  1. Np. Let me know which setup you ended up picking  PS: In case SFO trees gives you problems with performance you can replace those with David's Trees (best performance, low poly models/+2fps vs vanilla trees) or Enhanced Vanilla Trees (higher poly count).
  2. Males of Skyrim Ordinary Women Bijin mods RS Children
  3. It might be your mod setup or .ini tweaks. If you had only the mods from my list and skyrimprefs.ini set to values bellow, it should look decent. Mini Mod List: ~~~~~~~~Skyrimprefs.ini~~~~~~~~ [Display] bFloatPointRenderTarget=1 bTreesReceiveShadows=1 bDrawLandShadows=1 bShadowsOnGrass=1 bDeferredShadows=1 fGamma=1.0000 iMultiSample=0 // turns off the game's multi-sampling AA bTransparencyMultisampling=0 // turns off transparency AA [imagespace] bDoDepthOfField=1 Also disable Antialiasing and Anisoptric Filtering in your Skyrim prefs that are accessible via the launcher. (In case you have Mod Organizer >> this mod manager uses custom .inis located in Mod Organizer/Profiles folder.) Check how Shift ENB - Performance by Bretton works for you (the performance impact should be no more than 5fps). It's mostly for fixing vanilla stripping shadows and adding a bit of color and contrast. This one will look good with ELFX and CoT. Vivid Weathers is great for both adjusted ENB setups and vanilla game. You could either strip down Rudy ENB NVLA preset, by turning off Depth of Field, Ambient Occlusion and switching everything to low or make your own ENB preset. Don't use Vivid Weathers together with other weather mods like: CoT, ELE weathers, ELFX weathers. In fact you can't mix any kind of weather mods together (they are incompatible with each other) or they will start overwriting each other and producing weird colors and shadows. Decide on just one after checking it out on test save and stick to it. If you had previously installed any other weather mod, go to interior, save, remove the mod, load the save and use wait function to skip 7 days.
  4. TroubleMakers Clothing Also this should have been posted in Mod Detectives Thread sticky on top of this forums page.
  5. 3GB of Vram was a bummer on my slightly OC gtx780ti. 6GB gtx 980ti even when capped at same fps, gives much smoother experience (less stutter).
  6. Save game script cleaner by Hadoram After you're done cleaning install Crash fixes by meh321 and configure your .ini files according to the guide on Crash fixes page.
  7. Intel Core i7-2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz (8 CPUs) ~3.7GHz 8182MB RAM AMD Radeon HD 7700 How does that shape up for ENB usage? With very light ENB preset and a lot of options turned down you won't get more than 30fps. I suggest using only 1k textures with your build. 512p res for grass.
  8. SKyrim HD is pretty old (from 2012), it was just tweaked a bit in 2015. I think NobleSkyrimMod HD might cover even more than Skyrim HD and is a bit more modern. I use it as a base and then apply smaller texture mods on top of it. Base NSM HD will look like this: For 3D road stones you will want Real Roads meshes. The awkward line you are seeing at Riften entrance... it's a bad vanilla mesh placement. Bethesda just cut a sqare with tile texture and slapped it on top of ground texture. Elianora made a mod to mask this problem by adding stone slabs on both sides of the road and smoothed grass transition at the cementary at the back of the town. Atrocious Riften Texture Transition Fix. Solitude grass is suppose to have secondary textures with cut out holes to accomodate stones from walkway texture. Otherwise you get pretty nasty triangles and squares of grass. My recommendations from other thread:
  9. The graphics will look washed out, if you don't install a mod changing skylightning and/or saturation. You need a decent PC to run an ENB preset. Otherwise get SKGE or SweetFX for low spec build or laptop. ICBINE 3 - SweetFX (OFF / ON comparison video) LInk Rudy ENB preset
  10. Looks kinda like one of early Seranaholic versions (1.2 / 1.3 / 1.4), but with vanilla hair.
  11. I don't remember where it was in NMM interface, but Mod Organizer lets you lock certain .ESPs in place when you right click on it in the load order window.
