest in the full package. Crazies recommending to buy 2x 1070s living over 1x 980ti or 1080, even at the the golden price point actually not doing themself any favors unless they stick only to apps that are supporting or happen to work. All otherwise just rich boys bragging points
