DDProductions83
Are adult mods and images opt-in by default? I can't recall anymore. If not... maybe that would be the easy solution for most? Yes - adult mods and images are disabled from view until you switch off the filter using the option on your site side profile "preferences" page listed here: http://www.nexusmods.com/games/users/preferences/? - it's the first item under "global preferences".Any adult content observable by someone that has not turned off the profile filter should be reported to staff so that we can review the page and correct any issues, whether it's tags, images/content present or something else. As was mentioned earlier, any adult/nude images uploaded to non-adult mod pages need to be addressed, either by the author changing their file to adult content status or removing the images. If they do not do either - then it should be reported. It doesn't take long to deal with something like this. Takes a REALLY short time if there was a button that had to have one of the three options clicked in order to proceed when uploading a file, especially if there was a warning about inappropriately tagging the file. Lisnpuppy
While I think awareness on the side of the the mod user that they are able to filter adult content and the continued option of users being able to tag files (yes unless the author disables them, you too can prevent forest fires and tag files so that they are correctly filtered.) Making modders more aware of the tagging and filtering system will surely be beneficial to a point. However, a warning about doing the appropriate thing only works so well. One only need see all the naked images in the general image share that the moderators have to remove every day, even though there is a big COLORED AND BOLDED TEXT saying that you can not upload naked pics, certain violent pics and other adult themes. Every day people click that button and upload it anyway. I think perhaps a better way would be to perhaps make it beneficial to tag your files. Like if they are tagged properly you get to be considered for the hot files for another week or something. I don't know...maybe get your forum name in hot pink or something fun like that. bethjunkie
So let me get this straight, a system already exists to block content you don't want to see, a system that works well if you use it. I personally have used such system to mark one of my mods as adult so that those who are offended by four bad words and a body with a cookie on it (that is only visible if you delete a dress in Nifskope or Blender) do not have to see it.And that's not good enough? It should be further banished to a separate site with tentacle mods and Shojo waifus? Uh no. The site is here to post mods and not be our parents. One has to opt in to see adult content in the first place. I totally agree with educating users more on the tag system but separating content into different sites is unnecessary. Ethreon
This again? Can a month go without someone getting all uppity about it and requesting "moderators do something!!!" ?

I totally agree with educating users more on the tag system but separating content into different sites is unnecessary.Once again, it doesn't need to be a separate site, merely a extension of this one just like any of the other game sections, blowing it out of proportion is just getting silly. The same can be said for completely ignoring the facts laid out about said tagging system and its flaws. Currently their exists only an adult tag. Nude/borderline pornographic falls into this as well as violent quest mods or ones with simply foul language. A lot of people also do not tag their files correctly. At the moment we cannot even hit the 'next step' button on the description page when uploading a mod if certain criteria are not checked or filled in, mod category for example. A simple insert into that page with the options for "Adult nudity" "Adult Content" or "Non-Adult" and then the system tags it appropriately, is not that bloody much to ask. Can we argue that point instead of some made up thing about a whole nother site?
Jokerine
I would be happy with not being allowed to continue until the mod has tags. Granted, some people would just choose one or two, but it would be a start :P A separate step to mark as adult or whatever with a big fat warning about a chance of being banned/warned/file deleted if it's not done properly would be coolo.
