This is a general mod forum, you should at least state which game you are referring to, or tag tag your post with its name. Check the Game Communities at the top left, and see if that game has its own forum, and you can post there, to get a faster/better informed response.

[Ranks] Request for a permissions/rank system
7531Leonidas replied to HeroNashGaming's topic in Mod Ideas
What game? Would be helpful in finding those that could help. -
Try Stay at the System Page NG ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/76927 ). The NG means that you have to install the proper version of Address Library in combination with the matching SKSE for your Skyrim Version.

fallout4 Weird Skin Overlay Problem
7531Leonidas replied to lilychan01's topic in Mod Troubleshooting
@lilychan01 You should try posting this on the FO4 discussion, you would probably get better and faster help: ( https://forums.nexusmods.com/forum/8900-discussion/ ). You can browse the list of available game forums by looking for, and clicking on, the 'Game Communities' selection near the top left of every forum page. -
fallout4 Weird Skin Overlay Problem
7531Leonidas replied to lilychan01's topic in Mod Troubleshooting
Not an FO4 user, but it looks a bit similar to what happens in Skyrim when the installed body type does not match with the body type the textures were made for, like CBBE 3BA body, and UNP textures. -
Amazing Follower Tweaks (SSE) "Relax" Issue
7531Leonidas replied to DirebearCoat's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Take a look at this, Multiple Floors Sandboxing ( https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/4524 ). I used it a long time ago, got rid of it when Nether's Follower Framework included the same function. -
Well, I hope that you have found the true problem, now! Adding numerous NPC actors may have been fighting one or more of your other mods, including AI Overhaul, as I remember it works on all NPCs in some fashion or other.
-
AI Overhaul was certainly a problem for me in one area - NPC interactions in the outdoors areas when the weather was poor. Couldn't find Adrianne or an open shopkeeper when I had 3x my carry weight in loot and needed to sell the junk. Also made it much harder to chase down quest givers and quest targets, IIRC. All that aside, another way to use a profile is to disable ALL of the mods, and only enable a few at a time, and start a new game to see if there are any problems. If not, enable a few more (w/their patches) and try again. You can make a plan to avoid adding some groups of mods before you can add their patches, or reinstalling AIO patch compendiums.
-
I think that I got rid of AI Overhaul some time ago, some of its adjustments tended to cause troubles for me. Been so long ago, don't remember what the troubles were. I seem to remember some problems with city/landscape overhauls that had to be patched, but am not sure. I think that you need to be very careful how you set your LO for all of your landscape mods and overhauls, the JK stuff and Enhanced Solitude Docks might have conflicts to be taken care of, but I don't think that they should be causing your base issue.

Vortex keeps purging when I download and install a mod
7531Leonidas replied to blesch's topic in Vortex Support
I think that crashlogger logs show up in your ...\Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE folder. -
Well, it seems that you have a few choices to make. Do you have profiles available on your mod manager? You could go for a new profile, enable the mods you have now, and disable huge chunks of similar mods, and try to find the problem that way. Unless you missed some kind of patches, I wouldn't focus on the three custom NPCs, but on the lighting and weather mods (they can have weird interactions), the grass mods (some have caching routines similar to shader processes, and double check for missed requirements, as well), then the JK stuff (exteriors first, then interiors), the pandorables stuff next. I don't think that Racemenu would cause an infinite loading screen, problems there usually cause ctds/hangs during character creation. BTW, if you are on the latest version of Skyrim, have you verified your game files? OFC, that will mean cleaning them again afterwards.
-
Well, if GoToBed was installed after the problem began, it might not even be firing up.

You should probably be asking someone familiar w/FO4. CBP is an older body physics mod in the Skyrim realm. Go here ( https://forums.nexusmods.com/forum/8900-discussion/ ), join up, and post your questions there for a faster response. You can also tag this post w/FO4, and/or edit the title to add FO4, to get better/faster help.

