However, the version is not yet available on Nexus Mods. I currently have v. 0.16.8. To paraphrase Alfred P. Doolittle in My Fair Lady, "I'm willing to download, I'm wanting to download, I'm waiting to download!"
Community Manager Dark0ne Posted October 23, 2018 Community Manager Posted October 23, 2018 If you are set to use the Stable branch in your settings and it's advising you there's a new version, then it will be the latest Stable version.

My custom has been to wait until Vortex appears in Nexus Mods, then download it into a storage folder where I have previous versions of Vortex, and finally to install it. This time I'll reverse the process. In fact, from now on I'll update any time I receive the update notification.
Katarsi Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 i would recommend you hold off updating to the .10 release for the moment. i did exactly as you suggest you're going to do and hit a small problem. i put a post up in this forum alerting the team about it. i'd hold off until someone responds to that with a workaround/fix. Oh damn, if only I had seen this before I allowed the update! :wallbash:
AugustaCalidia Posted October 23, 2018 Author Posted October 23, 2018 It now appears that some folk are having serious problems with the update to v. 0.16.10. The problems reported appear serious enough to warrant postponing the update. As for myself, my update went smoothly, and everything is working as it should. After receiving the update notification, I exited Vortex, clicked "yes" in the UAC box, and restarted Vortex. The program launched, and the update was complete. Why these updates work for some and not for others is a total mystery to me.
ajazzar Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 I installed the update, and it uninstalled all my mods, in turn breaking my Fallout completely. I guess it's back to MO... Do not use vortex.
chanchan05 Posted October 23, 2018 Posted October 23, 2018 what happens if you simply fallback to the previous version? Eveything goes back to normal, you can just dismiss the notification for the update.
