Community Manager Dark0ne Posted February 2, 2012 Community Manager Posted February 2, 2012 I'm on to you, CK beta testers... ;) Good collection of people there. Hopefully they've had an influence on the decisions and aren't just there to say "yes that works, no, that's a bug".
Vagrant0 Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 Spotted Martigen and Shademe and Dragoonwrath... Looks like they grabbed a decent assortment of some of the more active/experienced modders at the official forums for once instead of just some "prominent modders" that nobody ever heard of. Going from my conversations with the later too, I can only have good feelings about this as maybe some of the world building and editing things will have better function (Staring at you horrible default settings for heightmap generation that usually crashes before you can do much of anything).
Community Manager Dark0ne Posted February 2, 2012 Author Community Manager Posted February 2, 2012 I'd be interested to know whether they actually had any say or had their recommendations listened to regarding the functionality of the CK/SW, or whether they've just been brought on board to do Bethesda's QA and pad out their wiki for them.
PaladinRider Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 I'd be interested to know how much of a change their reports will do. I know they'll definitely speak up if something - ie Lip Syncing/LOD generation is buggered or missing altogether. But what if Bethesda ignores some of the reports? I guess I'm being a little negative about it all but I'm very pleased they're taking the time to beta test it!
Ghogiel Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 It's only a good thing, it can't hurt. And I know most of the people on the beta test from name alone.
buddah Posted February 2, 2012 Posted February 2, 2012 A very impressive assembly of some of the best, kudos to bethesda developers for their insight.
ziitch Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 It's a good start and a great selection, but they should have chosen a few that weren't BGS Forums frequenters if they wanted a wider range of opinions for beta testers - For instance, I know quite a few people who have a second opinion on the Steamworks integration, and I don't have to name names...
Community Manager Dark0ne Posted February 3, 2012 Author Community Manager Posted February 3, 2012 They're not going to want naysayers or people they don't trust helping them out.
throttlekitty Posted February 3, 2012 Posted February 3, 2012 haha, I wondered if someone was going to catch on. :) We really can't say anything other than that we are beta testers.