I do have a CBPC-Collision.log, and a MergeMapper.log, a gotobed.log, in my SKSE folder in Documents. There are BugFixesSSE, ActorLimitFix, ScrambledBugs, and cbpc logs in my SKSE\plugins folder in the game's Data folder. I have AchievementModsEnabler, SMP-NPC fix, and Animation Queue Fix, but no logs for them. I do not have any of the others loaded at this time. The idea is that any mod that expected logs do NOT show up for, are not loading properly, and may be the source of your problem. You may have to go to the mod pages for the other ones that do not show a log, and ask if there should be one, and where it/they should show up when written. Just had a thought - CBP is the older version of CBPC, I think. Maybe you need to update it, at least? I think that the duplicate logs are probably ok, that the mod makes a new log each start, as a running back up.

save games load, then immediately send me to the main menu
7531Leonidas replied to Turkish183's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Just a guess, but it might be a mod that loads/runs when your save opens, not when the game starts, perhaps a UI mod, or SPID, or something similar? You could still look at the various SKSE logs in your ...\documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE folder, and look at the logs in the SKSE\plugins folder in your game's Data folder. See if anything is going wrong at all. -
Not really sure, tbh. I think that SKSE has some kind of list it looks for upon start up, but I am not sure. I think that I would try to look inside the SKSE\plugins folder and take a printscreen to get a list of my SKSE .dlls. Then, compare that list to the log list in your SKSE logs, and see which ones do NOT match up. One of those is probably your culprit, but remember to look in the SKSE\plugins folder for a couple of logs, too. My set up has logs for ActorLimitFix, BarterLimitFix, and BugFixesSSE in that folder.
-
No, you misunderstand - the latest ones (the ones associated with the latest failure/hang) are the ones you look at, to see if any bad stuff/failures to load are in them. If you do not see any, then it is time to look at which SKSE mods did not post a log. A very few SKSE mods post logs in the game's data folder (...steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\data\SKSE - I think). One trick is to use the Notepad search for 'load', which will show you every instance in the log that either loaded successfully, or did not load. This will be tedious.

Loosely, yes! Only the unclothed body will show physics unless the clothing is physics-enabled. Which version of the clothing could possibly be dependent on which game you are modding. For Skyrim SE, I have the choices of CBBE, CBBE (physics), CBBE 3BBB Amazing (3BA), and one or two others when building the outfits in BodySlide. Since I am using Faster HDT-SMP, and have the 3BA body installed, that is the choice I select for each outfit. You should probably click on the 'Game Communities' link above, and find the exact game you are modding. Join that game's community to post. There will be more ppl there who will know the ins-n-outs of that game's implementation of body physics and bodyslide better.

Vortex keeps purging when I download and install a mod
7531Leonidas replied to blesch's topic in Vortex Support
Do any of you who are having the purge problem use the Steam cloud synchronization resource for your saves, or its equivalent on your source for Skyrim? I haven't used it since just after I started, b/c it was causing save corruption, and maybe some other problems when the game was first released. -
Go to the SKSE tool on the Vortex dashboard, click on the 3-dot, select 'Edit'. Check to see that the 'Target' and 'Start In' fields have been properly filled out. They should be identical, at least through the ... Skyrim Special Edition\SSEEdit folder, the Target line should also have the name of the SKSE .exe that is in that folder as the end of the line. Vortex has to know where SKSE is...
-
Look at the SKSE logs in your ...Documents\My Games\Skyrim Special Edition\SKSE folder. Arrange them in descending modified by order, look at them from the most recent to the older ones. You should be able to spot which one(s) aren't starting properly. Might even be able to compare the log name list vs your list of SKSE .dll mods. As for the memory, you could try to use Skyrim Performance Monitor, and let it show you how much memory is being used.

Home screen and game zoomed after video card update
7531Leonidas replied to Vatanabe's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Did you check the SkyrimPrefs.ini that I referenced in my initial response, to see what the display resolution was? -
Just checked on my PC - 30 s to the screen w/the 'busy' spinner, then another 22 s to the main menu. OFC, I have a Radeon 7900 xtx w/24 gigs on board, and 64 GB ram, and running from a 2nd gen SSD. On the minus side, I am only running a Ryzen 3800x and have a 3840 x 2160 144 Hz monitor that really eats up processing memory. With all my bells and whistles, the vidcard can use up to 18-20 gig during play, and the ram another 7-8 gig on top of that. Just make sure that you have a decent vidcard with > 8 GB, and system ram of 32 GB, if you are planning to run any texture/landscape/enb stuff.
