    Some mods don't support the download with manager button. If you could link to the mod in question, we can have a look, and see if it's a problem or not.

    Has the game EVER ran on that machine? What you might try is, got to your Documents\My Games\Fallout 3 folder, and rename, or delete the fallout.ini file there. Then run the games launcher, and let it re-detect your hardware.

    Ok, just tried it, worked fine for me...... I am running windows 10 Pro, and the latest version of firefox.

    Which one are you trying to buy? I just clicked the "buy premium" link at the top of the forum, clicked on the 1 month package, and it gave me the option to 'add to cart'.

    That would be literally a perpetuum mobile.If Bethesda really said they don't need to eat or crap, I'd just consider it a classical error/inconsistency. Also, that would make synth detection really trivial: lock someone in for a few days, you'll tell if they are a synth by smell. Then the question becomes: Is it they don't NEED to, and are unable? Or, they don't need to, but can when circumstances require it?

    So I downloaded a new save game that takes place just before exiting the vault. Just for kicks I left all the mods on and installed that I mentioned prior. Everything is working normally; terminals, weapons and so on. The game doesn't just crash, so it might be my original save file. This leads to a new problem maybe since i've tried cleaning my save file to fix this but didn't have any luck. Yeah, If the game still crashes after cleaning, but, doesn't with a different save file.... I think that one is toast.

    Seemingly my game is not crashing anymore, I believe this has fixed it! Thank you! (Took some time to figure out how to use the Tool but, should be useful in the future for other Bethesda games!) That is AWESOME! My game seems to be MUCH more stable since as well. Down around Quincy, I was crashing about every five minutes. After cleaning, I was able to go thru the whole place, and play for several more hours, without a crash. Played till I exited the game normally. :D

Aside from that, I am not seeing why your game should crash when it does...... Did you do anything for archive invalidation? Or version checking?

    Clean out orphaned scripts. Leave the rest, see how it goes. I removed unattached instances, and elements, didn't touch the rest. (I think the first one got the scripts.)

    Settlers will 'sandbox' in the pre-designated area. As far as I know, the only way to change that, is to change the sandbox zone in the construction kit. I don't think there is any way to get them to recognize which areas are walled in.....

    I think there was a mod like this for a previous game....... Oblivion?? It was 'fake first person'.... and just had the camera where your eyes should be, but, you were actually playing in third person... I haven't seen anything similar for subsequent games though.

    You never know Hey ... counting the roots on flowers could be fun!! I can do that from the comfort of my lawn chair. :) No need to be a 6 foot deep hole for it. :D

    Last week I chased my lawnmover around the yard. Time will tell whether or not that rain has convinced the grass it's OK to turn green ... the weeds don't seem to care much about rainfall, they just grow and grow. I often wonder how many square miles of grass I've cut over the years. I would expect the answer to that question would likely scare you. :D I hear ya on the weeds. I have a FINE crop of thistles.... I need to find out if there is a commercial use for them. I could potentially be sitting on a gold mine. :D

    Is the game using the correct video??? Do you also have an onboard video chip? (might wanna disable that in bios.....) Check your Fallout4prefs.ini, and see what it says for video card. You can also directly edit your various ini files for whatever resolution/fov you want to use.

    There are some ini settings that control how close textures load to you. I had the issue of low-res textures on top of bridges and such, shuffled some settings, and problem gone. Try these settings in your Fallout 4 ini, in the 'general' section. bForceUpdateDiffuseOnly=0 iTextureUpgradeDistance1=7500 iTextureUpgradeDistance0=5000 iTextureDegradeDistance1=7500 iTextureDegradeDistance0=5000

    Damn! Always something new to learn. :smile: Many thanks! I am a settlement addict too. :) At least, for my own purposes. I generally have two or three settlements that I build up, and just redirect settlers to them...... I keep one settlement just for myself, and go hog wild there. :) Clearing out the telephone poles, powerlines, etc, at Starlight Drive-in dramatically increases the amount of useful building space.

    Yep, FallRim tools. I used it to clear orphaned scripts (and it found 11 of them.....), a couple of the other things under the cleaning menu, and 99% of my game crashes went away.

    Still having birthdays is a GOOD thing, for the most part...... The alternative really isn't all that much fun. :D Happy Birthday! :D

    :) Weatherman: The ONLY job I know of where you can be WRONG every day, and still keep your job....... Well, ok, politicians too I suppose. Supposed to be in the low 80's the next several days, before we get back into the 90's...... Think I may actually mow my hayfield.... erm, lawn.... today. :D

    Compatibility mode in win 10 actually works pretty good. I have convinced some truly old software to run on win 10 using it...... If you have the same mods installed on the games across machines, transferring saves should work just fine, regardless of O/S.

    How was the account hacked? Was your friend duped into attempting to log in via some email link? If the machine is clean, verifying via paypal should be safe.

    Ok, that card should run the game at that resolution without any trouble whatsoever...... What do you mean by "GPU power is super low."?

    If you accidentally disable the wrong object, (it should disappear immediately) you can just type "enable" in the console, and it will come back. No need to load a save.
