  1. from there it would be a matter of making it work like his shield too. if someone wants to go that extra mile great, but i wont ask that much, would require custom throw animation and a way to make it come back to you etc

dont let me stop you though ;)

so you like the idea i take it?

I was actually thinking it would just work like the brass knuckles or whatever, just as a unarmed weapon. Anything else would be way to far overboard to try to figure out

but im not going to be putting it in game, I will just provide the 3D mesh file and texuture

  2. ok, then I will just keep the buildings as is, with no windows or doors, and then make those peices seperate

it makes it a whole lot easeir to texture that way, and I can also use that for different stages of damage, mabe you have to get something special in order to repair the glass or something

  3. ok, I just had a quick question that I need answered before I finish unwrapping the house I am working on

Can I have the house as a seperate file from the doors and the windows, but still put it in the game as one object?

The thing is, I have 8 different buildings I am working on, and I am useing the same windows and doors throughout the town. So, if I leave them as seperate 3Ds Max files and unwrap them seperately, it would save me a huge amount of time, because I could just merge the window into each of the files and not have to unwrap it over and over again

It would be real easy to just take the mesh and copy that into the files, but the thing I am not sure of is how the game would react to haveing multiple uvw maps. I havn't worked with putting stuff into Fallout yet, so I am not sure how the system works

so really, my question come down to, can I have a seperate UVW map for my windows and doors, but have the house still function as one object

if not, I guess I could just have them be seperate objects and attatch the doors and windows inside of the GECK, though that seems like a bit of a pain, but I think it is better than unwrapping all the windows and doors with each building mesh

  4. Tony, for your information I started today, I made a square, and a circle, a long way from a power armor I know, but I stopped procrastinating.

just so you know, there is a huge difference between being able to make simple primitives like squeres and circles and trying to make a fish people and power armor

  5. I need someone who can help me come up with a good story for the Mods I'm working on.

I am building power armors but I need a reason why they're in the fallout world.

Same goes for a new race of Mer-people I'm working on (Not Merpeople like you see on TV with fish tails and human Torsos, but they are hybrids of fish and humans)

but you havn't even started on makeing anything...

  6. to be honest with you, if you took all of the voiceovers out, I wouldn't even consider downloading you mod

but that is just my personal opinion... which is what you were looking for I assume...

  7. Is a retex of Liberty Prime to Titan's colors possible?

you would just have to find the .DDS file and then pull it up in some sort of program like Photoshop and change the colors, real simple if the plugin to read .DDS files works for you... too bad I can't get my photoshop CS4 to read .DDS files no matter what I do...

  8. There is a reason I am putting up an anti-neko fence around the girl in my adoptable child mod... :whistling:

but anyways, I wan't this armour in the game

I could model it, but I don't know it is would even be possible to put a mobile armour into Fallout

  9. @tony LMAO

picture worth 1000 words. mind if i use that pic tony, i think we can stamp it atleast twice a day hehe

The more people that use the images the better, I figured that noobs are generally too lazy to read, so I decided to keep it simple, with a big red arrow...

I have one that points to the Request Section, one that points to the Mod Detective Thread, and one that points to the New To Modding Thread... and suprisingly, I have already had to use all of them...
