I have issues with steam forgetting my settings as well. I have it set to Offline Mode, Steam Cloud Disabled, and to start in my library. It will randomly 'forget' those settings, go back online, start on the store page, etc. It's HIGHLY annoying, and steam support was zero help.

Sometime on the 15th..... No clue just when that will be in Australia. Give it a day or so, then check for updates of whatever mods you are running.

SFSE isn't compatible with GamePass version of the game, so, you can't use mods that require it.

A list of what mods you are using might be a good place to start...... Using any animation mods? I have found that if I was holding my gun wrong, some animations wouldn't play. Simply putting away my gun before activating them, worked fine.

Is there a profile specific location where it puts them? (I really don't know, I don't use MO2.....)

There is a 'decorator' panel in the cockpit of your ship now. It works just like outpost building, not sure what items you are limited to. (obviously, no buildings.....) and the ship builder has "empty" habs, for you to populate as you see fit. I am sure you can also add stuff to existing habs.... Seems to me, that might be an interesting mechanic to use for removing/replacing ladders/doors on your ship as well....

MO2 stashes ini files in it's own location, so, you gotta launch thru MO2. (one of the reasons I don't like it.) You *should* be able to point MO2 at the F4SE loader, and things should work as advertised.

What hardware are you running the game on? (Including what type of drive the game is installed to...) Any mods? Or have you used any mods in the past??

Not sure on that. I am not running the beta, just repeating what I read on Steam forums.

Try save/exit/reload.

Likely consolidating assets, and trimming the fat.

With the official version, (beta patch) your decorations remain even after changing things in the ship builder.

Official modding tools have not been released for starfield as of yet, and beth is under no constraints to make sure their changes don't affect mods. This isn't anything new, it's pretty much standard fare for a new release.

Do you considering killing dragons and stealing their souls evil? Or soul trapping in general? (wasn't there a thread about that? :) )

All the patch notes are here. However, a quick search did not yeild any results..... I *thought* I had read somewhere this issue had been addressed.... but, I can't find it in the patch notes.

Maximum budget of 600 bucks? You are not going to get a gaming laptop for that money. Did you miss a zero there??

Trouble is, planet surfaces are not 'fixed', for the most part, nothing exists there, until you land. Sure, there are some fixed POI's, but, those are very few, and far between. The game (vanilla) only remembers three landing zones, per planet. (I believe....) land a fourth times, and the first one will be different if you land there again. I would expect that planting an outpost beacon changes it to a 'fixed' layout.... which is stored in your save game.

Ok, theoretically, beth 'fixed' it. But, they also seem to have moved POI's closer together???? It's one of the latest patches, which I do not have yet. I keep Steam offline, as I don't want automatic updates. I'll update when I am good and ready. :D
