[WIP] Atvir Dres: The Last Prince of Tear

I worked all day yesterday trying to figure out NPC editor. It's easy enough to use in changing the face, I just can't get it to incorporate the changes made to the Atvir mod--I'm not sure why. It wouldn't even let me save my work.

I do agree that looks are highly subjective and for that reason I wish there was a mod similar to the "Ren's Beauty Shop" for Morrowind. You could just buy some kind of face and put it on them. If I was any kind of modder, I'd have it nailed. After my experience yesterday, I can say with conviction that I am not (sadly).

Regardless of how he looks, I'm still going to incorporate the mod, it's brilliant.

You might have to save your changes as an NPC file and then incorporate them directly into Atvir's esp in order to not lose any of his custom features. Not a perfect solution but if you screw it up in some way you can always go back and get a clean Atvir file from the Nexus

Someone mind helping me out? I can't get him to talk. I mean, at all. I hit "E" on him but nothing happens. Am I an idiot, or is something wrong?

You mean initially? If it's the first time encounter at the Corner Club then you have to buy some flin from the barkeep. I usually drink some too, I'm not sure that a requirement (probably not), but that's how I got the dialog started. So buy some flin and try drinking some yourself and see how that works out.

If it's the initial encounter and the flin isn't working, it might be a different issue.

You occasionally have to save/reload a couple of times after first installing a mod like this with its own dialogue before the dialogue really "takes" and you can access the character's speech options. One of the previous official Skyrim updates caused that particular hiccup in several follower mods. Just try saving the game and immediately reloading a couple of times.

It's happened to me twice now when I first installed the mod and after I had to clean my mod folder out and reinstall everything. After that initial hiccup everything was fine, though.