  12. Not really. It's like pondering why a truck wheel doesn't fit your racing car. Each generation has new physical architecture. It has a lot to do with manufacturing process available at current time. They are trying to fit more within the same dimension, while decreasing size each few years and improving thermals. To achieve that at low production price companies experiment with different layouts on the chip. Same goes for graphics cards, but they can get away with slotting into standard PCIE 3 slot that has a cap on the data transfer. Older motherboards with PCIE 2 has to be replaced too, when you want to use graphic card powerful enough to get bottlenecked by it. There is much more to it when you take into consideration all new hardware and firmware options for motherboards, but it's a topic for another day.
  13. Few tips: - Make the blurr on the intro shorter. It's a bit borring to look at for so long. Maybe use few different shots with blurred transition (out and into focus)? - The time lapse is a bit fast, makes cloud and smoke animation look not as smooth as it is in real life (like few frames are missing here and there). You could show same spot from few angles at slower speed. - With Vivid Weathers you would get more exciting lightning transitions. Vivid sunsets/sunrises, foggy mornings, etc.
  14. The cpu socket on motherboards differs. When browsing CPUs on Newegg or other site you will notice that name tags include numbers like LGA 2011-v3, LGA 1150, LGA 1151 (Intel processors), AM3+ (AMD processors). Your z77 has LGA 1155. Besides that new types of motherboards are designed for new DDR4 memory sticks and that's one more thing that you would have to replace, if you go with i7 6xxx series in the future. That's why it's good to plan ahead and invest in mobo+cpu+ddr that will serve you well for at least 3-4 years.
  15. There is an easy way to browse an .esp content ingame. You just need UIExtensions and AddItemMenu - Ultimate Mod Explorer. It will add an item into your invetory which allows selecting an .esp from your load order durring normal gameplay and copies all the items from it into temporary player inventory. With SkyUI you can use search function/filter by typing Commoners Vest in top right corner.
  16. It's some sort of Tera Armor conversion mesh mashup. Look closely at the shoulderpads. They are identical. Also the gorget was cut a bit, but the pattern in the middle remains the same. - Screenshot Link -
  17. It would be good for this thread to have ENDERAL in the title to get more views. You could talk with nexus admins about adding it to news section. Question: Now that Enderal project have been rounded up and translated are there any plans on enhancing the available content? For example adding secondary outcome to player choices when engaging in voiced dialogue, so that we can either save an NPC or kill him/her on our own.
  18. In few games you will see higher fps in choke points. The answer: It will depend on how many cpu intensive mods you're planning to use (higher shadow distance, more detailed lods, higher poly models, more scripts running in the background, more npcs in the same cell, increasing uGrid to 7). Old Skyrim engine loves high clock rates on cpu and ram. With high grade air cooler you can get up to 4.6ghz on each clock with models like 4790k, 6700k. I would wait with the cpu upgrade for now. New generation is not too far away and swapping cpu will require motherboard upgrade. The cost might be not easily justified when you already have decent cpu. If you're dead set on getting something new, look for Black Friday deals (preferably cpu+mobo+ddr4 combo) later this year. Skyrim Remastered based on 64 bit engine (October release) will work much better with quad core CPUs. A lot of steamers will post their gameplay videos and you will be able to compare their rigs performance to yours. PS: Did you invest in SSD already? It makes huge impact on loading times and reduces lag spikes on loading uGrids.
  19. Adjusting AmbientLightningInterior in your ENB GUI might help. Check if your ENB supports adaptation. You can force custom min/max values, to get your screen to automatically brighten in dark areas. It sounds like you need a total opposite of Darker Dungeons, but all the mods I know of are catered towards immersive darkness (ELFX, etc).
  20. If you have successfuly downloaded DLC .esm/.bsa files through Steam (steam/steamapps/common/skyrim/data) and redownloaded skyrim ini's, then this must be an issue with your mod manager. Try using Mod Organizer and see how it goes. Set it to always run as administrator and let it manage archives (one of the tabs above .esp order window on the right side). Testing stuff with MO won't mess with anything that you already installed. Every mod you'll install with it will put in Mods folder and custom .ini files and load order list will be under Profiles -Default.
