You need to use a video editor and render it to something more YouTube friendly. No video uploaded to YouTube should be 15GB unless it's 10 hours long or something.

I see you figured it out yourself already.
Indeed you cannot use the redirecting shortcut urls but must use an actual url to the video file source. This seems to be a requirement of the YouTube embedded player plugin. Edited April 21, 2014 by DrakeTheDragon
