  1. Okay then at this stage I have no idea either. Do post back if you find a fix, maybe others can find it useful.
  2. Well for now, wait for the update or remove the mod. They've acknowledged it so I guess update will be soon.
  3. Ok well that rules out that. Tried deleting the INIs and regening them?
  4. With this new engine you'll find a lot less lag from "overloading" cells, think JKs Skyrim for example, I couldn't run that with ENB and ETaC on OG. The renderer is much improved, this is to me, the greatest plus. In the end that is what brought me down in the OG. I would advise to hang around and read the various threads and check the comments sections of the various mods, you can learn quite a bit if you're keen to really get into it :)
  5. Perhaps it has something to do with Wet n Cold and inbuilt compatibility with Frostfall? Perhaps those things really need the SKSE? I have not seen any reports as of yet though
  6. Well one thing straight up is that Fallout uses many many individual shaders. Also due to the pipeline that the game compiles the effects, he can add in one thing, then it is messed up by the next, or the performance is dropping here due to this effect or cache constantly miss and adding latency, etc etc etc. Quite a lot to it with the deferred render. It's simply not as straight-forward as, well, the forward renderer used in OG, because Boris wrote the whole deferred part. Skyrim SE also has some 8000 odd individual shaders, he uses some math to find similar shaders and apply effects/edits to them, so at least here much editing and optimization needs to be done. From what I can see so far from what's been posted, SE is not as bad as F4. If you follow the ENB forum, you will see a lot more technical stuff that explains certain features much more deeply than I can here.
  7. I do find the mist to be a little on the annoying side, but I think if the colors were just that bit more vibrant it would blend a bit better. But that's just my perception. I don't mind the afternoon orange so far, it makes a lot of sense in Whiterun.
  8. Sometimes what you can do is, if the download is failing in NMM, remove the download and restart NMM and try to initialize the download again from the site. Worked a few times for me.
  9. Well thats simple logic, due to new engine much mods need to be updated, especially those of which use SKSE. So technically modded saves are fine if you only ever used mods that you can port straight over. After you move your saves, try to launch the game. If they are corrupt or broken in some way you should be able to start a new game. This is usually a rare problem though. Otherwise you could try deleting the 2 INI files in that same folder and then open launcher again to regenerate them.
  10. Z-fighting is where you see "flickering" textures, many times on the distant mountains, because 2 or more items are fighting for the same screen space. It can happen close up too. Imagine if you had 2 floors, but they clip over/into each other and are at the exact same height. You would see that flickering because two objects occupy the same space so they fight each other.
  11. Well if you uninstall the game, you might find it is still present in your save file :S. Tried deleting your INIs and regenerating them? Also just to be absolutely sure, make sure there is no random INI sitting in the data folder.
  12. Thought this was a problem mentioned in SMIM due to mesh but did not see it in your load order. Maybe open up xEdit and have a look for that form and see where it is edited.
  13. Might be in one of those mods that touch on NPCs like Immersive Citizens etc. Have you tried waiting a few in game days to see if respawning the cell would fix it? In my OG, I get occasional corrupt spawns, maybe attributed to bad edits in mods or just generally the engine. Usually when the area respawns it is fixed.
  14. Don't let the anxiety eat your heart away, try to fill some time with Skyrim OG (Original Gangsta, lol) or something else ;) Okay maybe not the OG, it will probably raise your anxiety :D Concerning CBBE specifically, I hear they are building a whole new body from scratch with more polys so that would be an upgrade more than an update. I would definitely avoid any mod that has any complexity from the OG, if they haven't uploaded it to SE Nexus with test notes then it's probably not worth the risk. I'm not even using USSEP right now due to the LOD issues and couple other things. I hear Wet n Cold has some bigger issues and a couple of people have mentioned save corruption with Frostfall (unconfirmed I think). For one though, I am at a loss as to why they ported over RLO, the colors of this game are different, they should have built from scratch.
  15. you think they will update it later if they can? This is Bethesda we talking about here lol. But then again they added some features to F4 so maybe. Also ENB is being worked so maybe it'll get added there too.
  16. I thought one could adjust these settings via the INI files, maybe have a look into that.
  17. Be wary of Wet n Cold mod atm too, heard it needs some updates.
  18. Hehe, couldn't resist that one  To answer your question, it highly depends if the mod absolutely requires SKSE to function, cos if so obviously it won't work. But for mods like Frostfall where he can get away without certain features, one can use the parts that do work. From what I understand, when all these mods initialize (at boot) they will check for SKSE anyway so that shouldn't be an issue. Usually can see that info in the Papyrus log at every load. Whether or not there might be some save game issues, well I guess that remains to be seen and you'd have to accept that risk. Some authors might "dumb down" their mods just to have them function in the median, and so yes you would have to get updates for those, but for what you're asking the only issue I can see is potential save game problems. I for one am hanging around these forums gathering as much of this info as I can, before I dive in. The only mod I've installed thus far, is the new ENB beta. Oh and just to throw it out there, hopefully they are able to port all the functions as they are, so these mods can just pickup where they left off ;) Hopefully that satiates your mind for now
  19. I can't believe how quick he got it out, but then it is very basic atm. I just installed it and registered there for testing, but quite a ways off. I'll have to look at that Skyrim Re-Engaged mod, last time I checked Reshade wasn't that great but maybe he pulling some weight now.
  20. Yeah as I've been running along the roads I've noticed this. I wonder if it is for technical reasons.... Forcing in driver for now.
  21. Wow he really does work quick. To oblivion with anyone who says he is, well in his own words, "brutal".
  22. I keep seeing deer and mammoth go flying, one mammoth even died upon landing. Its definitely still Skyrim
  23. You might have to research the "quest" stages and somehow set them through console, thats all I could think of.
  24. It concerns me that there is so much trolling by new posters in such basic threads.
