ok, then I will just keep the buildings as is, with no windows or doors, and then make those peices seperate
it makes it a whole lot easeir to texture that way, and I can also use that for different stages of damage, mabe you have to get something special in order to repair the glass or something

the vision of Fallout is aimed more at the 1950s idea of what nuclear war was, as opposed to what we know now in the year 2009

yes, the ones between cells
should I do the same with the windows as well?

ok, I just had a quick question that I need answered before I finish unwrapping the house I am working on
Can I have the house as a seperate file from the doors and the windows, but still put it in the game as one object?
The thing is, I have 8 different buildings I am working on, and I am useing the same windows and doors throughout the town. So, if I leave them as seperate 3Ds Max files and unwrap them seperately, it would save me a huge amount of time, because I could just merge the window into each of the files and not have to unwrap it over and over again
It would be real easy to just take the mesh and copy that into the files, but the thing I am not sure of is how the game would react to haveing multiple uvw maps. I havn't worked with putting stuff into Fallout yet, so I am not sure how the system works
so really, my question come down to, can I have a seperate UVW map for my windows and doors, but have the house still function as one object
if not, I guess I could just have them be seperate objects and attatch the doors and windows inside of the GECK, though that seems like a bit of a pain, but I think it is better than unwrapping all the windows and doors with each building mesh

Tony, for your information I started today, I made a square, and a circle, a long way from a power armor I know, but I stopped procrastinating.
just so you know, there is a huge difference between being able to make simple primitives like squeres and circles and trying to make a fish people and power armor

it would only take me about 30 seconds to make a Captain America sheild for you, if you know how to put the mesh into the game and whatever

I need someone who can help me come up with a good story for the Mods I'm working on.
I am building power armors but I need a reason why they're in the fallout world.
Same goes for a new race of Mer-people I'm working on (Not Merpeople like you see on TV with fish tails and human Torsos, but they are hybrids of fish and humans)
but you havn't even started on makeing anything...

you could prolly use the yao guai skeleton for rigging or just make a new one.
well, eather way, untill someone is willing to do that, I won't start working on the model

Now all you need is a rigged and animated horse mesh.
I can model and texture the horse, if anyone wants to do the rest of it

to be honest with you, if you took all of the voiceovers out, I wouldn't even consider downloading you mod
but that is just my personal opinion... which is what you were looking for I assume...

Is a retex of Liberty Prime to Titan's colors possible?
you would just have to find the .DDS file and then pull it up in some sort of program like Photoshop and change the colors, real simple if the plugin to read .DDS files works for you... too bad I can't get my photoshop CS4 to read .DDS files no matter what I do...

As for killable childred: we can't advertise mods like that in these forums. You will have to make it yourself.
I don't know who told you that... but all you have to do is type it into the search box...
-
you have to make a custom race, and then assign the cutom mesh and texture to that new race

they cant get you in trouble cos its not really being rude. more like being helpful ;)
exactly
I don't want to waste my remaining two strikes on noobs that can't read

@tony LMAO
picture worth 1000 words. mind if i use that pic tony, i think we can stamp it atleast twice a day hehe
The more people that use the images the better, I figured that noobs are generally too lazy to read, so I decided to keep it simple, with a big red arrow...
I have one that points to the Request Section, one that points to the Mod Detective Thread, and one that points to the New To Modding Thread... and suprisingly, I have already had to use all of them...

I was actually thinking it would just work like the brass knuckles or whatever, just as a unarmed weapon. Anything else would be way to far overboard to try to figure out
but im not going to be putting it in game, I will just provide the 3D mesh file and texuture
