  1. Yeah, reinstall Directx, (you can download it from Microsoft), and then reinstall your ENB.
  2. Sometimes, just reseating your ram will solve those issues. :)
  3. Is d3d11.dll in your fallout 4 install folder? If it is, might try replacing it..... I don't know how your manager handles ENB's, so, wonder if it left out a file it shouldn't have, or included an extra?
  4. Check out Nexus Mod Manager. It was originally written for beth games. I do believe it is open source as well.
  5. Do comments even work on Bethnet any more? I thought those were powered by the forum software, which ain't there any more.....
  6. There is a google drive link in the mod comments, to what is supposed to be the latest version, however, when I open it, it just takes me to a login page.... as I don't have one, don't know if it then takes you to the files...... My guess would be "no" though..... The author hasn't been around for a few months, so, no idea if he is still working on it, or even supporting it.
  7. Well, do it yourself or give up on the whole thing. Because everyone else knows it's a terrible idea. As I said before, it can only be done from the start. EXAMPLES PLEASE. Do your own research. Don't have to. It is simply a given that mods that affect the same area, are likely to conflict. That's just the way it goes. Getting mad at an author because their mod conflicts with some other mod, is just stupid. Folks that exhibit that kind of behavior obviously have no idea just how mods actually work.
  8. This. Why beth used that particular mechanic is beyond me. I use Load Accelerator. It unlocks framerate in loading screens. Exterior to interior are darn quick, (especially with the new video card....) Interior to exterior still take longer... especially in downtown boston.
  9. Actually, beth updated FO4 for much longer than most other games. Of course, after the first couple, it wasn't about bug fixing, it was about updating the engine for creation club content. If they aren't getting truly strange with the CC content, then there won't be any further need for any more updates.
  10. I will agree that some variety of campaign finance reform is pretty much a requirement for anything to change at all..... So long as folks can buy politicians, nothing is going to improve. The Citizens United decision was a terrible mistake on the part of the Supreme Court, and basically gave the country to corporate interests. Thus, a lot of the new laws we have seen since then, giving serious advantages to business, at the expense of the average citizen, and the environment.
  11. Trouble is, there is no way to bring about those conditions. The bosses/politicians won't allow it.
  12. HeyYou

    Vortex

welcome to nexusmods. reading is optional comprehension even less so. I think folks are allergic to both.......
  13. Doesn't one of the bartenders (that wants to join the railroad) rent rooms?? (Bunker Hill.)
  14. Measure Twice, Cut Once. Words to live by. While his words ring true, but, you are missing context. He was mad because he got called out for suggesting someone defrag their solid state drive, which is a major no-no.
  15. Trouble is, the folks that make the decisions to go to war, don't have a dog in the hunt. None of THEIR kids are on the front lines...... Also, a fair few of them haven't served themselves either......
  16. A bit more of what is going on would be good...... is this at the start of the game? Or are you already into it a ways?
  17. An armed society, is a polite society. Folks are less likely to try and rob/assault/otherwise harm someone, if there is the possibility their potential victim might be armed. Texas recently passed their version of Constitutional carry. No training required, no permit required, If you can legally own a firearm, then you can carry it on your person. This is why I despise 'gun free zones'. Please notice, that the majority of 'mass shootings' actually happen in gun free zones. The shooters want to go to a place that they know for a fact, that their victim pool will be unarmed. No one will be able to shoot back. This is also why they generally have a pretty high body count..... Want to dramatically reduce the number of mass shootings? Ban Gun Free Zones.
  18. Looks a lot like a failing vid card...... What is your UGridsToLoad set at?
  19. That is surprising to hear for me. The "Bundeswehr" is often in critique for various reasons in our country. Some are reasonable, some are not, imo. At the moment a lot of vets complain about that we moved too fast out of Afghanistan and that we couldn't rescue everyone, far as I have understand it. That is of course a mistake of the politicans and not of the soldiers. Well, at least thanks to you I hear something good about the bw. That is at the moment nice to hear. -------------------- Vets will complain about one thing, and one thing only. There needs to be a concisely defined exit strategy - and that is Mutually Inclusive on meeting the objectives of the mission that sent you there in the first place. Without the latter - the whole reason for your existence in that region becomes forfeit - and watching a withdrawal will always show you the retaliation of the emboldened enemy who knows you are turning tail and running. Only time in my lifetime I've seen it done right is Gulf War #1 under the leadership of elder Bush. Set clearly defined objectives, that any monkey on the planet can understand. Meet those objectives, even if it means you have to stop a little short because what you are doing looks like a turkey shoot in the eyes of those watching the media coverage. Remove your boys, because the enemy understands the message loud and clear - as well as their neighbors. Yeah, Bush senior specifically did NOT go into Baghdad to get Saddam, because he was well aware that doing so would mire us in another viet-nam-like war. So, he stopped. One of the best decisions he ever made.
  20. Running some variety of ad-blocker? It might be blocking some element that you actually need on this site.
  21. Gotta be mod added. I have never seen that before.
  22. I don't have any mods that affect power armor, as I seldom use it. I will in Concorde, as there are a LOT of raiders, and at that point, I have very little armor..... so, PA is just about required, if I wanna survive. After that, I might collect it, but, I don't go wandering about wearing it.
  23. That's odd. Wonder if there is a setting somewhere that needs changed....
  24. Not really a fan of the Tuf gaming motherboards. Seen too many issues with 'em. The ROG series are rock solid though. I would also be tempted to replace the 2TB drive, with a solid state drive of some description. The large mechanical drives are notoriously slow, unless you get the 10K RPM fellers.
  25. That just links back to a dead page on Nexus.
