SSE Question about SE/AE compatibility
7531Leonidas replied to Omegacron's topic in Skyrim's Creation Kit and Modders
This site lists which SKSE-dependent mods are updated/not updated: (https://modding.wiki/en/skyrim/users/skse-plugins) -
SSE Killable Serana for more zealous vampire hunters
7531Leonidas replied to AfroGamerNinja's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
FYI - This mod changes the necro summons, and makes her stronger - (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/16815). Maybe it will make Serana more useful to you :) -
Well, Gordy, it seems I have wasted your time, I am sorry. Be aware, I seem to remember that the x86 folder has more and tougher restrictions than other folders, and as a result may interfere with the installation and/or functioning of mods. Do a search for it. I am incredulous that Steam will not allow an install relocation unless another hard drive is present. Just goes along with other interface/programming restrictions being introduced by win 10 and 11. Again, I am sorry.
-
In my case, I made sure that Skyrim SE went on a much larger 2nd drive. For yourself, you get to choose, just get it out of the (x86) folder. The Documents folder will, AFAIK, follow the change. Maybe just try making a folder on your C: drive for Bethesda/Steam, and see if you can move your Skyrim installation there. My move was quite some time ago, and I don't remember any specific steps, or that I had any special problem with moving it. So, try making a new folder on your C: drive, and making a Steam folder inside that one, all the others should be created when you make the install inside the Steam folder.

Well, I did a quick search on Steam discussions, for move installation, and got this on one result: Gwarsbane Feb 13 @ 7:37am Install a small game to what ever place you want to move the game to and then the move option will popup. For what ever reason Valve has decided that a different install folder must exist before a move can happen. Last edited by Gwarsbane; Feb 13 @ 7:38am I hope that this finally helps...

Let's make sure that you are seeing the same things I am in the Steam menu. I have uploaded two image files, just go to my profile, and look at them. I am on Win 10, and I don't know if the Steam interface changes much in other OS.

I am SO very sorry, I skipped one action ;( Using the home of your Library tab in Steam, right click on The Elder Scrolls V - Skyrim Special Edition. Then you click on 'Properties', you should see a dialog box with the choices "General, Updates, Local Files, Language, Betas, Controller" stacked over each other on the left side. Select "Local Files", and you should see the three buttons, the bottom of the three is "Move Install Folder".

SSE Spell that teleports all followers and summons to you
7531Leonidas replied to Pizarro's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
I understand the reticence, but you should already be using the Unofficial Patch, at least. Swats quite a few quest-breaking bugs. NFF does a LOT, and SKSE is needed for much of it. SKSE dependent mods can have their own set of headaches, but there is more than a little experience on this site at troubleshooting, and many are willing to help. I just wish that something similar to I'm Walkin' Here (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/27742) would be incorporated into NFF, since that mod is not/will not be updated for v 1.6+. The Papyrus Utils mod can add some unique and useful functionality. -
Try right-clicking on the Skyrim entry, and look for Properties. Click it, and there should be a button to "Move Install Folder". It is the bottom button of three on this dialog.

I'm Walkin' Here (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/27742) will keep them from bumping you around. Is not updated for SE 1.6xx.

I am currently using https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/18045 in combination with https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/32052. As I am still in v. 1.5.97 SE, I don't know if they still work in v. 1.6+.

SSE Spell that teleports all followers and summons to you
7531Leonidas replied to Pizarro's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
Nether's Follower Framework (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/55653) also has this function, along with many others. -
v. 1.5.97, I have recently started getting this problem, it is happening more often. Visuals will sometimes load if I go to another area, but most times not. I can save in the black screen, i can access inventory, and will get visuals on reloading. I haven't made any changes, but I did pick up a couple of followers not too long ago. This seems very similar to the black screen bug described elsewhere, but I haven't updated. Anyone have ideas on the cause and/or a fix?

SSE Speed up Gulum Ei through the warehouse
7531Leonidas replied to cmd673's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
What, you want him to act a stupid as he is? (j/k) In my mind, he is taking a roundabout way to check for a tail, since what he is doing in the back wouldn't be well received by the Imperial guards. -
SSE 5 X further casting Conjuration Ring
7531Leonidas replied to Moksha8088's topic in Skyrim's Mod Ideas
There is this mod, no ring needed - Perks Beyond Reasonable (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/22015) You will have to check for Apocalypse compatibility. -
I have 3800x installed, w/a water cooled 2080 (2560x1600 monitor), 64G memory. According to Vortex, more than 800 mods (a LOT are just texture mods). A bit of hesitancy in some outdoors areas, but I went a bit cray-cray with DynDOLOD settings. Next time, I will be a lot lower. So, my answer would be - a lot more than you would expect! 500, carefully patched, and realistically detailed, probably shouldn't be a problem.

FWIW, I saw a post a few days ago that suggested that the breast gravity slider should be set to a minimal value. Is it possible that the gravity setting is elevated by armor/clothing? Another possibility is that you have some type of mismatch with the skeleton used for the armor/clothing. There are others here who might be able to tell you...

The plugins page on Vortex has a filter to show LOOT messages, clicking on a specific balloon will open a sidebar with the information.

BTW, Nebarra and both guys in Anna's NPCs have some attitudes to deal with. Here's two more recent ones: Bowen -(https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/62733) Goras Nels (https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/63245) I browse the updated files on Nexus every day or two, so I see this stuff a lot. -

Arms "disappeared" when arming a weapon
7531Leonidas replied to voldman99's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Vortex does run FNIS, I have it set up on my installation. There are instructional videos on using FNIS with Vortex. DuckDuckGo (DDG) search for Fore's New Idles FNIS Vortex: https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Tool_Setup:_FNIS https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7870568-vortex-and-fnis/ Basically, you install FNIS, use the dashboard of Vortex to 'add tool', and point Vortex to the install location of FNIS. Then you tell Vortex how you want it run. Did you start a new game once you completed disabling your mods? Did you check the Nexus Skyrim site (Not Skyrim Special Edition) for your mods? Skyrim Nexus is where I looked for the information to compare your SE mods with the LE (original Skyrim). If any of your mods depend on a disabled mod, your problems could persist, especially with a game saved in progress. -
At one time, I did something similar wrt LOOT, using the built-in and standalone versions, but I quit when I started getting different load orders from each, with the standalone not 'seeing' some of the mods that were installed in Vortex at that time. That is my recollection, but it has been quite some time (>1yr?).

Arms "disappeared" when arming a weapon
7531Leonidas replied to voldman99's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim SE
Since you use Vortex, you can uninstall the obsolete patches without removing them from your downloads folder, just make sure you pay attention to the checkbox in the dialog that says remove archive, and don't check it unless you want to remove the original download as well. I think that 'disable' will be sufficient to check function in your game, but I would start a new game, just to be sure. Name your character 'testasaurus', or 'testacles', or something silly, so you can easily delete it later. I am very leery of the new AE versions, and the many updates to come, as they could break other mods and patches, forcing changes in the LO generated by Vortex. Be advised, LO changes can/will break saves, sometimes not right away. Did Vortex/FNIS do its thing? FNIS is not the same file for Skyrim and Skyrim SE. That could be part, or all, of your problem. Actually, I would not use SE mods on LE at all, UNLESS specifically stated in the mod description, or you have found a good way to 'back port' the mod to LE. In particular, check your OSEX, as it has a Skyrim LE version 0002, AND Skyrim Unbound - the LE and SE versions do not have the same files. BTW - there is an 'Incompatible' flag on the Vortex Plugins page, you can check this for LE/SE incompatibilities for mods and patches.
