Tannin42
Actually this is probably caused by the old version, not the new one. We had a bug in the old version that could produce a ton of requests in the background in very little time. The new version doesn't have that, according to our stats it's behaving well.So my guess is that your rate limit was (almost) exceeded before you even had the new version installed. Please let us know if you continue to have rate-limit problems even after not using a version < 0.17.3 in a day. Tannin42
Did you guys actually have any trouble after the rate-limit message appeared? It may be that Vortex thinks it's being rate-limit when really there was only a temporary problem on the server. I was able to download the mod I was trying to a couple days ago with no problem. I appreciate the feedback and maybe it was a temp issue with the server

RedMachine1972
Basically if you download a lot, the actual Nexus site will restrict you to so many requests from their servers per day of 2500 and after that 100 per hour. We can no longer download until our hearts content. Also, any other requests from a download manager such as Query Info or Guess ID's adds up to that limit. I do not know about anyone else, but i feel like I payed for a lifetime premium membership, just to be screwed in the rear. I could understand placing a limit on free accounts. But to do so on payed accounts????? Makes people not want to pay at all if they cannot get a premium service for the cost they are paying. Had I known that they were going to do this, I NEVER would have payed at all.
Zanderat
So, you are downloading more than 2500 requests per day? Seriously?
AugustaCalidia
Several years ago I paid for a lifetime premiurm membership. I did so out of gratitude for the hours and hours of gaming enjoyment that the Nexus Mods site had provided me. It never occurred to me that premium membership should also afford me the right to hog the site servers at other members' expense.
