I deleted my save by accident from vortex. How to get it back?

Well turns out vortex deletes them for good probably. Because Vortex sucks a**. I just unistalled the game bc of this bs. This is freaking terrible like wtf, just throw them in the recycle bin for gods sake why does it have to delete them for good i just cant get over the fact that i lost a 28h save.....

so you delete something, and blame the tool that did exactly what you asked? i think the blame here lies with you, doesn't it?

but take this as a learning opportunity.

 

what did you learn from this exercise?

take back ups, so you can restore from them.

That's because you had Vortex to sort your Saves by Creation Date ASCENDING

You can sort your saves ASCENDING or DESCENDING by any of the Columns, it's basic Table/Database 101

You also should've checked the Game Creation time column.

Vortex provides you with all this handy information if you actually look at it.

I had a quick chat with Nagev about this and we'll have a look at some point. I believe there are some issues with Electron where putting stuff in the recycle bin is harder than deleting it.

 

Instead of deleting game saves, what if Vortex simply sent the user to the Windows folder containing the game saves? That way the task of deleting is handed off to Windows. Would that be an easy feature to implement?

There's already a toolbar button to open the folder, so that has always been an option :)