  21. Interior lightning is directly linked to imagespace and light sources. You will need a separate lightning mod to change it. From my experience ELFX (dark dungeons plugin) is the darkest one and covers whole game. Example You really should read a bit about tweaking ENBs. Film grain is something that can be turned off either in ENB GUI or in the text file. Also you can tweak ambient lightning level for interiors (AmbientLightingIntensityInteriorNight) and exteriors (AmbientLightingIntensityExteriorNight). More advanced presets with weathers might require some adjustments to the weathers (select show weather window in ENB GUI -shift+enter to open). The color can be cranked up by switching palette image or adjusting settings in the UI. Revamped Exterior Fog makes the exteriors "crisper" by pushing back fog particles. In the past I have used Tranquility ENB _ ExtendedFX with ELFX (author lists it as incompatible, but I didn't had any issues). I had to edit it a bit to make it look cleaner. Nowadays I'm playing with Rudy ENB. ELE had an extra plugin (RS) for light color adjustments. ELE+RS vs ELFX (normal darkness version) gallery - Link - ELFX takes into account time of the day and changes lightning accordingly.
  22. Kolseggr Mine is suppose to be the only gold mine present in the game. Someone more into lore should have more information on trade routes. I'm suspecting a lot of it is imported from Imperial capital in a form of Septim.
  23. I would still get SkyUI. It's a prerequisite for all mods with MCM menu. It also improves vanilla inventory item sorting and implements numerical keybinds (1-8') for Favorite items placed in quick slot menu (Q).
  24. I have personally steer away from "heavy" combat modifications in favor of much better and simpler lightweight solutions that have been released recently. tktk Dodge 2.0 ~ After the update the script is much more responsive. Roll forward animation has been added. tktk HitStop ~ Gives you better imput on successful strikes.\ tktk Ultimate Dragons 2.0 ~ If you liked Monster Hunter series, you will love the new Dragon behaviors. I have ditched DCO mod (and haven't looked back) after being forced to fight against mid air target for 90% of the fight. It still might be a good option for you, if you don't mind it. Wildcat - Combat of Skyrim ~ Much better solution than buggy locational damage. With different side effects attached to wound system (tripping on leg injury, etc) it encourages you to not take chances with getting hit in critical areas (brute forcing your character through the fight with 10hp left and eating 100 cheese wheels mid combat). Attack Commitment No turning during attacks Better Jumping by meh321 ~ For uninterupted Sprint to Jump animations and more realistic jump distance (you can configure it in .ini file). SKSE .dll plugin, does not take space in your load order. or Athletics Training - with MCM by Volek ~ If you don't mind scripts. Duke Patricks - Skyrim Friction Fix II ~ Prevents actors from sliding from rocks and mountains, also disables Skyrim Space Program funded by Giants. Combat Behavior Improved by Moljka ~ Removes movement restriction on block animation. Compatible with latest version of FNIS. Kick Bash by evanoblivion + Forceful Bash by Borjoyzee with Realistic Ragdolls and Force ~~~ Video (NPCs will also perform it) Follow Me and Swim After Me by Tonycubed2 - Sands of Time Team Realistic Humanoid Movement Speed by brump Archery Gameplay Overhaul ~ Mostly for the new immersive animations. Skyrim - Enhanced Camera by LogicDragon ~ For first person mesh compability with custom animations. Also forces realistic physics/perspective in 1st person on being knocked to the ground or ragdolling after death. Plus you can see yourself carring your weapon when you look down. D13 Faster GET UP STAND UP animation ~ You don't want to spend most of your time on the ground being stomped. Get Out Of My Way by Volek ~ When NPCs don't move away fast enough. Also works with Highwayman initial dialogue. Optional: Combat Evolved ~ Changes Wildcats's enemy attack patterns and can be loaded after it without loosing wound system.
  25. I would say, play Enderal for now and see how it goes with Remastered Edition at later date. Enderal was in the making for over 4 years and it seems it has as much voiced content and quests as vanilla Skyrim (8gb zip file of new assets). It's a totally standalone game (it just uses objects from base skyrim.esm). You are forced to create a new character in new land. Player progression mechanics have been revamped for the purpose of the story. What works with it: vanilla retexture mods (aMidianBorn Armors, Gamwich Rustic Clothing, etc), RaceMenu, hair mods, FNIS with patch, some new ENBs. Enderal got it's own section on Nexus -Sure AI- and with time we might see more gameplay related mods for it. Combat mods are not really needed, since the AI was redesigned from what I have observed so far. First 20min of gameplay (Prologue) and character creation: PS: It looks different with the ENB I'm using.
